The Magic Wand is a place stuck in time and that is what makes it so special. The staff are awesome, and the food is exactly what it should be for a diner like the Magic Wand. I am once again in the Churubusco area for work and it was lunch time. I decided I would run across the street and enjoy a breaded tenderloin. The inside has not changed one bit from the last time I was there. Counter service with stools and booths everywhere else. The clowns still dominate the shelves, and the exterior still reminds me of the 50's & 60's. I am a sucker for a breaded tenderloin and the Magic Wands are pretty good. It may not have been as big as it was a few years ago but it was still delicious. Maybe I will try other things on the menu. Small steps... small steps. Go on a day trip to Churubsco this weekend for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You won't be disappointed!

And there are so many options from ice cream to gelato to sundaes. One of my nieces was very excited to see cones dipped in chocolate with sprinkles.
