Yes, Korean Fried Chicken inside an ice cream shop. We tried the K-Town Buffalo Wings, Korean Cheese Fries, and Cheesy Corn. The wings were meaty, crispy, and packed with great flavor--definitely the highlight of the meal. The fries had a decent taste and were nice and crispy, but they really needed some ketchup, which unfortunately wasn't available. Both Seoul chicken and sweet monster are located inside this one shop. We tried the chicken from Seoul chicken and it was pretty good. The chicken itself was not flavorful, but it had a nice crunch and texture and the sauces were pretty good. The chicken was made to order and we didn't have to wait long for our food. We probably waited around 10 minutes. We also tried some milk teas from sweet monster and they were really good. Both flavors we picked were pretty sweet, but we really enjoyed them. It was crowded when we arrived and we had to shuffle through the crowd to get to the ordering area, but no big deal. Everything was delicious! The wings are crispy perfection and the sauces are amazingly flavorful! The BokBok Chicken is reminiscent of YumYum sauce but waaay better! The location is easy to access in the rear of the meijer parking lot. It's on a corner near the end of the strip plaza. Even at 8pm , the shop was busy. It was full of families. They shop had about 6 employees fulfilling orders. I can see the need to have so many employees, it's constantly busy and they have to hand roll each order. They process is seamless, start to finish, for the customer. The employees are so busy it seems they have to have a certain pace to keep the flow of traffic moving. I had the strawberry cheesecake. It was $6.59. It was really tasty and the strawberry's were fresh. It was so much I couldn't finish it. While it was really good and a nice break, it wasn't exceptional, IMO. I have had rolled ice cream before, it seems to be becoming the next big thing for ice cream shops. I liked their flavor options and really cool idea for the taco shaped waffle cones. I ordered the mint Oreo . There weren't many choices for types of milk or if I could go non-dairy. The ice cream was a little too creamy/sticky and melted very quickly. I'm not too sure why but the consistency of the ice cream wasn't my favorite. It tasted great, but again the flavor just wasn't my favorite. I thought the presentation of the single roll in the waffle taco was great and the ice cream maker was super nice. I spent the last three days really wanting tea, but denying myself until it was 830 at night on a Monday and the only place open was this place. I asked for a Thai iced tea with Boba, and got the ubiquitous "Give me a tip before you have any idea what my quality of service is going to be" screen as I checked out. I don't know what it is they think they're doing, but I got something that came out of a blender, and if it had Boba in it at all, it was blended into it because this was just a sweet orange tea. Like half of the joy of a Thai iced tea is mixing it yourself and what is it doing in a blender?! I tried to go back to complain they had a ridiculous line because they are slow and for some reason people (I assume who have never been here before) show up to stand in line in a sticky floor. So I just threw the whole awful thing in the trash. Worst I have ever had, not worth the calories and I am livid at the prospect that I waited three days to have whatever this was. Great place but if you have food allergies ask first. There is the menu that lists ingredients on it but they added nuts to mine that I shouldn't have had. We ordered a peanut butter thing that was going to have bananas, nutty butters, and Reese's. I asked for the ice cream to be more chocolatly so they put more syrup on top of the ice cream instead of mixing it in and when I realized they were adding nuts to it I asked them to not to (I'm allergic to a preservative on them), but they didn't tell me they were putting some inside it too. Good thing I don't have a deadly allergy, but just ended up with a tummy ache. Other than this little mess up I'd probably come back. 12/29/2023. It will be interesting to see if this place will be able to keep its doors open. We went there for the first time tonight and didn't think such poor service existed. Thankfully there are plenty other places in Ft. Wayne that actually care about their customers. The place was staffed by teenagers tonight who were WAY more interested in talking amongst themselves since even the basic task of saying 'hello' to those who entered was beyond their training. The cashier was unable to speak loud enough to be understandable and the girls rolling the ice cream gave a collective impression they were merely waiting for their shift to end, an end that would come quicker if it weren't for those pesky customers. I asked a question of one of the workers about their product and was ignored. I thought perhaps she didn't hear me when I saw how they treated others and knew it was intentional. We did receive our orders and ate them at one of the handful of tables. While we did we saw a total of seven people walk in, get similar 'service' and then promptly leave... all within ten minutes. We simply couldn't believe what we saw... but then we just experienced the same treatment. There are too many other places that are actually thankful to have customers stop in so tonight's visit was a one time only experience. I would leave zero stars if possible. read more

Wowowow! I love Sweet Monster! I have never been into rolled ice cream and I honestly thought it was a waste of food. Then I went in and got a strawberry, banana and Nutella sundae and watched them make it. The ice cream is a liquid which they pour onto a frozen surface and scrape it into rolls. There is just the same amount of ice cream that would be lost to a scoop or the sides of a container. The ice cream is delicious and the toppings are all fresh. The ice cream reminded me of the banana split dip and dots but better quality. Definitely give this place a try! read more

We arrived on a Friday evening for a post dinner treat. There was a decent line and they were pleasantly busy. They moved people through the line quickly. The space is crowded and a little hard to navigate with the line butting up right next to tables. I felt like no matter where I stood I was in the way. The service was good, but nothing over the top. They were pleasant and got us what we needed. I really like the unique concept of the rolled ice cream made to order, it definitely sets them apart. When we got up to order I decided to try the salted caramel in a waffle taco. Go big or go home, right? The presentation was great and looks scrumptious, but the flavor of the ice left more to desired IMHO. They start by pouring ice cream mix and your add-ins onto a cold plate and hand mixing it all together. They they will it up and put toppings on it. This is a Thai rolled ice cream shop that also serves milk shakes and bubble teas. We only got ice cream so we cannot speak to the other products. A few things to know. First they appear to only take credit cards as I only saw people paying with credit and a girl in a group in front of us actually asked her friend to pay for hers because she only had cash so she gave her friend the cash and the friend paid with card. Second there are no "sizes". All of the ice creams are one size priced at 5.95 each. They each come with mix-ins into the ice cream and then also with predetermined toppings based on the flavor of product you order. (Ex Smore's comes with a toasted marshmallow, Hershey's and graham crackers on top). If you want additional toppings you can pay extra starting at 50 cents each. We went with our two 4 yo kids and I'd advise that this is not a great place to take smaller kids. It was fun for them to watch the process of it being made but there are no kid sizes so if each kid want their own flavor then that's a big huge portion and it's going to be $6 each. If you can get your kids to agree on a flavor or like your flavor they will give you extra bowls so you can take a roll or two out of yours along with some toppings and share. This is what we did. But I had to do some convincing and I essentially compromised into getting a flavor the kids wanted instead of what I wanted. The kids and I had the Cookie Monster (blue one) and my older niece got the s'mores. I tasted hers as well as eating some of mine and honestly I thought that the concept is better than the actual flavor. I didn't think there was enough overall flavor in the ice cream to warrant a higher than just average for this review. There isn't a lot of seating in the location. I imagine maybe when the weather improves they may add more seating outside? I'd hope so. We did have to wait a while in line on a Friday at 5pm but as this is a new "hot topic" place we expected as much and the line went quicker than I expected. read more

There website claims everything is made from scratch however there are boxes of chips-ahoy cookies, vanilla wafers and sanders chocolates staked on the counter. Sweet Monster is a new ice cream shop, specializing in "rolled ice cream", milkshakes & bubble teas. I had never heard of rolled ice cream before, and definitely never had been to an ice cream shop that served bubble teas. Fortunately, it has this type of uniqueness to stand out & hopefully people like, because for the price & other ice cream shops in the area, I don't see it keeping the type of crowds it's currently pulling since just opening. Especially because many restaurants haven't done well in this space, so I'm anxious to see how it goes. The service is great. Everyone is friendly & helpful. They push you through the line quickly to pay & just call our numbers for your order. Unlike most local ice cream shops, the space is fairly large, so you're not cramped while waiting. They also have some great music playing, definitely targeted towards millennials. I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake. The presentation was awesome, which I think is necessary to compete with other shops in the area. Also, the ice cream tastes good, but it is hard to categorize what it's comparable to because even though it's still ice cream - it's a totally different taste and concept.
