It was refreshing to be able to go in and describe what I was dealing with and have him propose different things but not try to sell me the most expensive stuff. First let me say the work they did in the installation of a smart radio was amazing. I actually returned to have auto-start installed the next day. Let me first state that it really who you get for sales and installation that makes the different. The quality of work and cost was very reasonable and would recommend them again. They do not honor their GUARANTEED INSTALLATION!! I spent 1,500 dollars here two weeks ago, and another 500 dollars several months ago. New alarm is not turning on parking lights when alarm is activated or in remote start. Was told today that the problem would be fixed no charge, until the owner decided that he was going to try and gouge me for more money to do wiring to correct the parking lights issue. Compustar states that lights are to come on when in these modes, and I can not even tell when I arm the alarm and if my car is running in auto start like it SHOULD BE...But, alas, the owner here just wanted to get a few more bucks off of me!! Also, before I went here today, I lost all bass, and once they installed a new cable to the new sub, the problem went away and I have bass again. First upgrade I did here was just a simple bass package for 190 dollars which did not work because the amp was too small for one 12 and kept going into protection mode. Why sell an amp that is going to do this? I spent over 500 dollars here on that upgrade (which I will provide a receipt of here once I dig it out of storage) The 17th of November I did a huge upgrade of 1,500, and as of today, when I tried to get a couple of things fixed that is GUARANTEED, I'm first told that I wouldn't be charged for the repair, and then about an hour later, I am told I have to spend more money to get something fixed that has never been right to begin with...Really? I have provided the receipt from the 17th here, and once again will upload the earlier one when I can get to it. So, in short, I have spent a total of around 2k with this business all to be told that they are going to try and charge me MORE money to make things work the way that they are DESIGNED to, and their "guarantee" isn't worth the paper it's written on. On another note, I was promised a shirt on the 17th as well as my free back up camera that i was SUPPOSED to get anyway when I bought my new deck, and did not receive either. Once I asked about it today after trying to be gouged AGAIN, I'm told to come on back in and get my shirt. WOULDN'T WEAR IT IF THEY PAYED ME TO NOW!!!! I asked if they had a person that could work with an air cooled engine and was told they had a person who was an expert. After less than two months using the stereo, the amplifier was destroyed. I now have to have the engine pulled to replace the alternator to accommodate the stereo. A person familiar with air cooled engines would know this needed to be done. Any stereo installer should have a handle on what is needed when installing a high dollar stereo. I wasted thousands of dollars for a stereo which will not work in the car. Took my new truck in to get my amp hooked to the stereo .they told me my stereo cant be hooked to it so i had to buy a new one.5 hours later i go to get my truck n i have this humming noise they told me it was cause i had a cheap amp .i paid goid money for the amp .so now im out over 1000 bucks yes it cost 1000 to switch stereos n hook up an amp.i have to take my truck into another shop to get the ground wire better situated. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! In Summer 2018, I initially got a subwoofer and dynamat installed into my vehicle. The subwoofer was everything I wanted and I left as a happy customer and very pleased. Over time, my backseat carpet was damp and my windshield was building condensation. I thought it was just Oregon and it's never ending rain creeping its way through the door whenever I'd get inside/outside of the vehicle. I would wipe it, clean it, vacuum, and try to get rid of the damp carpet. Fast forward to Fall 2020, there was a mild mildew smell, little patches of mold existing and I could not determine how this was happening. Into the new year 2021, I decided to get it checked and took it to the dealership. They ripped up the carpet, found standing water, did a pressure leak test and found there was a leak where the subwoofer and dynamat was installed. This was a costly diagnosis/cleaning/reinstallation of NEW carpets. When installed, the rear cabin vent was REMOVED and replaced with a piece of plastic that had a crack where water was finding its way inside the vehicle. I got in contact with DOUG (2 1/2 years after the installation) and was surprised how understanding they were with the situation. Doug directly got in contact with the dealership and was willing to take care of the whole bill. THE WHOLE BILL. The financial strain of paying the dealership bill was uplifted and I thank Doug and the whole team of Outrageous Audio for taking care of the bill. He also informed me that the guy that installed it no longer works there. Yes, we are all humans and we make mistakes but their courtesy they had show to me and professionalism for owning up to their mistakes gained my respect. I also noticed you didn't address the issue of your employee failing to stop the charging of my credit card and then trying to blame it on me for not canceling the appointment. It is a continuous problem which the company allows. Because most companies when they get complaints don't lie and cover for their employees behavior. So far I have purchased two Compustar alarms from these guys and I am impressed with the quality of the equipment. The first system I installed in my Duramax along with a Kenwood head unit with a GM/bose interface and a couple kicker subs. It was such an elaborate install I thought it would be worth my time to do the install myself since I was an installer for 10 years in my younger days. I needed a little help programming the interface and these guys were there when I needed them all at no charge. The system works perfect and sounds fantastic! Recently I purchased a new service truck that's on the road every day and will be stocked with lots of tools that I'd like to keep so Compustar was my go to choice. It's add on features are endless. The engineers put some serious thought into their product. So far everything I've wished for has been available with ease of operation that most anyone can understand. Simple two car operation, paging remote with a 3 mile range, alarm status on the remote, GPS tracking so my employee doesn't have to worry about mileage logs, what more could you ask for?
