We were planning on coming here so we made a reservation head of time, wait time was only about 5 minutes after checking in. We visited on a Saturday around 6pm and parking structure closest was pretty packed we had to circle around a handful of times before finding a spot that someone was leaving from. There is valet available. Picanha (top sirloin)- My all time favorite cut. The fat cap had the perfect crisp char. Tender and juicy every time. Spicy Tri Tip - surprisingly had a slight kick to it. Added some dimension to all the meats we were eating. Bone In Ribeye -really marbled but on the fatter side. Filet Mignon -only came by 1 time the entire time we dinned there. My piece was medium but it was quite chewy. I know you can ask your server for specific cuts but we opted to see what would come by. Grilled Cheese -texture of firm cheese with a melted char outside has my name written all over it. I paired this with all my different cuts of meats as they came.

Over priced low quality meat Food was sub par. We chose the high end indulgent churrasco $78.00 (Over Priced) unlimited meats including a side order (one time order) lobster tail (not fresh and had a smell) Plus it included the Market Table basically cheeses, fruits, vegetables and some soup (not the best). Very very disappointed, all the meats served was rubbery and not the best tasting. I feel the meat was low quality nothing had that perfect chewiness. They even had garlic beef which was just awful tasting. Service was mediocre not the friendliest bunch especially the waiters. It seemed like no one was happy there. Nothing against them but it just felt unfriendly. I hope that's not the case with all. Ambiance was good very clean place. Location was good but parking in this mall is horrendous. How to improve: The cook needs to do better. Make that meat tasty and not hard to chew. Serve meat more frequently and smaller portions to taste not just give one whole piece. Variety of meat were few and far in between. Didn't even have a chance to eat some pork. As for the Market Table it needs to be replenished faster as it looked almost empty every time I went up to get some fruits. Manager needs to talk to the employees to be more friendly so it becomes welcoming for customers.

We came for their Best of Brazil deal, and it was definitely worth it. The Best of Brazil featuring Picanha, Fraldinha, and Linguica sausage. It also includes unlimited trips to the Market Table. The prime top sirloin and button sirloin we tried was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The Market Table had plenty of fresh salads, Brazilian sides, breads, and seasonal soups making it easy to balance out all the delicious meat. The only downside was the service. Our waitress wasn't very attentive. Our used plates piled up on the table for quite a while, and our water glasses stayed empty after we finished them. We had a hard time finding her just to get a refill, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the quality of the food made up for the service issues, and we still had a great dining experience overall. We'd definitely come back and hope for better service next time.

The food arrived relatively quickly and consistently. The servers were attentive and asked if I wanted anything specifically. I enjoyed a scrumptious amount of grilled pineapple. As for the meats, I enjoyed to top sirloin, the lamb steak and the bacon from the market table. There was a variety of dragon fruit and kiwi and pineapple at the market table. I enjoyed the four course for $64 per person, with market table, all meats included and a dessert was included in that price.

Perfect for celebrations and this is my first time trying their brunch, the whole concept was really great and their cocktails happy hour also is a plus, they have the full bar and churrasco experience that is always the main attraction, the staff who serves the food was really on top but actually the servers were a little bit behind and off for like an hour and the place was nothing busy by 2 pm. We also notice other party complaining about the servers delays and lack of attention to the customers I really hope that it was a one time thing.

Came here for the first time with some friends, but we only sat at the bar and ordered food. The restaurant itself is really nice, and when we visited it wasn't crowded at all. Since they weren't busy, I honestly expected the service to be a little quicker. We stopped by for happy hour, and the menu had some great options. I've never had Brazilian food before, so I was excited to try something new. We ordered the vegetable fries (I can't remember the exact name), and they were delicious, filling, and definitely big enough to share. I also got the hibiscus cocktail, which was refreshing and really good. The shrimp and lobster lettuce tacos were another favorite super flavorful and surprisingly filling. My husband ordered the burger, and one of our friends got the strip steak. Now, let's talk about the service. The bartender was great and very friendly, but the timing of the food coming out was disappointing. We all placed our orders at the same time, yet my husband's burger took forever to arrive. Everyone else at the table received their food, finished eating, and was practically done with their meals before his burger finally came out. I was honestly confused how a steak dish made it to the table before a burger, especially when the restaurant wasn't busy on a Saturday. That part of the experience definitely put a damper on our visit. I understand delays happen, but when the restaurant isn't packed, it's frustrating to have one person's meal come out so much later than everyone else's. Overall, the food was good and the atmosphere was nice, but the service timing needs some work. Hopefully, if I decide to come back, the experience will be a lot smoother because I really wanted to like this place.

Six of us for the $74 Churrasco Experience. Service: Friendly, yet took 30 minutes to get 2 cocktails. Straw was shorter than edge of glass. Server denied $59 dollar four course meal advertised on Facebook, noting limited selection of meats compared to the "experience". No time allowed to enjoy "Market Table" before meats began to arrive! Where were we supposed to put it? By the way, meats are served on the same plates as the salad bar. Meat servers were friendly enough, a few weren't too happy. Final server was delightful, insuring a good tip. BTW, no attempt to offer a bottle or glass of wine. That much red meat needed a delicious cab or red blend. Food: We would only recommend the Filet Mignon and Ribeye. Other cuts were chewy and tasteless. The Market Table wasn't all that, I actually think the old Souplantation had better selections. We only received 3 of the "sides" and were never offered more bread. Note: We had to ask for the filet mignon but never saw ribs and lamb medallions appeared at the very end after we were done Ambiance: We were seated at a nice round table in the bar area. Roomy but lacking $600 night ambiance. They must do something about the waiting area without an appropriate table/stand the host must turn their back to guests to check for tables. We had reservations and waited 10 minutes for a table when restaurant was at 25% capacity. Experience & value? A high end steakhouse is a better choice and value. This is "Disney does Meat" without the Disney magic. Gets 2 stars for the filet mignon. .

Fogo de Chão is a Brazilian steakhouse (churrascaria) chain with locations across the country. It's an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) restaurant that specializes in fire-roasted meats served table side. This location is at the Irvine Spectrum; when you first walk in it looks deceptively small but there's a much bigger space when you turn the corner. For the churrasco experience, they have a system where you flip your card green if you want more meat and red if you want to pause. There's also a salad bar with salads, cheese, veggies, and other cold foods. They also have all day happy hour which is what we came for. The lobster & shrimp tacos ($13.50) were on a Napa cabbage and not a flour/corn tortilla so beware of that; the tacos were big but there wasn't much lobster. The picanha burger ($10) was juicy and I liked the dipping sauce on it as well. The filet mignon board ($17.50) was tender and I liked the chimichurri. For drinks the passionate caipirinha ($10) and strawberry hibiscus caipirinha ($10) were refreshing and easy to drink. They also have complimentary pão de queijo (cheese bread) that was fluffy on the outside and cheesy and chewy on the inside. We loved this and we kept asking for more. The big issue was that the service was pretty lacking. It took a long time to get our food and drinks, about 40 minutes for our tacos and 60 minutes for our burger. When we did get our burger our server said that we would get the polenta fries separately because it was taking too long and then they eventually forgot until we asked for it. Even then, they only gave us a few pieces. I've been to other locations which were better than what I had here. Some of the dishes we had was better than others but the service was not great.

We tried the four-course experience at Fogo de Chão in Irvine and it was a great option for a nice dinner out. It offers a similar experience to the Full Churrasco with a curated selection of meats and dessert included. The servers were attentive, friendly and made sure we always had everything we needed. We've been to this location many times and it consistently delivers excellent food and service. It was another wonderful dining experience from start to finish.

Fogo de chao is a great place for a family gathering or birthday celebration. It was interesting to see all the meat options brought to the table. I being a vegan, was pretty limited in food selection, however my friends and boyfriend enjoyed the skirt steak the most out of all the meat options. The salad bar was a little underwhelming to me, I liked the eggplant and dragon fruit, but felt there could be more for building a salad. The restaurant was very clean and the servers were very kind. All and all it was a fun time

Chose Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse because it was my business partner's first time and he's really into fitness, so it fit his lifestyle. The three of us were celebrating a business win and expected top-notch service for this kind of dining experience. We went with the full churrasco experience, which worked out well for hitting our protein goals. I mostly stuck with leaner cuts like chicken and filet mignon, skipped the picanha since it's fattier, but the ribeye stood out--salted really well and super flavorful. It got busy for a Thursday afternoon, so coming early helped. Meats were coming around consistently at first, and we ended up showing our friend how everything works. Service though... was lacking. We kept having to look for our server and ask the gauchos to track them down. Not ideal for this type of restaurant. Shoutout to Ajay though--he was attentive and gave the best service. Desserts were mixed: * Key lime pie was the best--nice and tart * Tres leches was good, but I've had better * Papaya cream wasn't for me Overall, I'd say 3.5 stars, but rounding up to 4 for the food and experience. Just wish the service matched.

Picanha burger came out lukewarm & overcooked
    Chloe P.

Stopped by for their happy hour around 3pm & was greeted promptly by a worker. We ordered 2 picanha burgers & spiced chicken sliders. It took 40 minutes for the sliders to come out and another 20 minutes for the burgers to be delivered. Before we got the burgers, the worker informed us that they ran out of polenta 40 minutes after ordering & they would sub it with regular fries. Makes me wonder if they even started our order at the time we placed them. After 1 hour of waiting for the burgers, I was excited to eat but was frustrated to find that the burger was cooked well done instead of medium rare like I'd asked for. I didn't end up finishing it or requesting a new one because I thought it'd take another hour. AND the burger was lukewarm instead of hot. Seems to me that they first made the burgers & ran out of polenta so we had to wait for 1 hour. For this being an upscale dining restaurant, I was really disappointed with the food & service as the whole staff seemed absent minded. We requested refills on the cheeseballs & it never came out. We sat at the bar area so we were almost always next to a server but he seemed to be inattentive & withdrawn from us. It seemed like the workers didn't want to be at work. I get that servers have those days but it was no excuse to forget our requests & even refill water. (We had to ask for water refills too). No one checked in on us & we felt we were an annoyance to the staff. The restaurant wasn't busy at all as we were 2 of 4 people at the bar. Overall, it was a horrible dining experience where we were late to other plans because the food took 1 hour to arrive. I wouldn't spend $ here when there are better options without the slow service & poor food quality, like Texas de Brazil.

Had a reservation here and was seated promptly. They have dim ambiant lighting that was too dark at times, but it eventually leveled out. Nice level of chatter and music. Had an amazing birthday dinner experience here. Appetizers were tasty, but I liked the potatoes the most. Top cuts of meat would be the wagyu sirloin and picanha. I'd pass on the chicken and top sirloin, which were a little dry. Grilled pineapple is a must-try, super sweet and seasoned with cinnamon to pair with the savory meats. Their salad bar wasn't as large as I imagined, but I enjoyed the beets and street corn. The lobster tail that came with the indulgent menu was well cooked. Jacino was our bartender and he served up a big shot of tequila. Great guy, positive vibes. He was also knowledgeable about the drinks. All of the servers were also kind and attentive. While I did get full a bit quick, I'm glad I tried the indulgent menu. Would recommend trying Fogo de Chao at least once.

Ask the Community - Fogo de Chão

    How much per adult?

Depends on what you order and if you go during lunch or dinner. Lunch is definitely an excellent deal

Does fogo de chao accept cash?

Yes, they do accept cash. We ate there a few months back and my husband had paid cash for our meals.

    Are there any halal options?

No, I don't think so but there is an all you can eat salad bar. Also, they have fish on there menu so you don't have to do the meat option.

How are birthdays acknowledged? A comped dessert or meal discount?

When making our reservation, they asked if we were celebrating any special occasion. My husband told them in the reservation and in person at the restaurant that it was my birthday, and they did nothing to acknowledge it.

Does individual entree order come with salad bar? or should i pay separately for salad bar?

Yes it does! The salad bar alone is a feast, so pace yourself!

Does this location have an all day happy hour menu?

    They do not

Does this location offer grilled pineapple?

Yes you just have to ask your server. It comes grilled with cinnamon.

Is the lunch menu for experience the same price for weekday and weekend? Only helpful answers...

Hi Karen, They only offer the lunch prices for the experience during the week. They only have dinner prices on the weekend.

How much is lunch weekday right now?

$18 for market table, 45$ for all meat experience

Does Irvine location allow you to bring your own bottle of wine and what is the corkage fee?

    Yes, $35 corkage fee

Is the 44$ deal still on? And is it for dinner?

Yes it's for dinner (starting at 2PM). You need to mention the deal at reservation and check-in, so you don't get charged the full price.

They have $44 special going on in Irvine location but don't know when expires?

As of 8/11/23 the Irvine Spectrum location still has the deal. It's extended beyond its original expiration, but not valid on Holidays. Call ahead and ask to make sure, but it should be active a while longer!

    What is their corkage fee?

    $35

Is the lunch salad bar $15 on Memorial Day?

Unfortunately, They usually do not have that price for Holidays.

Do we need reservations or can we walk in?

You do not need reservations but it is recommended that you make a reservation because it can get pretty busy.

Can you ask for the meat well done?

Yes. You can ask for any temperature on the meats. I usually order medium rare. Sometimes I have to wait for the next round if the meat is well done. Generally the gauchos know the temperature of the meat. To be sure they can cut into it to show you…

CAKE Question: would it be okay for me to bring in CAKE (outside food) for my wedding celebration at Fogo de Chao?

I've seen other do this for large parties, So I would say you should be able to. I would suggest checking with management to be safe.

What are all the asterisks on the menu for? I see no reference anywhere on the menu to explain the meaning.

It is actually at the bottom of the menu in all the text. The asterisks refer to the warning about consuming under cooked meat.

Does this price include the beverage? $44.95 per person for brunch.

    It does not.

    Do they offer Non-AYCE menu?

Yes, there are other options as well.

Parking is super easy, they have their own section in a larger parking lot. Definitely make a reservation on the weekends because it gets packed. There's usually space at the bar for groups of 1-2. If you have a group larger than 5-6 people, they won't take your reservation because they don't have large tables. Love the staff, they're always on top of everything. Very kind and attentive without being overbearing. Food is CONSISTENTLY high quality which I love love love. I eat the same things I did when I first came over 10 years ago and it tastes just as good. They make small modifications to the menu and add new flavors (like soup of the day) but otherwise all remains the same and genuinely I love it because they serve food and flavors I can't find anywhere else. Highly recommend the smoked salmon, spinach and artichoke dip, Hawaiian ribeye, fork and knife ribs, grilled chicken salad (fav salad I've ever had), and the fries with spicy mayo (actually top 3 fries I've ever had too). I used to love the southwest chili they serve on Saturdays but they recently changed the recipe and added beans...ruined the dish imo...was a bit sad about that but overall no complaints. We had the best smoked salmon. Our steaks were juicy and so full of flavor. The best was our incredible baked potato! Every bite was magical. The whole night was so much fun. This is one one the best of the best in Orange County. I highly recommend Houstons.

Manageable though. + Still love me some sizzling JP curry~ *drools* Nov '24: Likes: + Variety of exotic, delicious dishes. + Highly recommend experiencing the curry menu. And if you've never had chicken karaage sizzling curry, it's a must-try at least once in your life. + Polite, helpful staff. + Decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. + I like how the curry comes in a gravy boat (aka saucière). Then, they bring out the sizzling meal on a hot stone plate. You wanna drape your meal in that curry while it's hot to enjoy that sizzling phenomenon. + Pleasant ambience. Non-likes: - Price gouging outta control. See attached image for detail. Beef curry used to be $12.80. Their new menu now says $13.99, but that's not even the true price. Today the pre-tax price turned out to be $14.89! Karaage curry used to be $16.80. Now the menu says $19.09, but on Grubhub it's a whopping $23.39! (Approaching a $10 price increase!) Makes the Rakuten 4% cash back seem like a joke. This Rakuten saving would reduce the GH price from $23.39 to $22.45, but that's still on the exorbitant side. I mean, if your cash back is gonna be too cheap to cover the price hike, why have it at all? What I'm requesting is for PL's Rakuten-Grubhub to offer a cash back equal to or greater than the price increase. In this case, since a 19% cash back would offset the price increase that's occurring from $19.09 to $23.39, R-GH should offer a cash back of at least 20% to justify the use of online ordering. (Otherwise I'd just order by phone call.) Out of all the restaurants I've seen, prices rise at Pepper Lunch the fastest. Their new menu belies the actual prices. - And of course the chicken pasta: $13.80 became $15.99 (which is $17.23 post-tax) within the past couple years. Prices rising rapidly! - They removed the Yelp check-in offer for a free side if you order two dishes. I miss every lost opportunity to try to counterbalance the price hikes. I had: $16.04 Beef Curry + $17.23 Chicken Pasta = $33.27

I found the cocktail to be slightly too sweet for my taste, but it was still very good (fragrant and well-balanced). The short ribs were tender and soft, cooked in a perfectly savory sauce with a hint of sweetness, and served over smooth mashed potatoes. The steak was also cooked and seasoned well. We all loved the maple pecan Brussels sprouts. I often find this dish to be overly oily or sweet, but this one was done very well. The Brussels sprouts were well-seasoned with the perfect hint of sweetness and cooked perfectly, not too soft or too crunchy. I will say that the restaurant's lighting was excessively dark. I don't mind dim lighting for ambiance, but it was so dark that I had to lean in close to my food and squint to see it clearly, which felt a bit excessive. Additionally, the green beans were slightly too old and fibrous, although they were cooked well. This was a shame because if they had used younger, fresher green beans, it would have elevated the dish and paired much better with the well-prepared meat. Overall great experience and would definitely come back! :)

Good: My order was delayed and the team were super communicative and checked back with me multiple times. They were friendly and seemed genuinely concerned about the time. I appreciated their service. Bad: Because the order was delayed, I think they severely under seasoned everything. My daughter's alfredo kids meal was nothing short of boiled pasta served. It looked like they missed all sorts of anything on it to be honest. I bought it home to her going, "YUCK!" She never has used those words to describe pasta. I ended up trying a bite and have to agree. Next comes the breadsticks. Looking at the pictures, they look like they have some sort of cheese/garlic/butter on them. I was provided completely plain breadsticks. This was bread baked in the oven and put in a bag and given. I am highly disappointed in what I was given. Both pasta for my kid and my breadsticks completely missed the mark. Apart from their service being awesome, the food absolutely stunk. Looking back at the pictures from other guests, I really think my experience is an unfortunate experience. I have seen them on my way to work daily and now I am not sure if I would want to recommend them to anyone.

The place is beautiful, very clean, very fancy. The waiter who explained how everything works had a pretty strong accent and it was kind of loud in there so it was a little hard to understand but he was more than happy to answer any questions we had. The salad bar had a ton of variety and all of it was so good. The shrimp was delicious and spicy, the jasmine rice was so warm and soft. The potatoes were cheesy and soft. They give you complimentary mashed potatoes, cheesy bread, plantains, and French fries and all of it was cooked to perfection. It was hard to not eat all of it right away. The meat selection is a little overstimulating since the waiters are just buzzing around the tables looking for people to shave off a piece of meat for. All of the food runners were extremely friendly and looked happy to be there, there were just so many of them. You get overwhelmed because you just start saying yes to all the meat because you don't want to miss out on a good piece but then you end up with a ton of food on your plate. I tried to play it cool and only eat small portions at a time but I got full so quickly :-( the best meat had to be the filet minion, the worst being some of the lamb options, but none of it tasted bad. We didn't order any drinks because we were trying to only get full off the actual food but we had multiple waiters try to get us to order their house cocktails. Next time I would definitely try one now that I know what to expect.

The full-on churrasco experience is the only thing you should be preparing for here, although I've ordered takeout via DoorDash/Uber Eats as well when I've needed to hit my craving for picanha (it's surprisingly good even after delivery). The service has been strong and there's always someone coming by to offer you cuts, though don't be caught just waiting for the cuts of meat you want - they are more than happy to take your order for the meats you're waiting for. Some make the mistake of just simply sitting quiet and waiting until the desired cut comes around - don't be shy! If you enjoy a drink with your meal, treat yourself to a caipirinha while you're here - they're sweet, strong and done well. I save room in my stomach for this place when I go. Save a second stomach for dessert, because they have a huge selection of presentable desserts to match the meats too!

Service was quick and friendly, everything we ordered came out extremely fast. FOOD (4/5): $19 ENDIVE SALAD: such a simple salad, but dressed perfectly and seriously can't go wrong here! The blue cheese is AMAZING. I could eat a whole bowl of just that. Great refreshing starter with a vinaigrette sauce. $16 RACLETTE POTATOES: potatoes with melted cheese and prosciutto. I wished the prosciutto was cut into smaller pieces, but this is the perfect saltiness. Yummy! $76 RIBEYE (16 OZ): enough to share between 2 people, at least for us gals. Served medium rare with the shallot sauce. This sauce was a bit more mild than I expected, but delicious nonetheless. $24 CAMEBERT CHEESE: we got this for dessert and it's HUGE! It's a whole head of baked camebert (think the size of Brie, very similar) and served with toasted baguette. Very sticky, very creamy, very tasty!
