I visited this shop early on a Saturday morning. I had gotten a tune-up at a bicycle shop in the Greater Boston area in preparation of cycling Vermont Route 100, and picked up my bike on Friday night (the night before I planned to leave). When I brought it home (and after the shop had closed) I found that my bike's chain was making noise in certain gears. I tinkered around with the derailleur to try to fix the problem, but to no avail. I feared that my Vermont trip would have to be cancelled. I decided to try to find a shop in Brattleboro, my planned starting point, and selected this one because it opened the earliest. I visited there early on Saturday, explained the issue, and immediately was introduced to a mechanic (I asked for his name but have since forgotten it, unfortunately). He kindly and patiently explained what he was doing as he went through his evaluation to diagnose the issue, and invited me to stand alongside him to watch and learn. Within minutes, he deduced that the height of the derailleur was incorrectly adjusted by the previous mechanic, causing the chain to rub in high gear. He made the correct adjustment and it worked perfectly. Amazingly, he didn't even want to charge me more than $10, although I insisted on giving him that and then some for his help (and for basically saving my trip). I love cycling, but I know that visiting bicycle shops can be a frustrating process. Many bicycle mechanics seem to delight in making the customer feel ignorant. Here, the mechanic was not only skilled and instructive, but he was completely without pretension. It is a shame that I live more than two hours away from this shop, or it would be my default for repairs. As it turned out, the mechanic's adjustment on a Saturday morning ended up saving my cycling trip, and the bicycle has functioned perfectly since.

However, we found another store nearby and decided to check it out. They were having a sale and were offering discounts on last year's products. We spoke with a gentleman on the second floor who helped us find the right snowboard, bindings, and boots while staying within our budget. We were able to walk away with everything we needed at a reasonable price, and my daughter is very happy with her new gear!

I could see inside that it was being held together by glue, and was probably unsafe to use in the first place. My family was on vacation so we were forced to buy a used pair for my son so that his trip wasn't ruined. When I returned the skis the store refused to refund any of our money, gave me an attitude, and blamed it on my beginner-skier son. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

They even have a policy where if you have issues with the rental-- call them and they will come to you on the mountain to adjust the equipment. Very cool! Also, they allow you to pick up a day earlier (after 3pm) but only charge for days you rent. So if you wish to rent for Friday and Saturday, you can pick it up Thursday afternoon! All rentals must be returned by 5:30PM. We rented 2 days of snowboarding boots & board with bindings. Filled out form online, checked in upon arrival with another form and paid. It was $69 for 2 days of rental. They are currently offering a mid-week deal of $21.99 for minimum of 2 days rentals (not weekends)! Employees were very friendly and helpful. Thanks!!!!

Bill and his staff have always been so helpful in guiding me in my purchases to ensure I get the best equipment for my needs. I am working with Bill right now to purchase a new board from them even though I live in Scottsdale, AZ now. He's been great steering me away from companies that aren't producing great stuff anymore, and introducing me to better options that I will enjoy more. He explained that what I was feeling can be common with new boots, then made a few adjustments that made a huge difference. We came here for the Aerial Adventure Park and the Mountain Coaster and our party of 6 had a great…read moretime with both of these activities. When you drive in to the resort, the Aerial Adventure park is visible right away. When I first saw it, it seemed smaller than I expected and I thought we would be done in a flash. Let me assure you, the aerial adventure course is a LOT more complex than it looks and it was fun and challenging for all of us, from teens to older adults. There are two levels to the course - first you do the lower level and then if you want to try the more challenging higher level you move on to that. Both levels are included in your ticket. Each section of the course is unique: some have zip lines, there are some climbing sections to get from one point to another, some have balance activities, and some rely on strength and ingenuity. Everyone wears a harness, so you are always safe (I did end up dangling a few times and was grateful for the harness!). Staff here is awesome and they train you before you go up into the course. The Mountain Coaster is also fun, although when we went around noon on a summer Friday, we had to wait in line for about 45 minutes to get on. I am a scaredy cat when it comes to roller coasters, but I LOVED the Mountain Coaster, where I go to zip down a mountain surrounded by trees and nature, and I could control the speed. I would love to do this again, but would plan to go earlier in the morning to hopefully avoid the crowds.
