Kiddie pool
Shevona Y.

This place was so awesome for my son's 3rd birthday! We went camping there, our view was of the beautiful lake. You can rent cabins as well. The water park was the most amazing part! They had a huge kiddy pool that had waterfalls and an island, they had a bigger pool for adults 4 1/2 feet deep, they had a kiddy slide and a big adult slide. And they have a playground. They have mini golfing, basket ball court, a rec room. Everything was clean and well kept. The staff were all super nice...I loveeeee it here. My son was so busy doing everything. .3 days wasn't enough. .. cannot wait to come back! !

Away from the city!

Most sites that we could see had a definitive slant to it. Also, the one way roads route you through the permanent residents every time you come into the park. Worth getting over though because the people running the place are extremely friendly and helpful. Our month stay here was very enjoyable. We did not get to use the pool but it looked great. (daughter was sick - then it was raining). The little playground was nice. We would probably stay here again if we thought we could get a flatter site. Everything else was great.

We stayed the weekend of June 3-5, 2016. We were in pull thru lot 74. This place is clean, my girls commented the bathrooms were super clean, the grounds were well manicured. A pool was offered, a mini front office/store, and bingo. You will be assigned a key card to re-enter the grounds, there is a gate at the front with only one road for incoming and outgoing. Owners were very nice. There are a few rules and might sound a little strict but any sensible camper won't have any issues. I can see where the Pocono Speedway could bring in the party people, again I had no issues. We stayed here as were doing Camelback adventures which was conveniently 10 minutes away. 15 min away is a Walmart, CVS. I would stay here again, and cost was reasonable. My site had full hookup.

There was an issue with water but the Ranger assigned allowed me to hook up to the next site that was vacant. The management and employees go out of their way to make sure every guest has a great and enjoyable stay. Very kid friendly and their are plenty of events and things for kids to do. The other guest in the RV park welcomed us to their camping family. The current management has made many improvements from what I have seen and heard from other seasonal campers. Everyone from the employees, the management, and the current seasonal guests all have ambitions to make this RV park even better than it already is. Excitement is in the air and I'm proud to be part of the Scotrun RV park family. I would recommend anyone to come check out Thousand Trails Scotrun RV park and will guarantee you will fall in love with this place as my family and I did. See you all soon!

0 stars for housekeeping -- they didn't notice our original shower was broken, they didn't clean…read morethe shower when we requested it when the floor was wet (because the shower curtains are very short). This was by far the laziest housekeeping people we've ever encountered in our lives -- instead of taking the requested dirty towels away and replacing them, they left everything on the ground and just dumped a pile of towels on the sink. Additionally, they barely made the beds -- the sofa bed was ignored while the main mattress' sheets were all touching the ground. Only the kids bunks got remade properly. We passed other rooms and it looked like they actually made the beds, so we probably got assigned the world's laziest person. Food: buffet food is meh. Restaurant food a step up. Stick with dunkin' for breakfast. Ice cream not bad, soft serve is large portions. Mirror maze was basically all broken. Only 2 things really worked when we went in, by the next day only one worked. Pay dirt (mining gemstones/fossils) was a high value activity for my kids - extra worth when you have the 25% discount. Water park is tiny and cold (there's a few small hot tubs), but has a lazy river; slushies standard ICEE brand, mini golf is sad (only like 7 holes maybe). Kids had a ton of fun at the candlestick bowling -- there's a bunch of game modes to try. Only worth if you get the unlimited. Magiquest was 4-6 hours of running around fun and defeating monsters. Wands and attachments are all upcharges from standard. Mostly can only access up and down with elevators so when one is out of order it takes forever. We didn't experience anything outdoors bc of rain.

Had to request toilet paper and towels because no one came to our room. *Lazy river was everything but lazy.. Don't understand why kids are allowed in the lazy river without tubes! Swimming and running while people are trying to float! There are two adequate pools for swimming and a wave pool. * Read your bill At the water park we ordered food and was over charged for some items. Adjustment was made when we brought it to their attention. Also gratuity charge was on the bill.. In our room about 8:00 PM the room above us had assuming kids jumping off of furniture sounding like they were going to come through our ceiling! Could not call down to the front desk room phone didn't work... Had to use the chat?? We were told quiet hours start at 11:00 PM... So beware it's ok if someone comes through your ceiling before 11:00 PM.

(This was a few months ago so the details could be a bit iffy.)…read more This was a very impromptu trip and everything at Edge of the Woods makes doing that easy. Head to the website, book the date & time you want and you're done. www.watergapadventure.com/river-trips A few things worth noting: They offer multiple trip lengths. The standard 4-, 6- and 10-mile trip (Smithfield to Portland) are all booked generically and then when you get there you tell them what you want to do. All pricing is the same which believe me compared to others companies, that's very different - in a good way. They do offer two other longer trips but those require calls to the main office I assume to assess river conditions; your own competency and shuttle availability. The main office in Delaware Water Gap is very easy to find and there was plenty of parking on a quiet post-Labor Day Monday. You check in, you're handed a laminated map, life jacket and given a brief route explanation and then you're off in the van. One problem arose and it was kind of a PIA but it was worked around. Most companies have different types/sizes/models of kayaks and quite often, will ask you what you prefer. Not here. When we left the office, the guy driving didn't say a word to me until we get to Smithfield Beach to unload. He had a few kayaks pre-loaded in the carrier but definitely did not look at them before we left. One of them had a broken foot pedal that he said couldn't be used, another was very much designed for a smaller individual (i.e. if you're taller and/or taller & larger it ain't happening safely) which only left two tandem models. Using a tandem as a single individual is not the end of the world but especially when the seats are still left in the two person configuration (i.e. one front and one back versus the rear one being placed more towards the middle), it's a PIA to maneuver the craft and you are paddling harder to get the job done compared to a single. The scenery along the route was decent. You could see a bit of the Shawnee Resort and Golf Course, an old stone bridge abutment in the middle of the river, under and along 80 and then when you get into the Water Gap itself with the high cliff sides. Very picturesque. Once you go under the old train viaduct in Portland, you give the office a call for the shuttle to meet you at the out point which is at the Portland Pedestrian Bridge. The whole experience was about four hours door to door to cover the ten miles on the water plus the shuttle to & from the pick up and drop off points. Lots of nice scenery, due to the low water level there wasn't much in the way of current except for the area around viaduqt in Portland and even that wasn't bad. I'm not a big fan of the equipment here but I wouldn't let that deter me from coming back in the future for one of their northern longer trips.

My daughter, who was initially reluctant to go to sleepaway, decided that she wanted to go too. Though they are both very different in interests and personality, they both had an amazing summer. The staff really works to ensure that each child is valued, included, and engaged. Since they have such an expansive program, my children not only got to experience a wide variety of activities but also met other children with a wide variety of interests. The camp is flexible about letting students change majors and the kids loved trip days. There is a strong community feel and the facilities are very well-maintained.
