    Greek gyro plate

Establishment is relaxed with great views in the outdoor area. Staff was relaxed and courteous. To come here you must either be a resident of the Laguna Woods Villages or their guest. I ordered: 1. Greek gyro plate: tasty with a large portion TLDR: Fair service, good food, good establishment, great value. Would recommend!

Our family friends who live in Laguna Woods, invited my wife and me for lunch at the golf course restaurant near their home. Dining outside, I found the conversation/ambience/environment to be great and the food holding its own. The entrance to the golf course/clubhouse is secured and requires a resident to call in or be with you. The restaurant has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so decided to eat outside even though it was a bit chilly and I had intentionally left my jacket at home. It's a diner type menu, with dishes that can be prepared using mass produced shelf-stable ingredients procured from food service companies. I've found that the best instances of this can often be found in the frozen section of Costco. It can be quite satisfying when prepared with care and served with grace; can be well valued...especially if one is there for the company and environment, not so much for the food. The four of ordered the following, and because the people at the table knew me very well, they offered food from their plates so I could sample. Fish and Chips ($15.99) - three pieces of cod, cole slaw, and battered fries. Everything had been well prepared, deep fried, and served hot. Grilled Salmon ($18.99) - a large salmon steak, expertly grilled. Vegetables were varied. Greek Gyro Plate ($15.99) - 6 slices of a beef/lamb, pita bread triangles, with battered fries, and tsazki sauce. It came with a mixed green salad. Service was great throughout, constantly checking on us and keeping our beverages refilled. It's very clear that the various parts of this establishment are well run. After a lot of rain, we have been on a bit of an extended sunshine streak since the new year. So eating outside on a covered terrace with overhead heaters, with great friends, ended up being a memorable experience. Love it when the recalled memory while writing a review actually bumps up the rating a bit.

19 Restaurant & Lounge is the clubhouse of Laguna Woods golf course, aka the 19th hole. It is open to Laguna Woods Village residents and invited guests. Guests can enter through Gate 12 on Moulton Pkwy. LWV has tightened its security measures for non-resident guests since Covid. The resident host is now required to notify the gatekeeper of invited guests before they are allowed to get through. Similar to other golf course clubhouses its Lunch menu is limited. My favorite is fish & chips. Its burger is pretty tasty too. But the real reason I enjoy coming to here is its view. I can usually get a table on the outdoor balcony to have a good view of the mountains and the course. A privilege of residents is to reserve its clubrooms for private parties. For our party today, 19 R&L provided a podium and an audio system for our use. Its server also came by during lunch to serve our meals. We had a pleasant time today

First time visiting this restaurant, and we were greeted as soon as we arrived. We sat on the porch which had a beautiful view overlooking the San Andres Mountains. I ordered the Rueben which was pretty good and the fries were excellent. Of course we had to have champagne and we were very pleased with the taste and price. You need to stop at the gate entrance to get in the private club.

Came here for a delicious breakfast and a gorgeous view! You can see the golf course as well as the mountains in the background. Probably one of the best views in the area. The outdoor covered seating area is really nice. We ordered the omelets, which were a generous size with hashbrowns and 2 pieces of toast. I also asked for jam and they brought out a whole selection. The food was tasty. Both the Denver and the Philly Steak omelets were good, although the Philly Steak was more like actual steak slices than philly steak. I almost wonder if the prices are subsidized, breakfast is just $12-13. The biggest downside is that the service is super slow! Plus, they open kinda late for breakfast, it should be earlier for seniors.

Our Christmas dinner was lovely'! Lobster was tender and filet was cooked just right , Brussel sprouts roasted in some kind of balsamic tasted heavenly, the mash potatoes was not the best but we enjoyed the rib eye and desserts, enjoyable meal!

Went two weeks ago on a Sunday. Food and service were awful. No one refilled drinks the entire meal.. totally disinterested. My friend ordered Pot Roast which was tough and flavorless, garlic bread wasn't even toasted. I ordered fish and chips.. the fish was uncooked so I sent it back . The second order consisted of a burned piece and more uncooked fish. I gave up on that and ordered a burger instead , ( medium rare) the meat was RAW in several places. The manager told me " it's fine to eat" and other places serve uncooked meat! Maybe he thought it was Steak Tartare! Poor attitude, no effort to take responsibility . Last time for us!

Waited too long for service. Went to Snooty Fox instead. Looks like they're short-staffed. Perhaps a management issue.

This place is located inside a gorgeous shopping center in Irvine…read more It's located inside, Bacchus Bar and Bistro. Which, was extremely crowded. They have tons of parking in this shopping center. They share it with TONS of other places. One of my BFFs saw this on an Instagram video and wanted to check it out. *They do take reservations When we came in we checked in with one of the waitresses. She said she would seat us in a minute. To be honest, she did forget about us. A waiter walked up to us and asked us what was going on (we were standing there for around 7 - 10 minutes) and we told him we had a reservation for the speakeasy. He immediately apologized and sat us. This camp themed speakeasy has a couple booths. It's on the smaller sides. Which, speakeasy's are usually small to begin with. I did not get the waitresses name, my friend and I were busy catching up. The waitress was nice, but not attentive. I will say service was a 2/5. However, the actual restaurant, cozy pine is located in, was packed because of the World Cup being on TV. So I definitely was not going to complain The food Our food order did come out extremely FAST. Faster than our drink orders. -the campfire guacamole -BBQ shoestring fries (had bbq seasoning all over them so it tasted like a BBQ potato chip) -Glamping plate (charcuterie board) -steak tacos (one without onion and cilantro -churro affogato Again, the food was VERY fast!! And to be honest it wasn't that bad. I'll say, speakeasy's usually shine in the drink department vs food. Drinks -Lycheed and Loaded Ketel One, lychee liqueur, lemon, elderflower. This was extremely delicious! If you don't like to taste your alcohol? Go with this. It was really refreshing. Hand this to me at a spa and I'd be the happiest gal in the world -Camp Anawanna $17 Graham cracker-infused bourbon, licor 43, chocolate, torched marshmallow (the waitress catches the marshmallow on fire at the table) This one was stronger and I didn't think it was overly sweet despite the ingredients I think they had a good selection, especially for a small speakeasy. I have been to better, so I don't think I'd return. Especially since the service was not that great. We still had a good time and recommend for every speakeasy lovers list.

The hostess asked…read moreif we made a reservation before hand which we had not but would be able to seat us in like 15-20mins. We sat at the bar inside for the restaurant but there was a smaller enclosed area which was the speakeasy. My coworker ordered a margarita from the bar. It was mainly ice and the alcohol content was lacking in his opinion. Once there was a table available we were brought inside a cabin themed area. We ordered from the menu: Bug Juice, Devils Postpile and non alcoholic Black Cherry Bomb. The wait for the drinks was around 15-20mins and were prepared by what we believed was the same bar for the restaurant outside. The only difference was the drinks were made themed for the speakeasy. Overall the service was ok. The drinks and dessert were average. My coworkers did feel that their drinks were more on the sweeter side than just tasting much of the alcohol. A cute concept idea but did feel like the overall experience was alittle lacking with food and drinks. Parking wasn't a problem it's in a plaza with other restaurants and shops.

From start to finish, the dining was excellent. I had the Pearodox cocktail which was delicious. We ordered the Baked Boursin cheese dip as our appetizer, which we couldn't get enough of. My only wish was that we got more of the baguette to scoop up the rest of that delicious dip. Finally, I had the chicken tacos for my entree. For the most part, you can't mess up a taco. But these tacos were better than good, they were packed with flavor from the corn tortilla to the well-seasoned chicken and melted cheese. More importantly though was the service; our waiter was friendly and brought out our food and drinks promptly. Hive and Honey gets tens across the board from me.
