Based on that information, my husband and I walked to the restaurant with our two dogs after a six-hour road trip and while staying in a hotel. When we arrived, the patio was nearly empty, dirty, and unused. We sat down outside, only to have my husband come back and tell me that we were being refused service because dogs were not allowed. Confused, I immediately called the restaurant again. The employee who answered once again stated that the patio was pet friendly. After I explained what was happening, I was transferred to a manager, who informed me that at his location it was not pet friendly because the patio and restaurant are connected, but only service dogs are permitted.... The issue is not that this location chooses to limit patio access to service animals. Businesses have the right to establish their own policies. The issue is that customers are being given conflicting information. Had we been told the correct policy when we called, we simply would have chosen another restaurant. What made the experience even more frustrating was the attitude we received. There was no attempt to apologize for the misinformation, no effort to offer an alternative solution, and no sense that anyone cared that we had driven there based on information provided by their own staff. Our local Buffalo Wild Wings has always been welcoming, professional, and accommodating. We frequently visit with our dogs and have always had positive experiences. Unfortunately, this location was the exact opposite. If management does not allow dogs on the patio, staff should be properly trained so customers receive accurate information before making the trip.
