Their American offerings shouldn't be overlooked - they have a lot of mini pastries, sweet breads, rolls, and traditional cakes as well. I love their sheet cakes - the sponge is so airy, and you can choose from a large variety of creams, custards, and fruit as filling. Usually I'll opt for whipped cream frosting because it makes the cake super light. Besides the cakes, you really can't go wrong with anything Sal & Dom's offers; they have some of the best cannoli and rainbow cookies I've ever had, and during the holidays they serve up a mean cuccidati.
