When questioning exact cost for service, you will be handed a multi page estimate that includes multiple price scenarios, their ambiguity will than be blamed on "your insurance company". Patients may never get an accurate cost for suggested dental work, with no recourse as the staff changes so often. "I don't know why you were told that, as that person doesn't work here anymore " Think of a famous ski resort in western Colorado...

Could they seriously believe I would consider continuing my dental care with Sumter Dental? Even after having been a continuous, loyal client for years since moving to FL. AND, I've paid unquestionably whatever fees they've requested. However, I do have copious records that Sumter Dental and Ameritus Dental Insurance, Lincoln, Nebraska have not paid what is owed to me. She's extremely gentle and was so concerned about my well-being during my scaling. She made is less painful than it had to be and I will go to her every time I go back. I met the doctor...he explained the scaling procedure and asked what my concerns were, if any. He listened and gave me suggestions and was also gentle in his explanations. The office is always willing to work with you if you are forthcoming with any concerns or fears you may have. I recommended them to all of my family and now they are going to visit real soon.

My extraction was just unreal - honestly, I did not even realize she had pulled the tooth, which was a second molar on the top. She gave me novocaine because she didn't anticipate any issues and explained with general anesthesia it would cost a lot more. I'm grateful for her honesty. On top of the painless extraction I had minimal bleeding (I mean, I did not even need any gauze beyond the piece they had put in my mouth after the extraction!). I also had four implants done by Dr. Overbeck with little to no discomfort AT ALL and again, minimal bleeding beyond the surgical procedure. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking oral surgery treatment. There is another female oral surgeon in this county who is barbaric, by the way. I won't post her name here, but trust me -- stick with Dr. Overbeck!!
