Somewhat of a new bakery and general food spot in Yerrington. I have come here a few times now to grab lunch and each time its been solid. I have had their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Philly Cheesesteak, and Carne asada burrito. Even with the food being above average I still hesitate to go back because of a few things. First one being in regards to the seating within the restaurant. It's a complete joke. I don't want to sit in small uncomfortable metal chairs or a wooden bench. Second, is their french fries, they are way to greasy and really just suck. I have even requested them to be well done but even then they are limp and greasy. Lastly, why can't I have a breakfast burrito for lunch. It's weird that I can have it after 2pm but can't at noon. Overall, like it said it's not a bad spot but it's also not a spot I would crave to eat at either. read more

I've already been here a couple times now. I wanted to wait on reviewing it until they've had enough time to work out the kinks (they've recently opened). I'll start by saying I'm not crazy about the interior. I do like the hanging lights they've put up to give it a dark & cozy feel, but I hate the seating arrangements. For starters, there's only 2-3 tables with chairs and they look cheap. Almost like they picked them up at a garage sale or something. Also, the place doesn't have a very welcoming vibe to it, in my opinion. It appears unorganized and hastily thrown together. That's the biggest area of improvement I see for this place. Now on to the good. On my first visit, all I ordered was the Peanut Butter Protein shake and it wasn't very good. The taste of banana was strong with only a hint of PB. This time around, the flavor profile was much more balanced. So while it has improved, it's still something I feel I could just whip up at home instead of plopping down $6 bucks for. It needs something added to give it a boost. I also gave the food a shot and ordered the, "New York", bagel. It was scrambled egg, bacon, cheese, and ham (I had them hold the ham) sandwiched in between a, you guessed it, bagel. I will admit, it was delicious. Huge, as well. They certainly don't skimp on the serving size. My only complaint was that they used what appeared to be a "Kraft" slice of cheese. I could be wrong, but that's what it looked like to me. I wish they would use a higher quality cheese. The customer service is good. In the few times I've been there I haven't encountered any rude employees. While I feel that there's definitely some improvements that need to be addressed, they're also off to a decent start. Using better quality ingredients, labeling items that contain nuts (for those with allergies), and improving the look & feel of the interior is what I would like to see. Cute small town bakery! While their selection of their pastries can vary day to day (today they had 4 kinds of turnovers, but no other types of pastries), they have a large selection of fresh baked breads to choose from. They also had a large menu of options from breakfast burritos to lunch paninis to pizza and more, everything is priced well and made fresh to order. I tried a pineapple turnover that was super fresh and flaky, with a lot of filling in the middle. I also had the Detox smoothie, and found out it's made with only fresh fruit and no juices, syrups or fillers. Very refreshing! I must admit, the table of 4 next to me each ordered the breakfast burritos and they looked awesome!!! Large in size and be sure to ask for red salsa. Service was okay. The staff certainly didn't go out of their way to be very welcoming to me or helpful in showing where their menu is (as it is no longer on the wall as shown in other poctures, but is now a printed paper menu), but they were certainly not rude either. I'd still give 5 stars because I didn't come to this small town bakery for it's service, I came for fresh baked goods and quality food! Overall, great hidden gem in the small town of Yerington, NV. Hard to believe this place has good reviews unless this is some sort of George Costanza bizarro world rating system. This place might be the worst cafe I have ever visited in my shirt little life. The coffee was terrible ... it was so clear that it made dirty water look clean and it was completely devoid of any coffee flavor or aroma. Now, the really funny part was when I told the young server/cashier that it was very weak and without any flavor at all, she proceeded to explain to me about coffee. I asked if she could remake it but stronger and she said no but then she offered to add a shot. A shot of what I don't know since she said they don't do espresso here (it's all over the menu tho). I didn't quite follow her but I said okay and then she said, "it's going to cost you xx more". At this point, I just said, I'll have a Coke. Their sign advertises Artisan baked goods and I inquired about their pastries. The young lady didn't seem to know much about them and she was even less interested in telling me about them. When I looked closely, they looked like store bought pastries that had been sitting in the case for a while. So, this is a long winded way of saying, if you want coffee when passing through Yerington, I suggest you fill up your travel mug before you leave home. And if you want a pastry, stop at Raleys down the road (otherwise you might be getting last weeks Raleys selections). On the other hand, being the worst cafe of the hundreds, maybe a thousand I've visited should merit some kind of award. They are clearly working very hard to be bad. Perhaps it does deserve 5 stars on the Costanza rating system. Congrats! read more

Such a cute place! Fresh bread is $5 and they are huge loafs! The family that owns this cafe are wonderful, friendly and make great burritos! Just know the size of the burritos and tortas are huge! The only negative is the barista isn't always working so you might not be able to get coffee. The young man at the register has a great sense of humor! read more

The best cup of piping hot coffee that I've had in 10 years and I live in Kona! I bought one of almost every pastry that they baked that morning and my winner is this dream boat of a mouthful that I learned was called a custard pillow. I, no shit you brah, broke da mouth! I was giving this place a chance, since they are new in town. Hoping they'd do a great job... but it was just OK. All I pretty much wanted was a simple white cake with flowers on the side.. but I didn't get what I wanted. I really did not like the stamping in the fondant and the sad part was it wasn't even smooth it was lumpy and just sad. I clearly stated flowers on the side....the side! But I couldn't do anything about it.. since it was for my wedding and had someone pick it up for me and take it to the event. The inside was good tho. Went in this afternoon with a friend and was surprisingly disappointed. They lady that took our order was rushing us to order when it wasn't busy at all. She kept saying okay anything else and you can pay now when I trying to pull my card out. Ordered a chicken quesadilla and she asked if I wanted to salsa on the side. My friend ordered a Greek salad and she said they were out of the panini toppings and told her she would be getting croutons instead. Didn't even ask if that was okay. We left right when we got our food because the whole vibe was bad. Once we got to eat my salsa was missing, as well as my friends croutons and chicken that she paid extra for. Overall a bad experience and it sucks because the food is decent and I would rather support a small local business instead, but the customer service was awful. read more

Ordered a Greek salad and a piece of naan. The naan wasn't fully cooked just a flat blackened dough and the salad didn't have the kalamata olives and the dressing was weirdly sweet. read more

I hate to be critical about a small business ... but this is an exception. 91 degrees at 8:30 Am. The setting is cluttered and I un-inviting. We only wanted coffee but the young lady did not know how to take our order and never asked about size or options. No other customers present but it took several clarifications from them about our order and then they gave us cream instead of the almond milk we requested. Uhhhh 14 min later we got our coffee. Instead of sleeves for our very small coffee (we wanted medium) we were given a napkin. Coffee ... bitter, overall fair and unremarkable. With certainty will NOT go back. read more

I'm only giving a star because I can't give no stars. Yesterday was my first time ordering just a coffee and I'm a local. I met up with a friend here because I wanted to try it out. Not the cleanest or organized coffee shop I've been to. Upon entering I read from a paper menu to see what types of coffee they had. The cashier never greeted me and just stared at me awkwardly until I said hello/I'd like to order. I asked for a simple coffee and if they had a medium size cup, because I didn't see any sizes. The chalkboard menu was hard to read. The cashier replied, "this isn't Starbucks, do I look like a Starbucks cashier?" I wanted to say something smarty but I overlooked it while waiting for my friend. I was like okay I'll order a vanilla latte iced. The cashier just stared and I said "how much?" He then gets out of his blank stare, and responds. Later, he hands me my coffee at my seat which was the only nice thing. He just stared at me for ten seconds. To get him to look away, and ask for a straw. At this point I had enough of his service, and walked up to get the straw from him. The coffee would of been great, but that killed my mood/experience. I've never experienced customer service in Yerington as rude as this. If you want the experience of a coffee shop, I suggest going elsewhere. read more
