I actually didn't work with Outlook Home Inspection personally but one of my recent clients had. I work in solar and frequently receive home reports from clients about their new homes as they are investigating solar so I'm in a position to more inspection reports than the average person who gets one per decade when they buy/sell their home. The report I reviewed was prepared by Mohan and I was extremely impressed with the level of detail, amount of pictures with mockups of arrows, and similar scenarios to really showcase the issue. He clearly took his time to review all the aspects of the home from top to bottom. He really knows his stuff in all aspects which is tough for inspectors because they need to have a near expert level understanding of structural, building code, electrical, HVAC, roofing, siding, etc. Essentially a solid handle on nearly every trade. I've probably reviewed 100 inspection reports over the last 10 years and none of them left me compelled to write a review but I wanted to offer my perspective as someone who sees the wide range of quality in the final reports. The only thing that I can't speak to is pricing/value because again, I didn't pay for the service but I will say that this level of detail is worth a significant premium over the market rate to ensure you understand what is going on with your real estate investments. read more

Mohan was able to do a home inspection for us on short notice. He was very thorough, and able to explain everything in terms that I could easily understand. He's very knowledgable yet easy to talk to. He gave me confidence in understanding all the details of my future home. He also took the time to point out important elements of the home, for example he showed me where the main water shut off is, where controls for the irrigation system are, and other helpful items that I might have struggled to find otherwise. His documented report is extremely thorough and something I expect to be referencing for years to come as I work through improvements and repairs needed on the home. Also, it's important to keep in mind that this inspection was done during the Covid-19 outbreak. I was very impressed with how Mohan has adapted to the times. He's seemingly added to his workload by doing a thorough review of a section of the home on his own, then bringing everyone in to cover his findings, this made it so that we could all stay a safe distance apart during the inspection. He made sure to wear a mask at all times, and he always maintained a distance where he could effectively communicate and show me everything I needed to see but without making me feel uncomfortable. read more

Very impressed with Mohan and Outlook Home Inspection. Mohan showed up 15-20 minutes ahead of the scheduled time as he anticipated and jumped right into the inspection. We already had knowledge of a few home items not meeting code, which seller was in process of re-permitting and fixing; Mohan was able to identify some related items that could be updated as best practice we then added to the construction plan. He provided some additional action items I had missed in my initial walk-through and even some direction on how to address them. He was very friendly and made sure to walk me through all of the items in person. In terms of efficiency, I received the completed report just before midnight of the same day and reviewed with a license contractor the following day. My contractor reviewing the report was also impressed by details and suggestions in comparison with his past experiences. Mohan is not the cheapest, but completely worth the extra cost for piece of mind. read more

I can't say enough about Mohan's expertise, professionalism, and personal charm. I never imagined that getting our new home inspected would be my favorite event of the spring, but I seriously could have followed Mohan around for hours just listening to him explain what makes a house work. The inspection process with Mohan was a great experience. In my first conversation with him, he was extremely friendly and told me that he insisted on educating his clients, and I was sold. When I arrived for the inspection, he had already completed his assessment of the exterior, and walked around the property with me, making sure that I understood how he was evaluating the building and why he was making the comments and recommendations that would appear on the report. He evaluated every part of the interior that we had access to, and had his report to me that evening. The report was extremely thorough, including not only a well-documented list of his critiques, but also photos showing main water shutoffs, electrical panels, etc., all purely for my own information. We were extremely happy with our home inspection with Mohan from Outlook Home Inspection. He was flexible and able to squeeze us in last minute to perform a home inspection and set up a radon test. We arrived 15 minutes early and Mohan was already at the house and had made a few laps around the house to get some initial thoughts on the exterior. Mohan took us around the property and pointed out all the things he was seeing, both the good and the bad. He also spent time to going over all the systems so we knew how they worked and what to look for if there is ever a problem. Excellent - beyond our expectations. Mohan was recommended to us by our realtors and provided us with an extremely useful inspection on quite short notice, followed up by a clear and full report in a remarkably short space of time - with lots of photos of the property that made it much easier to recall the details after the fact. Mohan came earlier than the appointment and was ready to explain about the exterior to me. I saw how he examined the home and I liked his meticulous work. He encouraged questions. I'm a first-time home buyer and learned a lot from his detailed explanations. I got the report the same night. His report is really easy to read with plenty of photos. Some are in colors if they are must to be read. It was in a PDF file, so it was easy to share with my agent and the seller as a proof. I had an extra question after the report was done, and he asked around to other professionals to give me the best answer he can get. I truly recommend him. Mohan was very professional and friendly. We bought our home in the Spring of 2019. Mohan was very thorough and sent a highly organized and specific report after the inspection.
