This company made an unpleasant experience so much easier with their warm helpful attitude and service. My car needed body work from a Collinson and the not only did a fantastic repair but helped with the insurance company, as well. They recommended Enterprise rental car nearby in Rockville which also worked out well. To help me with drop off, pick up, I left my rental car at National when picking up my own car after repairs and they returned it for me, saving yet another step for m.e. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the customer-focused attention. My regular mechanic (Iron Mike's in Rockville- whom I swear by), sent me to National Autobody for parking lot body damage which wasn't covered by insurance, meaning this was coming out of pocket. The damage to my car involved a hood with complex curvature - originally I was told it would have to be replaced, but there were no replacement parts available. So National repaired the old hood and did a magnificent job. Paint quality and matching was excellent as well. They even fixed a bad two-year-old paint fix from Caliber Collision (note: avoid Caliber Collision! they left my car two-toned) - the car looks as good as new. Perhaps most impressive, even though the repair work turned out to be much harder than originally thought, and took several days extra, I was charged the originally-quoted price. I even offered to pay more given the added complexity, but the shop manager told me he wasn't going to give a car back to a customer unless the work was done absolutely correctly, and the customer was completely happy, at the promised price. Bottom line - excellent quality work, high integrity, and recommended without question. read more

I got into a pretty nasty car accident in November. My insurance decided they wanted to total my car, even though i had just got a FREE brand new engine from Kia, new brakes, and had just replaced the battery. National auto body saw the value in my car and helped us battle through insurance, and when they ultimately decided not to fix it, national auto body worked with us to get it fixed. A special thank you to Anthony for keeping us posted daily about my car, and to the gentleman who went over the final bill, line by line upon pick-up (i can't remember his name). When i got there to finally pick it up, it looked brand new. I'm almost positive they waxed it because it has NEVER looked that shiny, the interior smelled like a new car (its a 2012 mind you), and it runs like new. Thank you National Auto Body. Oleg and his crew did a great job fixing my 2014 Camry hybrid after a collision in Virginia. I was concerned it would never be the same, but now it looks as good as new! I had a busted taillight from rear tire blowout. I came in with a spare taillight that I had from ages ago. I was expecting to get charged after a repairman came out and swiftly replaced the taillight for me but he didn't charge me at all! I have had two of my cars struck by other drivers or by deer in the last year. Both times I took my cars to National Auto Body in Rockville. In both cases the work repairing the car was fantastic. My Infiniti G37X had damage down the entire right side of the car from the front fender, both doors and rear fender. It looked like someone used a giant can opener ripping the metal apart. My Lexus GS 350 was hit by a deer recently and the front bumper, front fender and drivers door were all damaged. I couldn't believe how good the Infiniti G37X looked when I picked it up. They had matched the paint job perfectly and looked like they put a clear coat polish on the entire car. It actually looked better then it did when I purchased the car new. The Lexus had 7 years on it, 160K miles and fading paint. My reaction was the same when I saw the car. It was restored beautifully. read more

These guys are the best... I brought my car here a few years back to get some body work done from an accident and they did it efficiently and at a fair price. I brought my car back in to have them look at some damage done from various hit and runs (sadly). They checked it out and told me honestly that i didn't need it fixed right now. I really appreciated their candor and they did all this free of charge. I wish more businesses had this kind of customer service. read more

My car was hit on the front panel and then back panel while parked in the span of a week. No other area was involved. I've used two body shops in the region. One is further than I prefer to drive, and the other closed on the retirement of the owner. So, I decided to try this body shop near my home. I got an estimate and scheduled the work a month and a half in advance (the earliest date available). They were _extremely_ interested in whether I was using an insurance claim to pay, which I wasn't. I dropped the car off, and then got a call 4 days later telling me that after removing my back bumper they would only be able to reattach it if I paid another $1,100 (again, they inquired about insurance). Remember, the bumper was not hit, and it had absolutely no visible damage. I responded quite negatively and indicated I felt they were being dishonest, at which point they indicated they would manage to get the bumper back on for no extra charge. Finally, after 9 business days I'm told my car is available. I pay and then go to my car, which will not start - dead battery. The car is only a few years old and worked perfectly (the only reason I would pay out of pocket for cosmetic repairs). I also notice that several things are different - quarter tank of gas used, radio on a station I never listen to, heat cranked to 86 (70 is the highest I ever set it), and strange new stains on the front passenger seat. Basically, I came away with the impression this business milks insurance for all they can (I think they goofed and forgot I wasn't using insurance) and may use customer's cars for unauthorized purposes. Once again, I've used other body shops and been totally satisfied. I'll never go here again. read more

This is a superb business. I had my first visit there today for a small repair and was treated like I had been a loyal customer for 20 years. The job was done quickly, at the prescheduled time, and for half the price that my dealer wanted. They even took care of an additional item while they were working on it at no extra cost. How often does that happen? Their waiting area is exceptionally inviting and comfortable, free wifi, immaculately clean rest room, and even a nice dog to play with. Just in the time I waited I heard several interactions their associates had with customers that impressed me with their professionalism and honesty. I'm super picky about anyone working on my cars but, unfortunately, I really hate doing body work. I needed my front bumper cover overhauled due to a sizable scratch and a broken screw hole at the corner that prevented the bumper from staying in place, so I shopped around for estimates at a few highly-rated body shops in the Rockville area. On the outside, you would never think it was a collision repair shop (especially since the recent wind storm tore down their main sign), but National Auto Body was not only the nicest shop I visited, but they also came in with the lowest estimate even with a brand new, OEM bumper! The other shops wanted $100+ more just to overhaul the original bumper and couldn't address the broken screw hole. They are a Honda ProFirst Certified repair facility, which means they're also an I-CAR Gold Class Professionals shop, so I felt even better knowing that they were Honda-certified experts and would have access to OEM Honda parts and repair information. The bumper came out beautiful, with absolutely no overspray in the lower grill area and perfectly straight edges. The paint was perfectly uniform across the entire face and has no runs or drips anywhere. I always look to support a local, family-owned businesses and they are among the best! Teri was warm and welcoming and greeted me by name when I walked in even though we only briefly met during the estimate and when I dropped off the key. Sandy, the beautiful shop mascot, was also super friendly and loves to be pet! Don't hesitate to bring your cars to them for repair! read more

I used these folks about a year ago to fix 2k worth of damage to my 09 Camry hit by another car. Replaced a driver's side door and did other work on the bumper and side panels. This is the second time I've used National. They were recommended by a couple people at work located nearby. They're not only easy to work with, but thorough and informative. Twice now, they've gone the extra mile and fixed something at no cost small that was not part of the main repair (once a turn signal light and once buffing out some scratches on the opposite end of the car from the main damage). They keep you updated regularly on progress and always wash and vacuum the car before giving it back. read more

My mom had a fender bender about 2 weeks ago and we went to this location because it is Honda Certified. The estimate was about $800 which was an fair price. The car had been in the shop for about three days and when I had dropped in the car, it had 2,811 miles. But when I recently got it, it had 2,985 Miles. This is so ridiculous!! They had put on more than 100 miles. I had called and they said that they had to move the car frequently. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

They took the time to do the job right, which isn't what you see often. My car looks brand new. They worked on my fiance's truck multiple times and even my future mother and laws van.
