5/22/22 update It was prom night and even though there were lots of empty tables the wait for two people was 20 minutes. Instead we opted for the bar and are very happy for that decision. Our bartender/server, marisha was awesome. We both opted for the small filet with homemade mashed potatoes and veggies. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. Going to have to put this one on our rotation.

The food tasted okay, but we got ignored at first. We were seated instantly (we were after the dinner rush), but the hostess did not communicate to the server (who ended up being off work when we were seated). After waiting a while, we went to the bar to eat. The bartender was great and friendly. I ordered the boomarita (4 different flavored small margaritas) and it was tasty, but had hardly any alcohol. I also ordered the Victoria filet with sweet potato and creamed spinach. The 6 oz steak and very small potato was a good portion to not overfill me. I feel l this was all what I expected coming here. Not fantastic, but a decent steak meal for a chain restaurant.

First Outback in severeal years! My first impression was that this establishment was more high end than all other Outbacks i have been. For starters there was several open parking spots for a Monday night and even though there are several more for food delivery, physically going to a reataurtant is always fun. We were received by our waitress named Tay (spelling). She was by far the nicest, sweetest, and caring attendant ever; she came by and ensured we were taken care of and our food was at our expectation. Coming to outback a blooming onion is a must! and it sure did not disappoint. I got the steak sandwich, the wife got the salad, and the baby got a chicken w fruit bowl. All was absolutely delicious. The forst impression we got from this place as we came in did not disappoint, it was on par with the food served, the ambiance was great and will decinitely become one of our new go to places. Thanks! and Thanks Tay!!!!

I was really initially put off by how dirty the place was when I was shown to my table. The seats were not wiped clean, floor was sticky and had food under it, and the table plastic top was cracking and breaking. Once the waitress came by things were starting to look better. She was polite and attentive. The food came out on time and hot. Everything was tasty and cooked perfectly as asked. The lamb was especially good and were nice cuts. The steak was delicious, as were the appetizers and salads. Since they just remodeled the place, I expected it to be cleaner and tearing apart in the inside. If they fix this I will give more stars.

For a chain it's not bad, I've had a better steak at the house when I'm not lazy not to cook it. Way to suck me in C. Dundee!! ;)

Walk in and eat at the bar. The bar usually has enough room for 2 with no wait. Service at this particular Outback is great.

The steaks were were all hit or miss. I ordered medium rare and it came out well done on outside and rare inside, like they took the steak and put an iron press on it to hurry the cooking. The medium steak came put MR and the other MR steak came out medium. The good thing about it though is they were still juicy. The mushroom topping was very salty which made the steak salty tasting. The fries, rice, and sweet potatoes were very good. Sweet potatoes were a bit small but not too bad. The salads were definitely small to me. Wish they had a bit more on the plate. If you have heart problems I wouldn't recommend eating here due to the amount of salt in everything, especially any type of vegetable. Wish the steaks were cooked how we asked but overall experience was good.

The catfish was flaky, but very thin filets. There was more breading, very heavy handed, making the catfish filets seem bountiful. I attempted to remove the breading to possibly consume a bit of protein. Nope, didn't work. No leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I'm sitting here, with 3.5 pieces of catfish, and still hungry. I would not feed this catfish, to a starving, stray cat. I will not be ordering again. Their side sauce was a welcome change from the usual tarter sauce, and tasted really good. I love fresh lemon and it was a narrow wedge, offered for 4 catfish filets. Old, without a drop of lemon juice, to be had. Bummer. The steak fries were so overcooked, and a dark brown, tasting charcoal like. Burned to a crisp with a couple of fresh, lightly tinted, the way steak fries should look, and taste. Not edible. Old, and fried again, who know? Those too, will go into the dumpster. The icing on the cake is the Unsweetened iced tea, having no label, on the plastic jug, and it was sugar sweet. Down the drain with the sweetened tea that should have been labeled, and unsweetened. Bravo for the salad, if hungry for a house salad. See ya, Texas Roadhouse. We will not be returning. $40.00 down the drain with the sweetened iced tea.

Stopped in on a Tuesday night; it's our first visit. The place was relatively quiet and there were…read morenot many visitors. It's a very clean establishment and the staff that greeted us were professional and very friendly. We perused the menu and decided on Thai chili mussels and cheesesteak egg rolls for apps, water and a fig martini for our drinks. The egg rolls came with marinara dipping sauce which was different. Both appetizers were good but lacked in flavor. They were both missing an umami flavor that would have elevated them. The eggs rolls specifically could have benefited from more cheese, a better quality of steak (the menu described it as having rib eye but it was very chewy..I know good ribeye has a nice fat cap but this wasn't that), and salt. The mussels had the spice from the red curry paste but again was missing salt. Sea salt or even soy sauce being added would have elevated that dish. It could have also benefited from some fresh garlic and a fresh herb like Thai basil. To note my martini was very sweet. It was comprised of fig vodka which intrigued me but it just wasn't for me. Our mains were the double crab cake dinner and I ordered a Caesar salad with cajun salmon. My salad was executed okay but with one exception: the dressing. I don't know what it was but it was definitely not a classic Caesar dressing. If you love a good Caesar salad you know the dressing is a crucial element to that salad and as much as I was looking forward to this dish, it failed. The salmon was cooked perfectly, there were shards of parm and not shreds which was a welcome addition and the romaine lettuce fell a bit short as well as it wasn't crisp. Overall I finished the salmon but not all of the remainder of the salad. It was just ok but the salmon definitely saved it. My husband had the crab cake dinner and he enjoyed it very much. There was not much filler in them and they were made with lump crab meat..I venture to say maybe even jumbo lump. I tasted them; they were seasoned very well. The dinner came with fingerling potatoes and coleslaw. I didn't get to taste the potatoes because my husband devoured those..so I guess they were good. I had a bit of the coleslaw and it was dressed well and flavorful; the celery seed in it was pronounced and it wasn't overly dressed in sauce which was good; the cabbage and other vegetables were able to retain a nice crunch. All in all we agreed although some things about our meal could be improved, we would certainly come back. There was a nice vibe in there, that allowed for a great laid back early week date night.

They roast their own coffee! Wow! Yum!…read more On a weekend morning (Jun 2026), we were in the vicinity of Solomons MD, and friends said that Bugeye Grill roasts their own coffee. That got our attention! We stopped in at this bright clean restaurant on a late weekend morning, (weekdays they open at 5pm). The French-press coffee was a tasty fragrant medium Brazilian blend. The flavor was well balanced, and it was a good smooth non-acidic coffee We found it to be a creamier fragrant brew, not a darker roasty flavor. It had a lightly malty sweetness and nuttiness, characteristic of its blend of Brazilian arabica, robusta, and hybrid beans. They have different blends from time to time. They really are a full-menu restaurant terrific views of Back Creek, and a midscale-classy vibe. They focus on seafood and steaks and lobster! We saw sandwiches around $20. This time, we came for the coffee. It was luscious!

The restaurant had a nice variety of dishes and specialty cocktails...I think that I was more interested in the latter. ;) Since I have not visited Solomons, MD before, I cannot comment if the prices are comparable to other places in the area. However, most of the entrees were in the $25 and up range. I thought my fish and chips (I forget the actual name of the dish) were fine, and my spouse really enjoyed the crab cake sandwich. Although I thought the portion sizes for the sandwiches and fries were fine, the serving size of the mussels seemed a bit small. However, this could have been an optical illusion because the serving bowl for the mussels was HUGE, so the amount of mussels could have appeared to be smaller than what it was. I thought the outdoor patio was great especially with a view of the water and folks going about their business. However, some may not like the setup because you are right on the main street, which can be a bit noisy especially if a lot of bikers are cruising up and down the strip. Parking was a bit of a struggle (not the fault of the restaurant). During our visit, all of the public parking lots were full. However, we visited on Mother's Day weekend so maybe there were more folks (including us ) in the area than normal. I'll admit that since this was my first time visiting the area that I'm not too familiar about the ebb and flow of parking. Overall, our server (who reminded me a bit of a young Jodie Foster) was amazing. One thing that I really appreciated was her telling us about a potential delay for the food due to a large party. Although no one wants to hear that after ordering food, I think it's nice and considerate when a server provides a heads-up so diners can adjust accordingly.
