There has been a large decline in the quality of service and the food. We went in at 5 pm on a Friday night after calling ahead. When we arrived we were told it would be a 30-45 minute wait. They are really good if you dine in, but take out is always horrible. My wife and I tried ordering out a few time and will never do it again. Zero stars, at least the food didn't make us sick. That was left up to servers and management. I have lived in 6 countries on four continents and have never experienced a restaurant as bad as this one. It was so bad it made my wife cry. Especially when they attempted to explain away lies and horrible service by telling us that the server had experianced the death of a close friend that day. Now that's a unique excuse for why it took 15 minutes to get a beer. The bar had 2 customers. The manager told us that he would attend to our order himself, good news, except when the wrong entries showed up poorly cooked and before the starters and the salad. At least they only made us pay for the beers. I will never return to this place. Gets a star because Yelp won't let me post unless I give it one star. read more

Ordered a steak salad with blue cheese dressing, i got a vinaigrette, I sent it back and requested to go box for the repaired salad, as I had already been there so long. Today was the first time that I ever ate frozen lettuce, sure was crispy till it thawed, then it was just a $13.95 box of compost. Dressing was good, steak was tasty but very chewy. I have no idea what John E. is talking about. the only thing bad about the Outback in Farmington is that the food is so good, that there is a wait. I live almost 60 miles away and this is the place where I take my wife for special evenings. We just call ahead; they don't officially take reservations, but they take "Call Ahead Seating" which is essentially the same. It cuts our wait time by half, which is about 15 minutes total. The food has been excellent for years. I really enjoy fish and steak, so this is the place that we choose. The service is great, booze, everything. Seems like they have 50 people working there. When were in Farmington for shopping, we call in for somem take-out. They have a door on the side for pickup. Love it. read more

Every time we go there and eat in the dining area it's a disaster. The tandem servers just doesn't work. You order or ask one of them for something and wait forever. Even the staff doesn't like it. We have been told this by more than one server. However all is not lost here. If you want great service, sit at the bar. Everyone of them call you by name even if you don't go there allot. Especially Mike, he goes by Sticker. Also Donut is very good, don't know her real name. We will never sit in the dining area again. We have tried about 6 times to let them "Wow" us, to no avail. Our soup and salad took over 30 minutes to come out after our appetizer. The soup burned my tongue worse than it has ever been burned. Service took forever during lunch & the food was really bad. My soup tasted like an entire garlic clove & freezer burn. Will not be returning unfortunately. We would rather drive an hour to Durango to dine. read more

Just ok! It's been about 4 years since we've eaten here. Something was "off" for us during our experience - I know it sounds weird - but we think part of it may have been that no music was on so we were subjected to hearing servers yelling "water to table 84"... And clanking and yelling from the kitchen. I never realized how much music drowns that out. The service was good enough - she wasn't overly excited about life but got us everything we needed so I can't complain. The food tasted more processed than I remember. I really did like the spinach & artichoke appetizer and Caesar salad. The potato soup my Husband had was waaaaaay salty. My Mahi fish was overcooked and rubbery but had good flavor (of what I ate). The veggies I had were great! My Husband enjoyed his steak & lobster! I hoped for a better experience overall but unfortunately things just didn't work out that way. They seemed really busy so it seems like they are doing something right for others. read more

Took my wife and daughter to dinner and ordered 2 steak dinners and the mac and cheese. I have to say that this place is the best place to get steak! Our waitress was awesome! I have eaten here twice in the past week and not impressed. The steak I ordered on the first visit was overcooked and the sides were Luke warm. Service was very spotty. The second visit the food was mediocre and the service was good at first. I was watching the Wisconsin/Ohio State game on the main bar TV but then someone changed the channel to the Miami/Clemson game. I asked the bartender why the station was changed and she asked me if I was watching the other game. I told her that I was so she said she would find out what happened. She returned to tell me that the guy at the end of the bar changed it to the game he wanted. They let patrons change the channels apparently. Come to find out he had just got there and was a local regular. She ignored me for the next 20 minutes (that's how long it took for me to get her attention so I could pay my bill). My advice is that if you are not a local, then don't expect them to cater to you no matter how much you spend. I come to this city for weeks at a time for work and can guarantee that I will not come back to this Outback Steakhouse again! read more

Was here over a year ago and had horrible service and the food took forever! always was scared to come Back... But so happy we gave them a second chance server was very nice and attentive!! This place has gone steadily downhill in the last few years. The service is fine, but the food quality isn't what it used to be. Also, this is a well known place that people go to drink so be careful when you leave that you are ok to drive. read more

It is one of the better places in Farmington to eat (which let's you know how bad food in Farmington is); but it is a chain with typical chain food and service. It is slightly less good than other Outback's I've been in. I think that's due to the ability to get quality staff. read more
