What a neat cafe! This space meets all the requirements of a spot that I'd go to enjoy a coffee and some sweets. The menu is quite expansive, with a surprisingly large number of seasonal drinks, sweets are huge and cover everything from braids to breads to croissants, brownies, scones, and more! All the different flavors are covered from chocolate to pistachio to tiramisu, to fruits. Similarly on the menu everything from sandwiches to salads are covered for food -- and everything from lattes to matchas to smoothies to lemonade are covered for drinks! The sheer number of options alone makes this a fantastic spot to take friends, as all the different food and drink needs can be met by the same spot. Also important is how nice this spot is decorated. Oudddddd nooooo... Oud has been popping all over. I mean ALL OVER social media and I needed to give it a try. They had open a second location in Wicker Park and finally I was nearby enough to check it out. It was the day of my daughter's birthday party in Ukrainian Village so it was literally nearby. I've never been here before and want to try a specialty drink. I asked the barista what is your speciality drink, she looked at me dumbfounded so I had to rephrase what you are known for/popular drink. She recommend the Oud Latte. However to me the mint was way too powerful where it didn't work. My sister has been here before with the downtown location & she said it was so much better so than the wicker park one. read more

Was looking for a study spot. There's some free street parking in the local neighborhood roads off of the main road so we were able to stay and study for the afternoon. Lots of seating and I especially liked the booth seats in the back. Service was fast and they were helpful in explaining what each specialty drink or dessert had. There's also a big selection of savory foods. We tried their rose latte, "The Nas" mint latte", Karak tea and pistachio lazy cake. I've had their Oud latte before and the cardamom was too strong for me as they crush whole fresh cardamom pods in, so I wanted to try something more basic this time. The rose latte was a regular latte with rose syrup. It wasn't too sweet but not a lot of rose flavor either. The mint latte was surprisingly good. It was like a regular latte with crushed fresh mint. I'm usually not a fan of mint chocolate but this just had mint flavor without the cooling feeling so I didn't mind it. The karak tea was on the sweet side. Very creamy but definitely sweetened, makes for a nice dessert drink. I loved the pistachio lazy cake before so I ordered it again. Love the soft, creamy texture. This strawberry matcha has been good. The line is a bit long and a bit understaffed so it moves slow but I think it is worth it. The matcha color was good and there were strawberry chunks so you know it is actual strawberry. It had good flavor and the colors are good. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming--shoutout to Vanessa, Yamna, Greta, and Anna, who always make the place feel warm and inviting. The coffee is excellent and reliably a step above what you'd expect, and the pastries (plus the few food items I've tried) have all been outstanding. I haven't met the owner yet, but the way the café is run really says a lot about the care and attention behind the scenes. It's clear there's pride in both the product and the customer experience.
