We had a garage door emergency today, a holiday weekend. It was badly damaged, off the track ... it was ugly. I called other 24 hour repair places and they either did not pick up, or answered the phone and were vague and had zero customer service skills. I needed the door to at least close (neighbors and family said no way it would close, the damage was too bad), and no one would take the time to talk about the damage and whether I could get the door to close for the night, at a minimum. Best time I could get someone here was 7 pm. Ugh. Then we happened to find ODS, and Mike answered right away, and was at the house within a hour or less. He was so nice, and super friendly, and assured me right away that he would not leave me with the door open, period, that he would get it down at a minimum, and see what he could do to fix the damage. He took the time to explain to me what he was going to try to do, and what I could expect, and put me totally at ease. Back in April 2017, the coil for our garage door got loose and caused a mess of our garage door. I really wish I had thought to take a picture because it was bent and completely out of alignment. We thought we were going to have to replace the whole system and pay through the nose. We decided to call Overhead Door Solutions because of all the good reviews and the before and after photos hoping we could get it fixed rather than replaced. I'm really glad we went with them because the guy came out to our house the same day, and fixed our garage door in about 30 minutes! He showed me exactly what the problem was and explained what we could do to avoid the problem in the future. He seemed very knowledgeable and professional and he didn't try to get me to do something that wasn't needed. And to top it off, the price of the repair was very reasonable from what I was expecting. I called this company after reading the reviews on Yelp. It was on Saturday 11/22/12. It was Thanksgiving weekend. Mike answered the phone. He was so very friendly and said that he was working and could come out that very day. I was amazed to find someone that would come on that day. He came and gave me his estimate. I said that was fine. He did the job and then to his surprise the garage door opener needed to be reattached. He did that as well. He included that with no additional cost. The tension spring on my garage door snapped in two at 4p yesterday. I found Overhead Door Solutions 5 star reviews on Yelp and gave them a call. I left a message and Mike called me back within 10 minutes. I texted him my address and he was here shortly after another job he had. He was kind, straightforward and positive. He quoted me $220 to replace my one broken tension spring with two so that I wouldn't have this issue again in the future. The job took him less than 30 minutes to complete. As all of you reading this know that when something in our house breaks or stops working, it becomes a nightmare, and can not be replaced or repaired fast enough. I have rental properties and a few months ago the garage door opening mechanizism Failed to operate. After calling several door repair services that could not schedule me for a couple of days, I called Overhead Door Solutions and talked to Mike, after hearing my predicament, he advised me that he was actually only a mile or two away and could be there within the hour. After checking only a few minutes he found the problem which was a loose screw and loose wire. Mike was smiling and went about his work as though he enjoyed not only working on the door but the fact that he had removed a speed from my life. When it rains it pours, my other rental also experienced a garage door mishap and would not close. Remembering Mike I called him and apologized for calling on a Sunday. He asked what the problem was, then said he would come out and see what the problem was. He said that the motor needed to be replaced and that it would have to go to the warehouse on Monday to get and should be able to repair it Tuesday. Afterwards Mike closed the door manually. True to his word, he called me on Monday and advised me that he had the new motor and would be out Tuesday to repair. I advise anyone that requires work on their garage door, it would be in your best interest to give Mike at ODS a call. He said that he also repairs manual operated doors. read more

This is a late review. I had a broken coil spring some weekend. I called several garage door guys but all cannot come until monday but i really needed my garage door opened because all my cars were inside.
