So yelp, I am referring you to an auto repair shop that is honest, reliable, transparent, and fair. Things that we have lost sight of when we think of auto repair. This auto repair shop is owned by a set of twin brothers, one of which I know as Mr. Oh. It's a korean auto repair shop, so English proficiency is a bit limited, but I've never had any issues. Twins can do all of your basic services like oil changes, tire rotations, flushes etc, but has the capability of doing more technical repairs too. They have 2 full lifts, and the shop is extremely clean. One thing that is unique, is that you can bring parts to have them installed at their typical hourly rate. Say you order cheaper parts off tirerack etc and just want them put in. Twins can do that. Or you can order parts through them. This has been my preferred method, as I am very selective of the brands and quality I replace parts on my car with. Mr. Oh is very attentive and takes the to explain problems, how he plans to solve them, and also gives you heads up of upcoming repairs/services. It's this transparency and no BS approach that I am a huge fan of. He's not selling me other services or parts I don't need. It's this personal relationship that I feel comfortable bringing my car back, and refer my friends to. Let them prove to you they are the best. You won't regret it. Only cons: 2 lifts. This guy is the least honest and skilled mechanic I've ever met. He doesn't know what he is doing. The only thing he knows how to say is" oil change "and "pay pay".NEVER go to this shop he will use your car as a guinea pig and screw your engine. He took my car for a diagnosis since it was making noise and told me he would need to change a transmission shaft, he reassured me he knew what the problem was and how to get it fixed. after few days he called me to tell me he does't have the tools to fixe my car bla bla bla. when I went to pick up my car it won't start and he still wanted to charge me over 1300 for messing up my engine and called it "labor"!!!!STAY AWAY from this shop. you'd never know what damage he can cause to your vehicle, hold your keys and ask you to pay read more

I checked Yelp for a auto mechanic in the Gaithersburg area because I needed my breaks checked Twins auto had good reviews so I took a chance and called them they told me to bring my car out the next day (it was 5:00 pm when I made the call). I took my car there the next after noon around 3:00 pm he placed my car on the lift looked at my breaks showed me the problems and gave me a free estimate the price was way lower then I thought it would be but not so low that it was suspect he told me it would be done by the next morning I took my car back there two weeks later for an oil change that he only charged me $28.00. This shop is a ripoff. Unlike any other repair shop that I've been to, this is the only guy who dismantled my car's engine and changed parts without my consent. I got my old Audi A6 towed to his shop for diagnosis and God I wish I didn't. First of all I found it extremely hard to communicate with him since he couldn't even name the parts. After a shallow phone call he proceeded to change the rear control arms without telling me. I got another phone call from him few days later to get the bill and pick up my car. I went there only to find out that my car was not running and needed to be towed! why? The transmission needed to be rebuilt and he wouldn't do it because it's a European car. That's what was wrong with my car he said! but he still charged me a whooping $1700 for the unnecessary make up he's done on it. and asked me to get it towed and spend and extra +$$4000 to rebuild it's transmission somewhere else. I was speechless and felt like someone who went to a surgeon for a knee surgery but got a nose job instead and was sent home on a wheel chair knowing that I would never walk again read more
