We stopped in on Monday to hang out and grab some calzones. Our server was super attentive and friendly. We were a bit disappointed that they were out of wings but we opted for Mozzarella sticks instead. They were huge and loaded with cheese i wish they had a little more flavor but we enjoyed them. Alright, as someone who doesn't LOVE pizza, this place makes me LOVE pizza. Crust is top notch, toppings are fresh and never leave you wanting for more (ie your pizza is fully covered with deliciousness). Drive out of your way for this place, it is worth it, they have made me a pizza fan, dammit. I'm guessing they had a rough opening because I've never had a burnt pizza nor unsavory service. I'm guessing you should give this place a second try because we've never had anything put tastiness and quality food from this place. This pizza here is inconsistent. At best it's about a 7.2 on the Portnoy scale. But a couple of times the pie was overcooked and charred. I don't mind a little char if the dough is done properly and it's not bitter. They must use oil and sugar - that's what makes the char bitter. There is better pizza in Slidell. read more

The inside was clean, spacious ,and well decorated. (I wish I would've took more pictures)... there was a beautiful grinch drawn into the glass and a nicely decorated Christmas tree. The back patio was also beautiful and spacious. I only ordered to go so I'm not entirely sure how the service is inside however when I was told that they would bring my pizza next door I found myself waiting a while. The second time they told me they would bring it over I guess someone forgot & when I went to get it myself my pizza was cold :/ The pizza was great, they give you a pretty decent size. It isn't very doughy or full of bread which was a plus. They also r generous with toppings. Wanted to love this place because the Olde Towne Slidell we stroked through was so charming. However, after reading some of the other reviews that stated this place was hit or miss and it looks like we hit it on a "miss" night. We got the two daily specials that were available by the slice: the White Daily was Chicken and Waffles and the Red Daily was a Hawaiian. We were told they would be ready in about 20 minutes so we popped over to the soda shop and then got back and waited another 15 minutes or so, only to realize that our slices had been sitting on the pickup rack the whole time getting cold. They did take back the Chicken and Waffles to "re-make them", but we think they probably just tossed them back in oven for a minute. This really was a tale of two slices: First up, the more disappointing of the two, was the chicken and waffle slice. It was just completely dried out. The crust was hard and stale and the waffle pieces were rock solid, similar to the texture of a thick waffle ice cream cone. I was also disappointed to find that one of the slices was significantly smaller than the other. I get that when you're cutting a pie, sometimes the slices are uneven, but if you are selling by the slice, it is disappointing to see such a drastic difference when you paid the same amount for both pieces. The Hawaiian was a different story. It was a bit cold from sitting out, but tasted fantastic. I'm not sure what the meat on it was, it wasn't just plain ham, but it was great. The pineapple was sweet and the cherry peppers gave a juicy burst that added the perfect amount of spice. The crust itself was a pretty tough. I can't tell if it had been sitting out or was just a bit over cooked, maybe a combination of the two. The Hawaiian definitely showed promise, I would go back to give it another shot if we weren't just passing through town. Though, I'd probably dine in and get a whole pizza so I could be sure that it was coming out fresh. read more

We ordered from Olde Towne for a pool party and everything we had was absolutely. The spinach and artichoke rolls were to die for. Had to have been someone's grandmothers recipe. I have walked past this spot over the last month or so a couple of times and decided that today was the day - nothing at all about the appearance or location - mostly about me nearing my lifetime limit on pizza. So I rolled the dice anyway. Walked in and like the feel of the place right away - high ceilings, exposed brick from several eras, reclaimed warehouse sort of vibe going on. Friendly staff, Kanani was our server/bartender and she was FANTASTIC! Okay - the food: Garlic Knots as appetizers were off the chain. Maybe my favorite thing. Hot, a little crisp on the outside (as it should be) perfectly cooked on the inside and the right amount of butter and garlic. That with a Blue Moon and. NOLA Blond would have been sufficient. I also got the single slice Daily Bianca (mozzarellas and Parmesan) and the Daily Rosso with Italian Sausage and Creole Tomato sauce and other bits and pieces. Both were very good with the Rosso getting the edge in my book. The Bianca was fine - just needed a little SOMETHING to make it stand out a little more. We have eaten here a few times. Love the environment and the pizzas are definitely delicious. Yesterday we tried deep dish and it was on point. I went here a few weeks ago with some friends and did not have a good experience. The waitress only came to the table 3 times and not once did she refill our drinks/offer to. The food took very long to come out and we only got 2 cheese pizzas. We were there for over an hour and a half and it wasn't even busy. And when the food came out it was cold. All in all it was very expensive and not worth $80 including the 2 appetizers we got. The total came out to 60 but the gratuity was already added on the check making the total $80. read more

Let me say that I visited this place with my two sons and it was excellent. The service was awesome, loved the cold Barq's Root Beer in the bottle. The calzone was probably the best I've ever eaten and I have been all over the country and calzone is my favorite Italian dish. Since they delete any negative reviews/ comments off their Facebook, I'll post here. Olde town pizza advertised for Slidell's Zombie Crawl to come stop by for food and drinks. Made customers wait in a 30 min line to place to go orders, which is fine. But when we finally made it to the front of the line, they decided they were no longer taking food orders. I explained to the employee that it's good customer service to tell new customers at the door (before waiting in line) that they're no longer accepting food orders but still take the customers orders that have been waiting in the 30 minute line. Every restaurant has their strengths and this place is strong in the pizza department (amongst other things.) If you're strictly trying to catch a deal ($8 pizza on Wednesday or single slices) they're great but I recommend buying a whole pizza on a non-Wednesday. That's when they're going to nail it. I Order delivery 90 min before their advertised closing time. 40 min after my order I am notified my order is cancelled and I will be refunded in 5-7 days. So I am the customer. Not bad. Not too bad at all. I like a heavier, thicker pizza, more like a chicago style, I guess, but I can get down on this style as well. I'll usually end up here when I'm cheating on my diet and get a few slices of pep or that carnivore pizza, which has pork belly on it. Let me tell you, this stuff HITS THE SPOT. I've only ever had the pizza, and although it's not my FAVORITE style of pizza, it's still damn good. I've had the cauliflower pizza, too, and it was also nice and tasty. Those slices and a few Ultras are the way to go, though, when you're just looking for a snackypoo to hold you over while you're uh..... hanging out in Old Town. Awesome food and awesome service. The atmosphere was very hipster like, but gave you cool rustic feels. We got the 1/2 of pizza of margherita and carnivore pizza. We also got the cheesiest fried mozzarella cheese stick. The basil and mozzarella on the margherita pizza were so fresh! The carnivore pizza is definitely a meat lover pizza with all kinds of unique meats to enjoy. And let me tell you.. the fried mozzarella cheese stick was the best of them all!
