My most recent experience annoyed me. I hadn't been here in quite a while. We sat down and were presented menus. I ended up ordering a stead and then ordered a side salad. My husband ended up getting chicken and a side salad. It was about 3/4 of the way through the meal that I see our server talking about a $14.99 multi-course promotion, and then handed special menus to them. Umm... what? Is there a reason we weren't offered that? I'm not confrontational, so I didn't mention it. But also haven't been back there since then. And probably won't go back for a good long while. We come here when we want to have a family dinner with the kids. I seriously love this place. The ambiance is very welcoming and the warm lighting is so cozy. This restaurant almost feels like home. The vibes are very mellow. The service is always so friendly and kind. My husband said the beer is good. The food is delicious. I met a friend here for lunch recently. We arrived around 12:45pm and the restaurant was pretty busy. We opted to sit in the bar area since there were no booths available in the main dining area. This area has seating at the bar and some two seat booths around the perimeter. The bartender, who was also our main server, greeted us promptly and a loaf of their complementary wheat bread arrived at our table shortly thereafter. We both ordered the Victoria's 9 oz Filet Mignon ($39.99). The 6 oz size of the steak is $33.99, so it is a no-brainer to get the extra 3 oz for only $6 more. This is a great deal for a 9 oz filet mignon. I ordered a house salad with blue cheese dressing and veggies for my sides. PRO TIP: My friend lives nearby and has dined here quite a few times. He is on the carnivore diet and before we ordered he chuckled "too bad I can't get bacon for a side" to which I replied "why not ask?". The server checked with the kitchen and lo and behold, they brought him six slices of bacon for his two sides. I'm sure that will be his standard side order from now on. I understand they are pretty busy around lunch time, but it was 30 minutes before our steaks finally came out. I always order filet mignon cooked "medium rare +" and when I cut into it, the center was rare. I waited for five minutes for a server to stop by to see if everything was ok, but I ended up having to go find a server to have the kitchen cook it more. Then it took almost fifteen minutes for my steak to come back, and in the meantime my friend had already finished eating. An improperly cooked steak should be expedited. When my steak finally returned to the table, it was tender and flavorful. It's always a treat to enjoy 9 oz versus the standard 5 oz or 6 oz. The broccoli was ok. In hindsight, I should have put a little salt or butter on it. My house salad was fresh and included tomato, cucumber, onion, cheese, and croutons. The blue cheese dressing had good flavor. I hadn't seen my friend in quite a while, and we ended up chatting for almost two and a half hours. After we finished eating, it seems like our service basically ended as our drinks were only refilled once in all that time. Service in general seemed a little lacking on this occasion, especially when it came to my steak. My final rating is 3.5 stars with a gracious upgrade to 4 stars. It's been years since my last visit to Outback Steakhouse and I was curious about the quality of their food now. We dined on a Friday afternoon and it felt oddly empty, but we weren't deterred; crowded restaurants are the worst anyway! THE FOOD. - Bread (Complimentary). Warm brown bread; slightly sweet with an oat-like flavor. The bread checks out! - Bloomin' Onion. Golden crispy batter was well-seasoned with soft, tender onion layers inside. I thought the creamy thousand island-like dipping sauce complemented the fried onions well. Overall, still a great appetizer to order for the table! - Blue Cheese Wedge Salad. Fresh and generously coated in thick, blue cheese dressing with balsamic vinaigrette drizzled on top. It was everything I'd expect from a wedge salad. - The Outback Burger. Classic burger with a juicy patty. - Outback Center-Cut Sirloin. I asked for the steak to be cooked to medium and not only did it arrive a bit too dry, but it was also under-seasoned. So that part was disappointing. However, the loaded baked potato was perfectly soft with all the fixin's on top. THE DRINKS. - Jameson Cream Soda. It was like a fizzy vanilla cream soda with a whiskey kick. Recommending trying this out! - Smoked Cinnamon Pecan Old Fashioned. Smooth, slightly sweet, with a warm slice and a hint of smokiness. It was served with a glass lid that locked in the aroma - definitely worth trying out too! THE PARKING. Plenty of free surface lot parking right by the restaurant. No issues finding an open spot. THE VERDICT. While the appetizers and drinks impressed, the steak fell short. I'm hoping this was a fluke because everything else was great! My boyfriend and I LOVE coming to Outback! The service here is always amazing and we always feel so welcome. We had a very friendly server and were so excited to order the gingerbread cola. It came with the cutest Koala bear straw hugger. Once we got our drink, we were obsessed! They were so cute and very tasty. We ordered steak, potatoes, and chili. The chili tasted so good and it stayed even better with the bread. The steak is always so amazing here and has great protein. Don't even get me started on the baked potato. Excellent service and conversation with Mary and Garrett on our two occasions over the past couple weeks. The Aussie Aussie Aussie deal is well worth the 20+ minute drive. Soup or salad, a choice of three entrees and dessert for $14.99. A unique feature at the location is that the noise level is such that you can actually carry on a conversation without having to speak up. Is the place Ruth Chris, no, but the price point is on point and the sirloin is solid. You get more than what you pay for here with their three course Aussie meal. A steak, appetizer, side, and cheesecake is an amazing deal for just over $20. The seasoning flavor for the steak was great also. The biggest downside was the potato soup just tasted like salt and the sweet tea is bland. Service was great! Very friendly and inclusive. Hubby decided to try their hamburger this time instead of the steak. He thought it was good. He also liked the baked potato soup. And of course, he enjoyed the cheesecake with raspberry sauce for dessert. I had a bite of the cheesecake but it was too sweet for me, especially the sauce. I went with the baby back ribs since last time I had the steak a couple of months ago, it was not good. The ribs were lean and tender but not very meaty. My wedge salad came with hardly any blue cheese on it. I had to ask the waiter to bring me some. I was so full so took the cheesecake to go. I'm sure hubby will enjoy it. Electronic device at every table that can be used to pay for your check and gaming. WARNING: the games charge a $2.99 fee and shows up on your check. You get asked 3x whether you approve the charge but obviously kids don't know and they just keep clicking and you find out later. Staff will not deduct the charges as they claim you definitely were playing with it. Complimentary bread and butter- delicious and warm. Blooming onion a bit too spicy for kids. Also very salty. Didn't love it. Wouldn't order it again. The prime rib was very good. Tender, juicy, red and bloody just the way I like it. Sirloin is pretty ok, ordered it as a combo with lobster. Salad was basic diner style with lettuce, lots of creamy dressing, tomatoes and croutons. Beer choices are good. Mac and cheese was ok only, very heavy but not creamy. Fries are super long, good. You can't print out receipt so you have to share either a phone number or email to get a copy- which is unfavorable since not everyone wants to share personal information. Not sure who to blame, Outback Steakhouse or Door Dash... but then Outback is the one who contracts with Door Dash, so... No utensils were included, even though I was obviously staying at a hotel. The "Slow Roasted Prime Rib" was cold and unappetizing (quite bit of fat and gristle). I think mainly it was the fact that it was stone cold made it unappealing. The "Homestyle Mashed Potatoes" were at least mildly warm, though a bit meh. The "Fresh Steamed Seasonal Veggies" (yes, plural) was only broccoli, but at least it was warm(ish). Right away we knew this place was gonna slap. Our usual spot is packed, dirty and has limited parking. Scored front row parking at the end of the handicap. We were greeted by the best hosted, Darian. She was so friendly, welcoming and on top of everything. We got a clean booth, and our menus immediately. Even the menus were clean! I feel like this is pretty rare for any restaurant usually these hostesses are too fast paced and more intense when welcoming guests. Darian really made our experience so much better. Our waitress (her name escapes us she's got blonde braids) was so sweet, quick and consistent in checking in on us. Never did we have to wait for refills. Her customer service was spectacular- again pretty rare nowadays! Our food came super quick! Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Literally no complaints about this Outback. Our steaks are never cooked to our specifications anymore (how hard is it to cook a steak to medium?) and our sides are either undercooked or overcooked as well. We ordered the 9 OZ Sirlon steak and Coconut shrimp combo and we were very pleased with how the food tasted, how fast and how pleasant the service was. Our main server, Garrett was responsive and efficient. The entrees came with a side salad as well - he got caesar and I got the chopped pecan. My salad was bit too overdressed, but overall, it was alright. We ate so much of the bloomin onion, salad and bread, that we were pretty full by the time our entrees came out. We packed up most of our meal to take home as second dinners. Well, we were halfway home and realized we forgot to take our packed leftovers. We immediately called the restaurant and told them we just left the restaurant less than 5 minutes ago. They told us everything was thrown away... We were flabbergasted and gutted to hear that it was immediately trashed. I was able to connect with the manager and they said it was set aside to be tossed, but that it wasn't in fact in the trash. They were able to retrieve the food and she added some bread for the miscommunication. Note to self: Remember to take the leftovers home before leaving. Decided to give it a try. Got the bloomin onion and boy was that delicious. I'm not huge on fried foods but the flavor was well done on this thing. Got the lunch special 5oz steaks and had a side salad. Side Cesar was delicious. Very tasty dressing. The small steak was well prepared with flavor and perfect crispy outside with a perfect doneness inside. All round good flavor. Got pretty busy at Lunch time so I won't dock them for the service. I have visited this location a few times in the past, and it was always decent, but I recently took a larger party for a night out with friends. It was absolutely terrible!!!! My friend and I ordered ribeye (expensive), and they actually tried to pass of a chuck steak as a ribeye to me. It was absolutely atrocious!! (and undercooked) And my side of sweet potato looked like it was cooked at least the day before, if not more. They appear to be playing games with their food, an us, as customers. They comp'd us for the shit show they provided, but be aware of this location. UPDATE: As you can see, their response from Marketing is a bit Autocratic. They don't care! The Management and chefs will continue to not listen and will probably try to scam all of us. It was very obvious that Management only cares when you complain enough. So sad. My friends and I haven't been to outback in a very long time. We came for the koala plushie and we don't plan on coming back. We ordered the gingerbread drinks that were supposed to come with the koalas but they had ran out. It's understandable that they would run out but our waitress didn't tell us until after and it was the only reason why we ordered the drinks. The gingerbread drinks were not good so we ordered a Rita instead and that was straight alcohol. The food was mediocre. Our waitress closed out so she asked us to pay but said we could stay for as long as we wanted and still order dessert if we wanted. We sat for an hour and a half without someone checking in on us before we left. This place didn't match the vibes I was hoping for. read more

Awesome first experience at our local Outback. Given some of the mediocre reviews on this site, we were initially unsure about heading here for a night out. Any doubts quickly vanished as soon as we entered. We were immediately seated and warmly greeted. Our server, Sage, was top notch and impeccable. He checked to be sure that our food came out right (the expediter who brought it failed to note that my daughter requested Thousand Island dressing and brought it with Ranch instead. I couldn't help but laugh out loud and somewhat jokingly said, "Oh, I thought you wanted a GOOD steak, but hey, it's your call." Neither of us was particularly hungry, and I didn't have high expectations for this overpriced, middle-of-the-road, Three Star location. We started with the Bloomin' Onion and shared a 22oz bone-in ribeye with a rack of BBQ pork ribs. To sum it up, the meal was as expected, "meh." I was glad I ordered the Fully Loaded Bloody Mary--not that it was great, but it did have alcohol, which helped take the edge off the mediocre food. Outback could use a serious revamp--maybe they should be taken out back and beaten with a cookbook. Today, on Veterans Day, Michael went above and beyond. Instead of just offering a discount, he provided veterans with a full three-course lunch or dinner. The service was outstanding -- attentive, friendly, and genuine. The bartender even brought my glass of wine to the table and shared a few good laughs. Michael came out from the kitchen several times to chat about family and life, and even brought me the mushrooms I ordered (non-magic ones, of course!). I had the veterans' special: a 6 oz. rare steak, Caesar salad, and a loaded baked potato -- everything was cooked to perfection. The steak was perfect, truly memorable. I also met a fellow service member, a Marine, who was dining with two friends. I thanked him for his service and covered their round of beers -- it felt great to pay it forward after such a generous meal from Michael and the Outback team. Outback is your average chain restaurant, but there's nothing wrong with chain restaurants. I actually appreciate their consistency. If you haven't had the blooming onion, this alone is one good reason to go. The onion is sweet, the batter is perfectly seasoned & fried, the dip sauce is divine! I try not too eat too much gluten, but I will break my gluten diet for a bite or two of the blooming onion. Their food is ok, nothing over the top good, but decent enough to have you coming back every now & then. I ordered the aussie meal, which was a really good deal. It included a starter, an entree, and dessert for as low as $14.99. My meal deal included a Cesar salad that needed a better Cesar dressing, my entree was shrimp & mashed potatoes, my dessert was a gluten free brownie. The brownie was sooooo worth it. The service was good, our waiter was super attentive and kind. The ambiance was great, it was like half bar with sports on their TVs and also a family dining.
