19 Restaurant & Lounge is the clubhouse of Laguna Woods golf course, aka the 19th hole. It is open to Laguna Woods Village residents and invited guests. Guests can enter through Gate 12 on Moulton Pkwy. LWV has tightened its security measures for non-resident guests since Covid. The resident host is now required to notify the gatekeeper of invited guests before they are allowed to get through. Similar to other golf course clubhouses its Lunch menu is limited. My favorite is fish & chips. Its burger is pretty tasty too. But the real reason I enjoy coming to here is its view. I can usually get a table on the outdoor balcony to have a good view of the mountains and the course. A privilege of residents is to reserve its clubrooms for private parties. For our party today, 19 R&L provided a podium and an audio system for our use. Its server also came by during lunch to serve our meals. We had a pleasant time today

First time visiting this restaurant, and we were greeted as soon as we arrived. We sat on the porch which had a beautiful view overlooking the San Andres Mountains. I ordered the Rueben which was pretty good and the fries were excellent. Of course we had to have champagne and we were very pleased with the taste and price. You need to stop at the gate entrance to get in the private club.

We came in for an early dinner before the Dodgers first home World Series game. The patio dining area was about half full, found a great table with a fantastic view of the golf course. We were greeted by our friendly waiter informed about the specials. Patio area is very comfortable always clean. Our friend ordered fish and chips I ordered the fried chicken special, my wife decided on Chicken Elizabeth. Our drinks were brought out promptly. Dinners soon followed. The fish and chip were very impressive 3 large filets lightly battered coleslaw and fries, Peter said they might be best he ever had. Chicken Elizabeth was a full plate, 4 plump Scrimp, artichoke hearts, chicken breast all on a generous serving of mashed potatoes Asparagus was the side. My wife's favorite didn't disappoint My fried chicken special was very disappointing, only one piece, a bone in breast that was shockingly small and over fried with thick breading my fries and Cole slaw were fine. Our waiter was attentive he did a great job I didn't complain I just learned never to try their fried chicken again. We'll make it home in time for first pitch. Go Dodgers

Came here for a delicious breakfast and a gorgeous view! You can see the golf course as well as the mountains in the background. Probably one of the best views in the area. The outdoor covered seating area is really nice. We ordered the omelets, which were a generous size with hashbrowns and 2 pieces of toast. I also asked for jam and they brought out a whole selection. The food was tasty. Both the Denver and the Philly Steak omelets were good, although the Philly Steak was more like actual steak slices than philly steak. I almost wonder if the prices are subsidized, breakfast is just $12-13. The biggest downside is that the service is super slow! Plus, they open kinda late for breakfast, it should be earlier for seniors.

Our Christmas dinner was lovely'! Lobster was tender and filet was cooked just right , Brussel sprouts roasted in some kind of balsamic tasted heavenly, the mash potatoes was not the best but we enjoyed the rib eye and desserts, enjoyable meal!

Went two weeks ago on a Sunday. Food and service were awful. No one refilled drinks the entire meal.. totally disinterested. My friend ordered Pot Roast which was tough and flavorless, garlic bread wasn't even toasted. I ordered fish and chips.. the fish was uncooked so I sent it back . The second order consisted of a burned piece and more uncooked fish. I gave up on that and ordered a burger instead , ( medium rare) the meat was RAW in several places. The manager told me " it's fine to eat" and other places serve uncooked meat! Maybe he thought it was Steak Tartare! Poor attitude, no effort to take responsibility . Last time for us!

    Fish and chips good

Waited too long for service. Went to Snooty Fox instead. Looks like they're short-staffed. Perhaps a management issue.

From the moment you walk in, it's giving cozy campsite vibes but elevated -- like if camping had good lighting, great cocktails, and zero bugs. We had such a fun night here. The ambiance alone makes it feel like a whole experience, not just drinks. We tried a few of their specialty cocktails, all super well done, but the real highlight was our server John. He was amazing -- attentive, fun, and clearly knows his drinks. At one point he made us an off-menu cocktail that was STRONG (in the best way) and honestly one of my favorites of the night. And the attention to detail?? He even let me borrow his hat for photos so I could fully commit to the camping aesthetic 10/10 for the vibes. Overall: such a cute, unique spot for a night out. Perfect for something a little different, a little playful, and definitely memorable. Would absolutely come back -- as long as it's this kind of camping.

Overall, the food, drinks, and atmosphere were great, but unfortunately the hostess experience kept it from being a full 5-star night. I had a 7:30 reservation and arrived at 7:35, but waited nearly 10 minutes before being acknowledged. The hostess was quite rude and told me we had lost our table because we were "late," even though I had been standing there waiting to be helped. She eventually seated us at a dirty table and the overall interaction felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. Thankfully, our server Omar completely turned the night around -- he was kind, attentive, and very helpful. The manager Dave was also amazing and made sure we were taken care of. The food and drinks were excellent. The cocktails were delicious, the hummus with warm pita was fantastic (definitely ask for extra bread!), and the melted cheese with toasted bread was a highlight. The fries were uniquely cut and perfectly cooked, and the calamari was top-notch. The view and ambiance make this a great place to relax with friends over tapas and drinks. I would come back again for the quality of the food, the beautiful setting, and the wonderful service from Omar -- but I do hope management addresses the front-host experience, as it really sets the tone for the evening.

Unfortunately, the situation got worse. Two employees came outside and approached us in a very disrespectful way and made a racist remark, referring to us as "two tequilas" and saying "clean up those two tequilas," basically telling us we needed to leave immediately. Allowing employees to behave in a racist and disrespectful manner toward customers is unacceptable. What makes it even more disappointing is that I was actually considering bringing a group of coworkers here in the future. After this experience, I absolutely won't be doing that. The service was rude, unprofessional, and completely ruined what should have been a relaxing afternoon.
