My parents like going here and I have no idea why. This is absolutely the most overpriced and gross food I have eaten in a long time. But first let's talk about the horrible service and the little girls there who look and act like they are hating life. The food...gross. Bland tasteless and just gross. The pretentious attitude and serving sucks. They clearly think they are something special here. Also the over serving of beverages. What a waste. Don't go. Oh my goodness!! First breakfast place I have ever enjoyed. Friendly staff and service. The food was fresh tasting and beautifully presented. I had the eggs Benedict with tender tiny asparagus, mushrooms, spinach and tomatoes. They know how to poach an egg perfectly! It came with dressed greens. Do not think meh on the greens. They were fresh and dressed in a light sweet tart vinaigrette. Yum. My friend had a skillet scramble with avocado and it looked yummy too. We shared a huge pancake which was fluffy but had crispy edges. So good. If you are ever in the Waco area this place is a must! read more

This is a great family owned restaurant that you will want to eat at whether you're a resident, visitor, or just passing through. But get here early or outside of peek hours on weekends. Generally we love coming here every time we come to see our son who is attending at Baylor University. Today was extremely busy as we waited 40 minutes for a table. It was a Saturday. We came in on Thursday and had a much better experience. I ordered the same dish both times bc the first time the Tate was awesome and it was enjoyable. Unfortunately the second time was not a good experience. I got the ham and bacon scramble over ranch potatoes with two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. The eggs were way over cooked (the yolks should be runny not soft boiled through out) the ham was super salty and very little hollandaise sauce. It took 15 minutes to get the server over to the table to have new eggs made, but when they came to the table there again was no hollandaise sauce. I had asked for it though and never got it. My son was with us this time he got the French toast and they were a little burnt but he doesn't like to complain so he didn't. My fiancé got the biscuits and gravy which she said the biscuits were super dry. But we will probably still give them another chance when we come for homecoming weekend. read more

This is no IHOP! My favorite breakfast place in the Waco area! Have tried multiple dishes and have not been disappointed! The staff are very courteous and attentive. If around for the winter specials, recommend the winter hash! So good. The apple granola pancake is also a great standby and these people know how to cook their eggs so can't go wrong with any egg dish. I have now become at least a once a week regular. Highly recommend! It was French toast stuffed with cream cheese, topped with berries of course, plus 2eggs and bacon. What could be wrong with that? Nothing! Breakfast with dessert!!! YUM! Only about a 10 minute wait. The inside has a cafe feel. It was enjoyable. The menu has great variety of choices! The coffee is great! We ordered the Farmer's hash, Mexican Skillet & a side of biscuits and sausage gravy. The Hash was perfect! Clean eating and not heavy. The dressed greens on the side had a nice acidic dressing. The Mexican skillet was ok. Comparable to a breakfast taco on a plate with a tortilla on the side. The biscuit and gravy was good, nothing spectacular but good.
