The main building consists of the camp office and store, laundry and bathhouse facilities. The large swimming pool and community area/fire pit were adjacent. The sites are very spacious and not on top of your neighbor! SB probably has the most space between sites in most of the campgrounds we have visited. In addition to being spacious, the sites were very level, with good water pressure, and consistent power. Our site was gravel, but there are quite a few with concrete pads. The recreation amenities include a playground, basketball courts, gaga ball and swimming pool. The pool is large and appropriately sized for the size of the resort. We loved how there is a sitting ledge along the outside of the whole pool. Regular activities are scheduled for guests throughout the season. It was the yearly cornhole tournament on our weekend, which was well organized. French fries and fresh corn on the cob were free to all guests during the afternoon of the tournament (both delicious). The staff were all very friendly and helpful! The Manager was always visible not only at the facilities, but regularly driving around the resort checking on things, delivery wood, etc. He would always go out of his way to help a guest. The only minor negative of our stay was the poor WIFI strength. WIFI was good at the main building/pool, but non-existent farther out in the campground. Stony Brook is an amazing RV Resort which we plan to include on our regular rotation of places to camp! Highly Recommend.

All I can say is I've been camping my whole life (49yrs) and have never been to a campground this nice. Small stocked pond to fish, very clean and well kept place, clean good tasting water, showers are equally as nice as the MGM penthouse suite or the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, they have a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen where on holidays and events they cook for the campers, laundry area, then there are the upgraded mini deck sites that come with Adirondack chairs, all sites come with water and electric (probably sewer hook up too but we didn't talk about that). If I didn't own land up here to boondock on, I'd stay here in a heartbeat. You should give it a try!

I was taken aback at the size of the foot print and acrage here. Its HUGE and very hilly. Its very spread out. We came for one night to check it out and it was a Thursday so not much going on, which was expected. The pool was nice and clean, however closed early. There was little to no cell phone signal (AT&T or Verizon) or Wifi which needs to be addressed as it is a safety issue. The overall infrastructure is there but needs some work. There were many old seaonals that looked abandoned and run down and campers that needed to junked. THe store was nice and had a cool lounge area attached. The pavillion was also nice and close to where the bon fires are held. Our RV site was easy to pull into and hookup which was appreciated. The staff were friendly. I would come back but on a weekend to see more people and activities.

Vowed to search for another campground that we can regularly visit and call our summer escape. Fast forward to this year, and we just got home from our 4th visit! This KOA is smaller, but is packed with great service and amenities. My kids love it here, and I love that I can keep an eye on them when they run off to the playground. There are usually events through the weekends to keep everyone entertained. The grounds are also close to the Trexler Nature Preserve and the Appalachian Trail for some good hiking. The only negative: Took one star off because we've noticed that they built up tent pads and gravel "driveways" for the tent sites and smaller vehicle sites. It doesn't give much leeway how you can set up your site. The tent pads are also rock hard and very unforgiving on tent stakes.

This is not what I expect when paying for a KOA. Our pad is gravel mixed with mud. Getting from my truck into the camper is a pain because I have to walk through this muddy gravel mixture. The whole place is in need of loads and loads of new gravel There was a huge puddle beside our site. Once we got unhitched, I didn't want to move, but I am regretting the fact that I didn't at least try to move to a better site if there is one. We made this reservation six months ago and are very disappointed in our site and this campground.

Until it changed ownership. The last time we were there, we were enjoying a family bike ride. We have e-bikes, but they are fully insured and we were wearing helmets, my son was also wearing a helmet safely in his burley bee. The owner decided it was a good idea to question the use of our e-bikes, being uneducated about the use of ebikes, talking about how they don't have insurance to cover e-bikes even though we have our own insurance. Then we decided to give them another shot and booked a trip, paid a good amount of money for a deposit. We had to unfortunately cancel that trip and rebook, and we told them specifically we want to book for Labor Day 2026. Instead of actually having a calendar in front of them doing the booking, they booked us for end of August. As soon I discovered that the dates were wrong, I did try and change it to actual Labor Day weekend but they wanted an extra 100-200 which we would have had no issue with if they had indeed listened and booked us for Labor Day weekend originally. So now due to a family emergency we have to cancel our reservation. And we politely asked to reschedule. Never have I waited two days for a response from any campground in the over 15 years of camping, until this incident. They did respond and said yes of course you can reschedule for later this season. when would you like to reschedule? About 4 hours later they sent me a new email saying "oops sorry we can't reschedule because it was already rescheduled." And then sent the most corporate answer ever, with a copy and paste of their cancellation policy. So that's fine, be like a corporation instead of a family run campground. Just a heads up for anyone who owns e-bikes, and for anyone expecting a family friendly, family run business, this is not the place. I'm very saddened by this as we used to frequent this campground and we really loved it. It pains us that this is how it ends up.
