Was getting a combo sub( meatball & sausage, not on the menu). Each time we go, there is a little larger crown, so others are also enjoying. Wait time usually less than 5 minutes and normally seated promptly.

The first waitress was attentive and the second waitress was alright. She lost track of us for a moment but, there was another waitress who was able to refill my drink. We got calamari both times and it was delicious. Both times it wasn't greasy and the marinara sauce was good. The first time it we got just the rings and the second time we requested for tentacles also and got them. That's my favorite part is the tentacles. The crunchy texture is great. Wife got one of their Alla Casa with chicken. She loved it the past and the creamy sauce. The chicken was well cooked. One thing she did wish she had was maybe a slice of lemon to add some acidity. I got their pepperoni pizza extra crispy. I've found that is the way to order it if you do not like floppy pizza. Just the right amount of cheese. Could be a little more pepperoni or even the small cup pepperoni would make it nicer. All in all a good place to come for lunch or dinner. I would recommend this place to anyone.

It was very crowded and we had to wait a little bit longer than our reservation time but that was okay because we sat at the bar and enjoyed some drinks before our dinner. The bartender was great and very friendly. We ordered some Alfredo and stuffed Artichoke wow. We went to Rome two years ago and at at Alfredo's that claim to be the birth place of Alfredo sauce and we loved it. This was just as good. The noodles were delicious and fresh the sauce was very good too. The wife loved her artichoke. For our meal I had the Braciole first time ever and it was fantastic my wife had the veal lasagna and she loved it. The house salads were amazing flavor and we finished with ice cream with amaretto and cool whip and bourbon pecan pie with ice cream. So much food left over. A true Italian restaurant. Atmosphere was loud and friendly and everyone having a great time visiting and enjoying themselves over a great meal . The way it was meant to be. If you are looking for that quiet romantic atmosphere this is not it. If family and great food is what you want then this is a must go to place. This is a quaint little establishment in lovely Lacombe,La. with all the ambiance, delectable smells and impeccable service that you can stand! Everything on the menu is fabulous, but my favorite is the breaded veal with marina sauce and Angel hair pasta! The French bread and butter that they give you is to die for and also, a salad! The other item I have to mention is the crab claws with are fantastic! OK, I have to stop now because I've made myself hungry!

I had the Linguine Del Mar, which comes with a small salad. And it was so yummy! It also looked amazing. I also asked for my water to be put in a wine glass and my waitress was happy to do it. Bread was brought to my table right before my food came out, which I appreciated. The portions are pretty big, so I took the rest of the meal home with me. I ordered a cannoli to go, and didn't expect it to have chocolate drizzled on it but it was a good combination. I'll definitely be returning to Joe's!

Nothing specific, just a lot of little things that kept it from being great. The restaurant was busy, but we got a table with no wait. Our waitress was trying hard but fell short. Watching other servers at the tables around us, I think she was new. Not a huge deal - everybody is a beginner at some point - but it diminishes the overall. The food was good but not great. Perhaps a little pricey, but not extremely so. Some of the old favorite menu items I expected to see were not on the menu, mainly the pasta & sauce & cheese stuff. Baked ziti is a personal favorite, and the only way it was offered was in a combo with other things. No ravioli except the kind stuffed with seafood. The lasagna and spaghetti & meatballs seem tacked on the menu like an afterthought. I didn't see any menu items that I can't get anywhere else. Stiff competition in this category - there are some very good Italian restaurants in Slidell. That said, Joe's definitely has the potential to be a solid 4-stars. It's a new location, maybe it was a bad night, who knows? I will certainly go back and give them another shot, so I recommend them. Go try it and see for yourself.
