So bad! Not sure why I try this place every few years. Doesn't seem to matter which location you go to. This particular night we were in Alabama for a conference. My colleague and I came for dinner. 30 minute wait, while a lot of servers were standing over in the corner just talking. Whatever. Finally got seated, and put in our drink order. I got ice tea, and she got a cocktail. About 15 minutes later they came out with her drink, but not my tea... I asked if we could put in our food order, then she could do that and get the drink at the same time. Ok, so we put in our order, and off she goes. Like forever. I got up, and went to the bar area, and got my own drink. About 35 to 40 minutes after we had put in our order, the food comes out. We had arrived about 4:30pm, it was now about 6:15. I got the grilled salmon with the veggies and a side salad. No dressing no cheese. She got that wrong, had to have her bring another, which ended up being to go, along with most of the salmon, because we had been there for way too long. The salmon wasn't bad. My co worker got the chicken and shrimp Alfredo. The shrimp was so tough, it was hard for her to chew it all the way. The sauce was watery and tasted like straight garlic. She sent it back. We gave up on her meal and went somewhere else for that. They took her meal and my drink off the bill, but honestly, they could have done more, as compensation. horrible service. read more

Omg. Where do I start?? Ok. So my fiancé and I went in at 8:00. They closed at 9. We sat down, ordered our food and around 8:30 our meal was brought out. I kid you not!! 8:30!! There were people who came in before us and they were still waiting to be served!! The only reason we chose this place was cause "Long Horn Steakhouse" was packed!! I hadn't been to Outback in a long time but I was meeting friends who picked it. It was so good. I was pretty basic and ordered chicken fingers with a house salad and mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. I don't know what they put in that mac and cheese but I could not stop raving about it I won't wait as long between Outback visits anymore. read more

"We will never be back", is what I wrote on the bill. I did not complain, I did not send any food back, I did not ask for a refund. I paid for my family's $85 meal, I left the waiter nothing, and we will never return. On Jan 18th, we arrived and were immediately seated, as the restaurant was only about 50% full. 1) My wife ordered appetizer #1 (crab-stuffed mushrooms): "Sorry, we don't have the materials to make that." 2) She ordered appetizer #2 (mozzarella with tomatoes): "That item is being taken off the menu, so we dont have the supplies to make that either" (even though it was advertised as "NEW" on the menu). No other recommendations were made... waiter just walked off. 3) My ceasar salad was drowning in dressing, and had no croutons on it whatsoever....and we still hadn't received silverware yet. 4) We waited 55 minutes for our food. 5) my wife's $27 steak showed up with no mushrooms, and was cold. 6) My steak was like beef jerky, and cold 7) My chicken wings were cold, and he brought the wrong dressing. 8) My daughter's chicken was overcooked and hard. 9) We never received my son's (kids meal) apple juice... ever. 10) My son never got his (kids meal) dessert.... ever. The tables were BARE (not even salt & pepper)... you had to ask for every condiment. We never once saw the manager.... ever (not sure there was even one working). The entire wait staff had a "grumpy" look on their faces, and our particular waiter was as incompetent as any I'd ever seen. Outback as a franchise is generally a good experience. This location is proof, however, that not all franchises are created equal and bad ownership matters. I'm not sure who owns this particular Outback, but they benefit off the out of town traffic playing the Robert Trent Jones trail golf course next door, without a doubt. It is a very cheaply run restaurant for the price you pay. Many things such as bread and condiments are withheld from your table unless requested and then often brought in minute amounts. Tonight we placed an order for two salmon dinners through their drive-up takeout service. What we received looked very much like one normal sized salmon filet cut into two very small strips and doled out as full portion meals. For the $16 per plate price tag, it was disappointing to say the least. It's not the first time I've re-learned my lesson on this restaurant, but as I said. The franchise has a strong name to stand behind. I wish it were in more capable hands. There isn't a large variety of dining options in Prattville and this town deserves better. read more

Went to this location 6.28.19 around 5:00pm. Went in just me (one) person. There were about 8 to 10 others waiting to be seated. When I walked in, I was told there would be a wait. I wondered why because there were all these tables opened. Was then told they didn't have waiters/waitress on duty. NOW remember this is a FRIDAY night at 5:00pm. First, let me say that my waitress, Krystle, was great. She came by repeatedly to check on is and keep us informed about or meal. So Good Job Krystle. The rest of the meal was interesting. Appetizers were great but small portions. But what was most depressing was the meal. A couple of us had ordered one of the special items of filet with shrimp. Although cooked correctly, the shrimp was cold to the touch, I mean really cold to the touch. Pushed them aside for fear of food bore illness since it was apparent they had not been kept at appropriate temperature. Even the filet was cool. The baked potato was half baked. And someone had dumped enough sour cream on it that it obscured from view. All in all a poor experience indeed. Krystle had stayed that the manger would be by but threat never happened. What was more fascinating was that there were only 12 tables occupied, and it still took well over 30 minutes to get appetizers. The entire meal took well over an hour. Doubt I will ever be back. This has got to be the worst Outback I have ever visited. No wonder their yelp score is so low. read more

I came here to eat on a weeknight by myself. I walked in and was immediately seated. Within 1 minute the waitress was asking for my drink order in a very pleasant unhurried tone of voice. She promptly returned with my drink, took my food order, and came right back with bread. My appetizer came out about 7 minutes later, then my salad after about 10 minutes, then my entree in another 12-15 minutes. Everything tasted wonderful. Everything was prepared as ordered. From out of town and ate here 2 nights back to back. We love our Outback in Bloomington, IL and this review is probably spoiled on trying to compare a 5-star facility with this one. Consistent with other reviews, the timing of service is lacking here. From being seated, to drink orders, to appetizer orders, to getting drinks, to taking meal orders there is a 5-10 minute wait between them. The first night we ordered mushrooms and shrimp appetizers and received shrimp and a bloomin onion. We ate them and just ignored the mistake. I ordered a ribeye cooked medium. It was cooked well or well done. The waitor did looked to be hustling, waiting many tables and did get a good tip. We went back again tonight because we figured it wouldn't be as busy on a Sunday night. The delays were again consistent during order taking process. I decided to get the prime rib cooked medium, and it looked medium. The prime rib was one of the toughest pieces of meat I've had in a long time. I asked 4 times for raw horseradish and was finally brought the horseradish mix (w/ sour cream I thin. At no point in the process were dirty dishes removed. The busboy worked in slow motion and had a hair style where his bangs hung down over his face like "Cousin It". Put our names in they said they had to clean a table and would be right out so about 30 minutes later I walked in and looked around the same 3 girls standing up front not doing anything looked at me looking around and said I'll seat y'all. So we got to the table ordered a blooming onion and bread no plates so we asked for napkins and he said they didn't have any besides the small ones to sit drinks on so I grabbed the ones that was at the table beside us that was normal size that they didn't have no forks so we asked and he said your getting the girls cussed out again for not doing their job. We got our food my grandparents steaks were literally black neither could even cut them I told the server and he said okay took their plates and bring a $80.00 bill we left a $20 tip and won't be back. Be careful when ordering a steak from this location. The last time we went to this location the table behind us questioned the filet they ordered being a sirloin. The manager came out apologized and assured them it was a filet it's just the way they cook their steak. Then offered them a free dessert. Last night I ordered a filet and was given a sirloin. I did not question or make a complaint to our server. Not looking to get a free dessert or an excuse why my filet didn't look like the picture or have the texture of the cut I always order. Today, I had the most unpleasant pleasant experience at this place. Our server, James, was amazing. That's the pleasant part. THASSIT. The unpleasant part about the experience was that the food took 45 minutes to arrive to us. When the food finally arrived, I voiced my unhappiness about the wait. After being notified by our waiter, the manager, Abbey Golsen, came to try to rectify the situation (which is appreciated) and told us that she would check with the kitchen to see what the problem was. (I'm not sure how that would benefit us?, but ok) Abbey also informed us that the TAT is 12 minutes. !! I would think that in a situation like this, a gift card or something to encourage us to come back to this place would have been the answer. NOPE. Not even. All we got was her word that she'd see what's going on in the kitchen. You're welcome to everyone else that ordered after us - - your food should have come out in a timely manner. The main reason for even going to Outback in Prattville is because I did not want to travel to Eastchase to eat - considering the time it takes to get there plus the possible wait for a table and then the wait for the food. About once a year I give them a shot again and then almost instantly remember why I don't eat at this location. Couldn't even make it to the ordering part tonight. I used curbside service when I got back to my hotel and my order was totally wrong. Wrong drink missing items and no steak for the steak salad. I called and spoke to the manager she stated she would be sending me a gift card for my inconvenience, That never happened, make sure you check your order before leaving. My husband has been bugging me for sometime to go to Outback and get a Blooming Onion so, I decided to take him for Valentine's Day. When we arrived we were told that the wait would be approximately 20-30 minutes. The place was packed and the noise level was unbelievable! We looked around for someplace to sit and wait. The bar was full and the indoor waiting area was full as well. We finally ended up waiting (standing) outside on the porch. A waitress was coming around and taking drink orders but, never approached us to ask us if we would care for a drink. Our 30 minute waiting period came and went...it was 40 minutes before we were seated in the restaurant. The waitress came by and asked us for our drink order. I ordered a glass of wine and my husband ordered unsweetened iced tea. The waitress came back with a glass of water for me and my husbands tea. For some reason they do not keep Sweet and Low on the table so, he had to wait 10 minutes before the waitress brought him Sweet and Low. I still did not have my glass of wine. A few minutes later the waitress brought my glass of wine to me, it was then that she took our dinner order. We ordered the Valentine's Day special which consisted of a Blooming Onion, two New York Strip steaks, two salads, two fully loaded baked potatoes, and two pieces of cheese cake for $48. After about 20 more minutes of waiting our waitress stopped by to tell us that she just put our order in and that the kitchen was backed up so it would be a while before we got our Blooming Onion and did we want to go ahead and have our food. We told her that we would take our onion to go and asked her if she could please bring us our food. I then ordered a second glass of wine. The food finally arrived 40 minutes after we were seated! I asked the waitress for some A1 and she brought us a small ramekin with 3 Tablespoons of A1 in it for the two of us. Not nearly enough in my book. My husband said that his food was wonderful, my steak however was RAW! The waitress was no where to be found...my husband later informed me that she was seated at the table behind us chatting with friends. When the waitress was done hanging out with her friends she came by and asked us how everything was and I told her that my food was not edible. She offered to send it back to the kitchen, I declined. I told her that I was no longer hungry and just would like my check and my cheesecake to go. The manager came by shortly afterward and asked us about our meal. I told the manager that my food was not edible and she comped the entire meal except for the wine. I do not think that I will go to Outback again. The whole thing was just such a fiasco! The service at this Outback is poor at best. The food is subpar and always over seasoned and over cooked. There is also nothing more irritating than having to wait almost forty-five minutes for a table when at least thirty percent of the tables are empty. Very disappointing! read more

Cheesecake could have been made from a supermarket cheesecake kit that a high schooler could make. Service was okay to good. The price is too high for the quality of food served.
