Went yesterday for early dinner. Very nice and cozy place with indoor and outdoor seatingI would say they could use a little more lighting but overall was pleased with atmosphere. They were out of some items on menu but that didn't stop us from ordering. We had kids ramen, edamame, spring rolls, my husband had a spicy tuna bowl and I had a fire ramen with pork. I can say that it wasn't as spicy as I'd like it to be but I can also eat very spicy food like it's nothing so maybe its just me everything was full of flavor and tasted really good. I also had a green tea boba and it was delicious. Very polite staff and good prices. Thank you

The Twisted Chopstick has quickly become one of our favorites! The food is fresh, artfully presented and always delicious. It's rare that they had a food misstep. The menu is fairly extensive, offering sushi, ramen, bento boxes and more. The servers are attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu offerings. Housed in an old home on the edge of downtown DeLand, the restaurant has vintage charm, allowing the food to take center stage. They offer a selection of bottled beer as well as beer on tap, wine, and soft drinks. There is seating outside overlooking an oriental inspired garden with subdued lighting, perfect for a romantic meal on a balmy evening. If you are looking for a low key delightful meal, you must dine at The Twisted Chopstick. As a side note, The Twisted Chopstick has consistently high ratings from the health department.

Everything was absolutely fabulous and Chef Jess slayed the omakase rolls. Service was on point and it felt cozy and chic. I highly recommend sitting at the sushi counter for an intimate space watching all the sushi made.

The food was absolutely delicious. The dragon ball was absolutely delicious. The ramen I had was honestly not bad . The pork literally melted in my mouth . It was nice in light . I wish the noodles were a bit thicker, but it was still delicious . Sadly I didn't get to try out the Taro Boba tea , but I had the vanilla one to go and it was honestly pretty good . There wasn't a lot of parking space so me and my man parked at the salon next to the place . The building is so pretty. Even though it's a small building I was surprised on how pretty it was. The temperature was 65 degrees and it felt so nice after bowling . The service was good too . The lady recommended some good sushi for us , but I sadly forgot to take a picture of it to show yelp . I'll make sure to make another review next time I go . Highly recommend going .

The atmosphere, the food, the service was all a 10/10! Jasmine was our waitress and she was so sweet and very efficient. We had the sweet Thai chili edamame, several rolls, and the ramen. I highly recommend The Twisted Chopstick.

Awesome!! Charming restaurant in an old house, we sat inside in the AC and were very comfortable, there was also the option of outdoor deck seating. What we ordered: Korean BBQ Roll, Volcano Roll, Vegetable Tempura Roll, Indie Roll, Fire Ramen, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and Macha Cheesecake, Boba tea. It was truly excellent, portions were just right and every bite was delicious! We wanted a little something sweet and Nathaniel recommended the macha cheesecake! Man, was he spot on. It was the perfect ending! Great food, great service, relaxing atmosphere! We will be back!

I moved from Los Angeles and miss the amount of sushi and ramen restaurants that surrounded me. I wandered into this little cozy house and discovered such a peaceful unique sushi joint awaiting me. I don't understand how this place isn't packed because the food quality was on point!! We started off with an appetizer of the Ahi Nachos and, oh my, was it super tasty. The crunch of the chips coupled with the fresh Ahi tuna is a crowd pleaser. I ordered the Samurai roll per the waitresses recommendation. The roll was amazing and had pickled jalapeños on top which added another layer of flavor. Of course we added some sake to our dinner. We have three little ones at home and finally had a date night. This resturant had us out of there in 35 minutes and we honestly didn't feel rushed, that's how great our service was. We had enough time to hit up some batting cages and miniature golf on the way home. Thank you for giving us a wonderful date night!

Food is delicious! Never disappointed with the food, service and atmosphere. Great little restaurant to have a date night.

I'm ready to try everything on this menu! I was super excited to try this place as it has been on my list for a little since I just moved here. I'm gonna start very basic by just getting the vanilla boba. It had great flavor and the boba balls were chewy just like they should be. For dinner I got the pork broth ramen. It was awesome! Tons of flavor the pork was so tender and I ordered corn for $2. Overall the meal was super filling and I was very full when I left. For both of these items I paid $20 which isn't a bad price as I've been to other places where the bowl alone was $15+ and then add the extra toppings. Our waitress was great, she had some great recommendations. My friend was not a pork eater but she also wanted to try this version so they allowed her to sub the pork for mushrooms and that looked amazing too!

I see the miso ramen is vegetarian. What is in it that makes it vegetarian but not vegan? Looking for some vegan ramen.

I would assume that it's because it comes with the hard boiled egg in it by default. You can probably ask for it without. They were definitely accommodating about a lot of things, and were a little helpful on the phone; you might just call and ask.

The soba noodles were light, refreshing, and coated in a rich sesame sauce that had a great balance of nuttiness and subtle sweetness without being overpowering. On the other hand, the chili noodles had a completely different flavor profile-bold, savory, with a slight kick of heat that built up without overwhelming the dish. What really stood out to me was how well the noodles themselves were cooked-perfect texture, not too soft or too firm, which can be hard to get right. You can tell there's attention to detail in the preparation. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and they took the time to answer questions and give recommendations, which I always appreciate. The ambiance inside is also a big plus-clean, comfortable, and modern without feeling too trendy. One unique touch I loved was the cooking videos playing inside; it adds to the overall experience and makes the place feel more engaging. Overall, everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere made this a really enjoyable visit. I'll definitely be coming back, and this is quickly becoming one of my go-to spots when I'm craving noodles.

The server looked at with a smile and slight confusion. We realized they were not yet open! I felt like a dunce. We offered to come back. She made sure we were comfortable, provided several laughs, and advised that the chef was preparing. The ambiance was so inviting and the overall vibe was great so waiting was not even a concern. We started with the wings. Oh my! They were out of this world. I can only assume (because I didn't ask) that they were soy garlic, and oh so yummy. Extremely tender and moist, with more flavor than any wing should have. My Daughter ordered the chilli oil noodles. They were a medium spice packed with flavor. My finance ordered hot and spicy noodles that didn't hold back. They were as described with the perfect about of heat. She'd felt they would have benefited from a bit of sweetness, but were delicious. I thought they were great. I ordered the mongoose Dan Dan noodles. They were also delicious. The noodles themselves were the star I feel. They had the perfect amount of bounce giving an authenticity I didn't expect. I tried all three dishes and my favorite was the hot and spicy noodles but my daughter gave her leftovers to her boyfriend! I was offended but I survived. We shared a slice of pistachio cake that was truly special. The server told us it was amazing but we didn't expect it to be that good. It was super moist, not overly sweet, and was nothing less than perfect. Totally unexpected. This is a true gem.

On my most recent visit I ordered the Addictive Cabbage, which is supposed to come with Yugiri spice-seasoned cabbage, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and nori komi furikake. This time it was extremely dry and bland unfortunately, the Addictive Cabbage did not live up to its name-it lacked flavor and was quite dry. The past two times it fell short of expectations, especially compared to how enjoyable it has been in the past. The edamame was another letdown. It came out ice cold and was overly seasoned to the point where it was hard to enjoy. My first time trying it. For my main, I ordered spicy ramen. The noodles were clumped together and tasted undercooked. There was very little broth, and what remained had mostly been absorbed by the noodles. On top of that, both the noodles and broth were extremely salty-honestly one of the saltiest bowls of ramen I've ever had. Some ingredients also seemed to be missing. The last two times this one was disappointing. It's usually well balanced and delicious. Especially at what they charge for a bowl. The veggie dumplings were underwhelming and lacked flavor. I only tried them once so don't know if that is how they normally are. Service was just as frustrating. No one was at the counter for long stretches of time, and when I tried calling to see if I could bring the food back for a remake, there was no answer or callback. I even reached out online a few weeks ago before posting this review and still haven't received any response. I kept my receipt as well. This is now the second visit in a row where both the food and service have been disappointing. It really feels like things are declining, which is unfortunate because this place used to be reliable-especially for ramen and appetizers. I genuinely hope they turn things around, but based on my recent experiences, I can't recommend it right now.

When you come in, it's more of a take out with tables for people that want eat in, I think about 8-9 in total, butting right up to the door for maximum capacity, but good furniture, really nice. The decor is pleasing and appropriate for the food genre. We were dining in so we got a menu and stepped aside so people behind could go. We both ordered spicy ramen, Miso chicken soup and the Korean soup, with seafood (mussels, shrimp and baby scallops). We also had the Crab Rangoon appetizer. The food came relatively quickly but it was fresh, you can tell. The operation is well done. First, the appetizer seemed like it was made to order, hot and very tasty. . Dipped in duck sauce and wow . Loved it. The ramen was also very delicious. My grandson loved his miso and my Korean style. It was a very big bowl of food so with a growing young man to help with mine, we were able to almost finish it all. Delicious. The reason for the 4 stars, really 4.5 but that's not available, is one of the shrimp in my bowl wasn't deveined and that is so unappealing to me. I was able to find parking just down the street, but there is not really a lot of parking in the downtown area of Deland, so be forewarned. The outside is quite unassuming, and as the place only takes up a single "slot" in the row of shops along the main street, it is quite narrow inside. Hanwoo Korean BBQ--The "Hidden Workout" Dinner **Strechy…read morepants, may be required** Rating: 5-Star If you want to feel like a Michelin-star chef and a competitive eater at the same time, get yourself to Hanwoo in Port Orange. I went with my BFF and her boyfriend after hearing all the hype, and let's just say, the hype is real (and very filling). The Vibe: Steakhouse Chic meets DIY: Oddly enough, the decor gives off major upscale steakhouse vibes. It's sleek, dark, and actually quite romantic or great for a quiet "getaway" dinner. It's definitely not your average "greasy grill" joint--the atmosphere is gorgeous and classy. Disclaimer: Even tho I was the 3rd wheel. lol The "No Doggy Bag" Challenge: Our waitress was super nice, but she didn't waste a second before dropping the hammer: "No to-go bags allowed." Basically, she was telling us, "Eat it all or leave it behind." Naturally, we took that as a personal challenge--accepted! The Food: Why it Beats a Traditional Steakhouse We went with the Classic Dinner, and the quality was top-tier. The Favorites: The Bulgogi and Hanger Steak were flavored to perfection. The Short Ribs were a total dream, and the Gyoza and Fried Shrimp were the perfect crispy distraction while we waited for the grill to heat up. The Value: Think about it--at a fancy steakhouse, you'd pay $50+ for one steak and maybe a side. Here, for a similar price, you get an unlimited parade of high-quality meats, seafood, and appetizers. Plus, I'd much rather pay for a nice sit-down meal--even if I have to cook it myself (pun intended! lol)--than waste money on "yucky" fast food. The Aftermath: I walked in hungry and left "overfilled." I'm not kidding when I say I literally couldn't get up from the booth. I had to sit there and contemplate my life choices for a few minutes before my legs would work. It's the kind of fun, delicious experience you do once a month or every other month to keep it special. (if that) Pro-Tips for Hanwoo Newbies: The "Same Page" Rule: Remember, the whole table has to pick the same menu (Classic or Signature). Choose your "meat-mates" wisely! Pace Yourself: It's all-you-can-eat, but the "no to-go" rule is real. Don't order 10 plates at once or you'll be staring at a pile of steak you're too full to eat. (Please be concious, don't waste food, TY). The "Forklift" Exit: Wear stretchy pants. This is not the place for tight belts or restrictive clothing. You will expand. For real tho, lol Master the Scissors: Use the provided tongs and scissors to cut the meat into bite-sized pieces while it's on the grill--it cooks faster and makes it easier to share!

I've been here 2x and both times the food was impeccable…read more I got the Coconut Shrimp roll, Florida roll, and Alaska roll (2x) across my visits. The Coconut Shrimp roll was sweet from the coconut sauce and the coconut added a yummy flavor and texture to the roll, as well. If you like coconut and sweet rolls, you'll love this. The Florida roll was GAS ! I just started getting into spicy food and spicy tuna recently and this was just perfect. The right amount of bite and the spicy tuna on top tasted so good. It seems like they mash it up, which makes it easier to chew than typical raw tuna. A great savory roll and the flavor profile was just right, adding the eel sauce was a nice touch. The Alaska Roll speaks for itself, I mean look at that mountain of crunch I got it both times I went (inadvertently). I think I got it right with the name... I was calling it the volcano roll, but that has mango sauce on it. This one has kani on top and cream cheese inside and probably shrimp tempura. I really loved this roll, like a mountain of flavor every bite. The atmosphere is small with authentic looking Japanese decor and quiet. A nice spot for a week day dinner (might get crowded on the weekend). Really great food though overall. Ate these rolls as leftovers both times and was good the next day

Very nice restaurant. Clean and super friendly staff. Came here for lunch with some coworkers and…read morewe all ordered the 3 roll special. The special comes with miso soup or clear soup and if you want the house salad (like I did) there's like an extra $2 charge. The restaurant wasn't super busy when we arrived but I will say it took a little longer than anticipated to receive our rolls, which again were more basic ones since we did the lunch special. So on to the main event: the sushi! Definitely fresh, nothing tasted off putting or stale. However, the overall flavor of the rolls were lacking hence my 4 star review. I would come back just to try other items but the three rolls I ordered off the lunch menu were 1. Seared tuna scallion roll (6 pieces and rather small) 2. Spicy krab roll (this was pretty mid, 8 pieces) and 3. Spicy salmon roll (not spicy at all lol and again just okay)

Went with my wife who is not a sushi fan since they have hibachi on the menu she could enjoy. While…read morethe sushi was a mix of some good and some just okay roles, the hibachi was a total turn off. She was so unimpressed by it I felt compelled to try it once I was done with my sushi. To my horror it was the worst hibachi I've ever had; there are several takeout/express type places I would rank above this in terms of quality. The steak had no sear at all on it, everything on the plate including the veggies was bland and lacking flavor, but the biggest disappointment? The rice. It had some sort of weird flavor to it and was extremely dry. While I would go back for the sushi, I cannot recommend this place for anyone that isn't a sushi fan.

I've been eating at Takumi for many years. It's my first time back after a while…read more I ordered take out (Vegetable Hibachi) because who doesn't love a good lunch special? It comes with noodles, upgraded fried rice and a medley of vegetables. I love that they include a miso soup. It's super easy to order with them on the phone and when I got there, everything was available and ready to go. Today the food was OK. My meal might've been soured because of a tiny hiccup I had. Years ago, I got a gift card from them, which I use only once since. Today I was told I had a zero balance on it and that the gift card never had any money on it based on their records. That's obviously impossible because why would I have a gift card that never had anything on it? I would say get gift cards with caution. Otherwise check them out for sure. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Ocoee because they have anime decoration and fun clean spaces. Dig in!
