    Yellow curry

Wife and I came in for a date night the food is always good. I got the tofu tempura roll and it was delicious. My wife got the yellow curry we both enjoyed our food and ate it all. They recently remolded the restaurant and it felt more spacious and less loud. Our server was attentive and very nice.

The food was ok, kind of pricey for what it was. It tasted good though. The atmosphere was loud and chaotic. The service was awful. We got one refill and our visit took forever only because we hardly ever saw our waitress, even after asking for her.

The food was excellent as always, our waitress was personable and attentive. I love that they make the sushi in the dining room. The place is a lil worn but that's due to so many repeat customers .One of my daughter and I's favorite restaurants.

My family and I LOVE this place. Sushi is always fresh. The dinner plates have plenty of food and there's a wide variety of thai food to try. We arrived on a Saturday night and the whole place was packed. It's a small restaurant so you have a louder ambiance of people enjoying their meals. We were a party of 3 and had a 30 minute wait. While we were waiting, we crossed the street to Wander Bar to enjoy some cocktails before dinner. If your buzzer goes off before you finish your drink, they'll pour it into a to-go cup and Odom allows us to enjoy it at our table! I recommend this place to 2 of my friends who were with me (and have never been to Odom's) They thoroughly enjoyed the food we ordered and were impressed. For an appetizer we got the calamari and fried shrimp. And then for dinner we ordered the spicy tuna roll, crunchy roll & volcano roll. Everything was yummy and came out quickly. Always a pleasure eating here. They filled up our waters routinely. Food came fast and waiters were very nice.

I'll just say all the food was really good but the MUST GET item is the Tom Yum soup. The broth is amazing with lots of mushrooms and 3 extra large shrimp. Fantastic!

    Red curry with seafood

Our daughter has been raving about this place for years, and with our trip to Thailand coming up, we thought it would be a great opportunity to practice using chopsticks. Now, I'll be honest--don't judge this restaurant by its exterior. It's not the most inviting, especially with the rundown old bookstore next door. But trust me, don't let that deter you. Once inside, you'll find it's a bit dated but very clean. The service was fantastic--friendly, efficient, and full of helpful suggestions. I opted for the Red Curry with seafood, and my wife went for the classic Pad Thai with chicken. Both dishes were bursting with flavor and absolutely delicious. I'm aware of some past issues with a Health Department inspection a few years back, but to the owner's credit, they've since posted all their inspection results, and everything has been in order. We'll definitely be coming back. Enjoy!

The soba noodles were light, refreshing, and coated in a rich sesame sauce that had a great balance of nuttiness and subtle sweetness without being overpowering. On the other hand, the chili noodles had a completely different flavor profile-bold, savory, with a slight kick of heat that built up without overwhelming the dish. What really stood out to me was how well the noodles themselves were cooked-perfect texture, not too soft or too firm, which can be hard to get right. You can tell there's attention to detail in the preparation. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and they took the time to answer questions and give recommendations, which I always appreciate. The ambiance inside is also a big plus-clean, comfortable, and modern without feeling too trendy. One unique touch I loved was the cooking videos playing inside; it adds to the overall experience and makes the place feel more engaging. Overall, everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere made this a really enjoyable visit. I'll definitely be coming back, and this is quickly becoming one of my go-to spots when I'm craving noodles.

The server looked at with a smile and slight confusion. We realized they were not yet open! I felt like a dunce. We offered to come back. She made sure we were comfortable, provided several laughs, and advised that the chef was preparing. The ambiance was so inviting and the overall vibe was great so waiting was not even a concern. We started with the wings. Oh my! They were out of this world. I can only assume (because I didn't ask) that they were soy garlic, and oh so yummy. Extremely tender and moist, with more flavor than any wing should have. My Daughter ordered the chilli oil noodles. They were a medium spice packed with flavor. My finance ordered hot and spicy noodles that didn't hold back. They were as described with the perfect about of heat. She'd felt they would have benefited from a bit of sweetness, but were delicious. I thought they were great. I ordered the mongoose Dan Dan noodles. They were also delicious. The noodles themselves were the star I feel. They had the perfect amount of bounce giving an authenticity I didn't expect. I tried all three dishes and my favorite was the hot and spicy noodles but my daughter gave her leftovers to her boyfriend! I was offended but I survived. We shared a slice of pistachio cake that was truly special. The server told us it was amazing but we didn't expect it to be that good. It was super moist, not overly sweet, and was nothing less than perfect. Totally unexpected. This is a true gem.

I was able to find parking just down the street, but there is not really a lot of parking in the downtown area of Deland, so be forewarned. The outside is quite unassuming, and as the place only takes up a single "slot" in the row of shops along the main street, it is quite narrow inside. Not a problem for me, as I was alone, so taking up a small table near the entry was not a problem. I was greeted when I walked in and told to sit anywhere, so the small table was perfect for me. Inside is decorated relatively sparsely, but it is appropriate. The menu is what you would expect in pretty much any pho house, if you have been to a few. I went for a standard beef and meatball pho and the summer rolls, as I do love a good summer roll. They of course came out first, and I started in on them as I read my book and waited for the pho to come out. Both dishes were quite good, and if I am in the area I will absolutely be returning. It is a good heartwarming food experience, and in the colder months it is a perfect way to warm up a bit.

When you come in, it's more of a take out with tables for people that want eat in, I think about 8-9 in total, butting right up to the door for maximum capacity, but good furniture, really nice. The decor is pleasing and appropriate for the food genre. We were dining in so we got a menu and stepped aside so people behind could go. We both ordered spicy ramen, Miso chicken soup and the Korean soup, with seafood (mussels, shrimp and baby scallops). We also had the Crab Rangoon appetizer. The food came relatively quickly but it was fresh, you can tell. The operation is well done. First, the appetizer seemed like it was made to order, hot and very tasty. . Dipped in duck sauce and wow . Loved it. The ramen was also very delicious. My grandson loved his miso and my Korean style. It was a very big bowl of food so with a growing young man to help with mine, we were able to almost finish it all. Delicious. The reason for the 4 stars, really 4.5 but that's not available, is one of the shrimp in my bowl wasn't deveined and that is so unappealing to me. This scratch kitchen spot has quickly become one of my favorite places in town, and after our recent visit, my guests and I were all blown away. The food was absolutely amazing, impressing everyone at the table so much that we're already planning our next trip back--definitely going to be regulars from here on out. Everything is made from scratch with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the care and love that goes into each dish. Their menu is creative and diverse--think insanely good hand-crafted sandwiches, burgers that are huge and perfectly executed (juicy patties on toasted buns, cooked exactly to order with complex, flavorful toppings), hearty salads, quiches, sloppy joes, and daily specials that keep things exciting. We tried a mix of items, and nothing disappointed; flavors were bold, portions generous, and every bite was packed with that homemade goodness. The homemade desserts and rocking sweets are worth saving room for too--they're the perfect finish to an already stellar meal. The vibe is cozy and welcoming--cute little spot with indoor/outdoor seating, great service that's attentive and friendly (staff makes you feel like family right away), and it's in such a charming part of Artisan Alley next to the brewery, perfect for a casual lunch, dinner, or just hanging out. They even offer delivery and catering if you want to bring that magic home or to an event. BakeChop is the real deal--a local gem putting heart into food, family, friends, and good times. If you're in DeLand and haven't been yet, stop waiting and go try it. You won't be disappointed; we'll be back often for sure! If you do choose to eat there know that all the dishware is disposable plastic - they do use good sturdy plates but it's a bit of a disservice to their beautifully plated sushi to be served on plastic. Service is good as long as they're not busy. We were the only dine-in patrons and were told to grab a takeout menu and sit where we liked. We did the mental gymnastics of "do we order at the counter or will they come to us?" and the cashier must have been telepathic because she headed over a second later (the answer is it's preferred to order at the counter if they're busy). The food is decent for the cost with some highs and some lows. The Krab Don was fantastic and presented adorably. The spicy tuna roll had much needed tempura crunch inside which gives it a better texture than just minced tuna. The crunchy salmon roll tasted a little fishy and the shrimp in the shrimp and scallop hibachi was way overcooked though I give them kudos on the scallop not being overcooked. Hibachi veggies, noodles, miso and clear soups, and house salad all standard, nothing great but decent. The sushi rice was a bit dry and bland but I didn't get any nigiri so it might be better in quantity. They do thoughtful presentation, though, with carved veggies and cute wasabi leaf designs. It's very much a place you go to for value rather than quality. I'd equate the hibachi to what you'd get at the mall - decent and filling but nothing special. Sushi is on par with Publix but I believe at a better price point.
