On the Antiques Alley (informally: Little Round Top) beat, a great community spot on Hillsboro's main square in the historic Bond's Alley building. Friendly staff offering a wide variety of coffee, tea, and other adult bevvies to entertain in private nooks or reading corners, ice cream for the kiddos and local art for all ages. It's a small town gem!

Stopped in for a coffee and ended up waiting at the register for way too long. The gentleman making the coffee was quick and efficient. The Young lady working the register was on turtle time. Please do better most people are in a hurry!

Very cute coffee shop inside a historical building. Parking was a little challenging. The space was charming and had little vendors amongst the bookshelves. The baristas were helpful and welcoming. I ordered a peppermint mocha to go. The cup was so Christmassy and cute! And the drink was a great balance of peppermint and chocolate. A great find while passing though!

Stopped in because it was hot out and I was thirsty. They have a variety of coffees and teas. I ordered an iced peach tea. The ladies behind the counter greated us and were very kind. The art in the wall is awesomely amazing drawn/photographed by locals and for sale. The music is contemporary Christian..everyone needs Jesus:) The seating comfortable and spacing is just right. The tea was excellent...love this place!

Spilling Bee, Palmetto Grilled Cheese, and Tomato Basil Soup. Delicious!

Phenomenal service. The food is as if your best friend's mom cooked it. Stace and Scott are lovely people who care about their community and they find ways to give back through showcasing local art and entrepreneurs' products in their cafe, and deliver high quality food and service.

    They have their own coffee!

There is something different about this Braum's…read more After 35 years in the metroplex, I'm very familiar with Braum's as a restaurant and a grocery spot. We love Braum's milk for its flavor (exactly the same after the A2 switch, btw!) and improved nutrient profile. We love being able to run in and grab a couple of essentials from the grocery section (although we miss when they used to hand you milk gallons out of the drive-through window--ancient history, right?!). We enjoy the burgers and the thick crinkle-cut fries, and we adore the ice cream, which is the absolute best bang for your buck in addition to being excellent. But one thing we have never, ever loved about Braum's is the service. Typically, Braum's hires a bunch of teens and older folks who seem like they'd rather be anywhere else. I have considered shoplifting gallons of milk before for the way I've been ignored standing at the checkout for minutes and minutes. If they would team up with Chick-fil-A for employee training, they could run the ice cream world. But there's something different about this location! The people who served our family were HAPPY. They SMILED. They got our orders right and they seemed genuinely happy to have us there. I came back to the counter after we got our food and was immediately tended to cheerfully, then while I waited another employee asked if I had been helped. I was almost speechless. This is far and away the best service I have ever had at a Braum's. Not only did I jump on Yelp and drop a five-star rating asap, but I also spoke to the shift leader to tell him what a good thing they have going here. I'm so glad for the chance to say something positive about our family favorite burger joint! Other Braum's locations should take notes!

We came in about 5:45 on Tuesday before New Years, and the place was basically bare. I was concerned. Went immediately to use the restroom, which was nostalgically decorated and clean as a whistle. The waitress was at the table taking to my husband when I got done, and my tea was already there, waiting for me, when I arrived. Now...the food: I got the chicken fried steak and hubby got fried catfish. Both were so clean and fresh I thought they'd been air fried! By the time the food arrived, dinner time must've hit, because as I write this from my table, the place is absolutely packed full of patrons. I didn't take a photo of my dinner, because I was busy enjoying it. However, I was able to get a quick snapshot of the husband's fish before he downed the last few bites. It wasn't until we were sitting at their window that we realized we left the cake I make her, at home 1.5 hours away. The reason I even realized it was I was looking at your building and thought, "oooo ice cream would go great with her ca- - ke" ‍ I almost cried, I spent half a of Saturday making it, but then I remembered watching TikTok's where a kid makes DQ ice cream cakes! So as soon as we got our fajitas I zoomed over to you guys! Y'all even had the Reece's Peanutbutter cake, which is her favorite candy. To top it off, the staff member running the register, and apparently the entire front of store had a nincompoop that paid with a big bill, for a single order, and the poor staff member had to deal with that. She never looked stressed, even after other people came in. She was friendly to her, the next customer and me, turns out she had worked a double on Saturday, and was back on Sunday with a smile on her face and a great attitude. Mom LOVED the ice cream cake, and shared that in her 83 years, she'd never had ice cream cake before, it's just the two of them so after we ate I sliced the cake up and we put it in the freezer, once it's frozen solid she's going to put each slice in zip bags, or plastic wrap so they can grab a piece when ever they want. Thanks for saving mama's birthday, you definitely earned a new cake lover!
