    Guinness Stew! Delicious

Somewhat disappointed. I have not been here in a few years. It used to be my favorite place for fish and chips and in particular the Liffey chips. But today, they were not so good. Service was very good, atmosphere is always Irish! Love it for that and will come back again.

Food was delicious! Fresh and so flavorful! Service was great! Our waitress Jordan was attentive, but not overly attentive. Very authentic setup, and relaxed ambiance-they had over 200 different types of whiskey. Bag players graced us with a couple of tunes. I highly recommend stopping in!

Still my number one favorite Irish Pub in ABQ!! I FINALLY had their Irish breakfast and it took me back to Ireland! Oh how I missed the black pudding. The Irish breakfast itself was about $22 and is served on Sundays only! They have their Celtic jam sessions on Sunday so it was a great flashback to my time in Ireland. Irish breakfast. Guinness. Celtic music. Gotta love it. If you've never been to Ireland and want a taste, visit here Sunday mornings. Order the Irish breakfast and chow down. Try the black pudding! It's delicious! I asked for baked beans with my meal to substitute the mushrooms.

As we approached Albuquerque after leaving Santa Fe, I asked Diane to find a good lunch spot on Yelp, and she came up with Two Fools Tavern. We parked our car a block away and walked inside and saw a typical woodsy Irish pub with an impressive-looking long bar and some tables. We then sat soon at a table near the front door. Here I enjoyed some Fries and a hot New York style Rula Bula Ruben Sandwich that was packed with Corned Beef and just the right amount of Sauerkraut, Swiss Cheese, and 1000 Island Dressing. The Rye Bread was also well grilled; the Fries skinny. Diane's Fish & Chips consisted of the same Fries, creamy Coleslaw, and two large pieces of battered Haddock that were well bronzed. They were served on newsprint just like in London. After thinking that all that was missing for me was a pickle, I found one on my plate. Service was excellent, and we really liked the Old World ambiance.

My wife loves chicken pot pie so I brought her here to try theirs. She said it tasted pretty good but she likes the traditional crust better. I had the fish n chips and the fish was big and delicious. I wasn't crazy about the apple slaw that came with it , to me it was a little bland. The pub was very crowded but we got seared pretty quickly. Overall it was a very good experience and we will definitely go back again

Good food, great service, authentic pub ambience- we would definitely come back! FOOD- My husband and I shared the Scotch Eggs (hard boiled eggs wrapped in sausage and breadcrumbs, served with mustard). A bit too tough and bitter for me, but my husband liked them. They're known for their fish & chips, so I ordered a single fillet. It was huge! The tartar sauce really makes the dish - very flavorful. My husband had the cottage pie. He enjoyed it, but he loved his serving of the 15 year old Redbreast Irish whiskey! They have quite the selection. SERVICE- our waitress was amazing! I wish I could remember her name. Very attentive, helpful, and sweet. AMBIANCE- it feels like a legit pub! It's a bit dark, but it's cozy, has a lot of seating, and plenty of TVs to watch games.

Delicious cottage pie and perfect for a cool autumn evening. I love this place for its comfort food, its cozy atmosphere, and the service. Good size portions big enough to eat some and take home some for later. They were busy in a Tuesday evening but it's no surprise because they are that good. Fortunately my husband and I were able to grab two seats at the bar. And the bartender was amazing. Highly recommend for a nice delicious Irish meal.

Service fantastic. The ambiance feels really authentic. The food is okay. Sheppards pie, fish and chips. Guinness is fantastic. It's always busy.

My friend and I came here for dinner one night and boy was it busy! We waited about 20 minutes then got seated. The place is dark so it can be hard to read your menu, some other tables were using their phones flash light to read the menu. Even though it was super busy and packed, our server was friendly and attentive. Their fish and chips is such a huge portion, I couldn't finish half of it! Definitely would go back for them again.

HALF portion of fish and chips

Two Fools came up prominently when Blondie and I were traveling through, looking for an alternative to the fast food we'd been eating for days. The interior was classic Irish Pub, very warm and inviting, but it took a while for someone to notice us. Even though there was a Pleae Wait to be Seated sign, they just waved us to go anywhere. Ok. We ordered chips and salsa to start, and had to return them because WOW that salsa was hot. Couldn't eat it. For dinner I order a half portion of fish and chips, and thank goodness I didn't get the full order. It was huge. I also got a Jameson and Guinness, because I'm a walking Irish stereotype. Blondie got quesadillas, which were excellent. I liked this place a lot, and the couple at the next table struck up a conversation with us (or we did, with them; can't remember).

Sunday Lunch at O'Neil's - Ticket #27…read more Our Sunday lunch at O'Neil's started promisingly but unfortunately fell short on service follow-through. We were seated quickly at 12:05, and our server promptly took our order and brought water, noting that our food would be "out right away." That seemed reasonable, as both items we ordered -- the corned beef and the turkey jack sandwich -- are typically straightforward and quick to prepare. However, the timing unfolded quite differently. By 12:20, one of our glasses was empty, and no straw had been provided despite an earlier request. When the server checked in, I asked again for a water refill and the straw; both were finally delivered, along with another assurance that our food was "coming right out." At 12:30 -- twenty-five minutes after ordering -- the server again repeated that phrase, only this time adding that "some things take longer than others," even though tables seated after us were already eating. Our meals finally arrived at 12:45 -- nearly forty minutes after ordering. To the restaurant's credit, both dishes were excellent: the corned beef was tender and juicy, and the turkey jack sandwich tasted freshly made and served hot. But while the kitchen clearly delivered on quality, the front-of-house experience did not match that same care. The repeated "right away" comments, the lack of proactive attention, and the absence of even a brief apology for the delay made the experience feel inattentive.O'Neil's has great food potential, but stronger time management and more genuine communication from servers would make a world of difference.

Not that a pub doesn't serve food, but it's not a pub and feels more like a heartless corporate pub too. Like an airport lounge. With a patio... a peaceful patio against the street... The stranded bartender alone behind the bar looks to you panicked, as you enter the restaurant area looking past the two and four tops to the bar stools. His frustration is almost palpable as I found a seat. He said something as he presented 3 different menus... wondering why he didn't great me and asked if I was there for dinner or happy hour? One question that would have eliminated his overwhelmed-ness, an provide the guest (me) with a simple choice. Anyhow... I got a beer. A Guinness. And I left after. This is not a pub.

Made a visit back recently with some friends on one of our girls nights out to catch up. The visit was great, and I am glad that we get a chance to get together every month or two. Just not sure we'll pick O'hares again. I ordered a cup of the french onion soup and the sliders from appetizer menu. The french onion soup was good, I can say that. The sliders is a different story. They came with six sliders. That was literally it. Meat and bread. Nothing else. No cheese, no garnish, not even sliced pickles. That alone was $17! I was shocked when I saw the bill! You can typically order a burger with all the fixings and fries for that price or less. Our service was fair. Our server was nice enough and checked in on us. But the food was very underwhelming. I wouldn't recommend them, but you could may have a better experience than me. Just don't order the sliders! Then, to top it off, after ordering dessert, we are chit chatting and finishing our drinks. We slowly start to notice that the servers were grabbing their purses and heading to the front. Apparently they had been closed for almost 30 minutes but no one came to inform us that they were closed for the night! LOL! Silly place.

We kept it simple and got the mac and cheese to share, and it was so dang good! Creamy, rich, and the crispy onions on top were clearly made from scratch. The portion was perfect for the 2 of us. Our expectations weren't super high being a sort of pub food place, but the quality blew us away. Our server was awesome, quick and genuinely kind and personable. You could tell he likes what he does, even being there on his bday. It was super chill inside, and you could tell from the other people at the bar that this is definitely a place where people are regulars and love to see the people who work there. If you are in the area, don't underestimate this place. Also keep an eye on their event calendar if you're local or visiting for a few days, it looks like they host some really fun events. A bit disappointed with that because I just won't drink soda with a fine cigar...its just wrong in every way. So I decided on a medium roast coffee, because they were out of a dark roast, which was made from a Pod and not freshly brewed. The lounge does have a humidor with a variety of cigars. And not that they had a poor or a small selection, but lets just say that I was happy I brought my own. The gentleman who greeted us ( Raul) gave us the run down of the lounge, was polite, informative and professional. Although I wish we had known or was informed of this, but we unknowingly entered an open doored area that was apparently only for its "members" and was asked to exit the area. No big deal. Although my daughter is of the legal age of 21, unfortunately like many businesses in Albuquerque, they wouldn't accept my daughter's vertical drivers license. And I understand NM has their own laws on vertical vs horizontal DL's, but to not accept a US Passport was a bit too much. And trust me, I do understand I was in New Mexico. I maintained my bearing, professionalism and discipline. As a law enforcement officer in a state where the laws are much stricker when it comes to the sale of tobacco and alcohol products or services to a minor, trust me I understand completely.... but to say they don't honor her United States passport?
