The technician did the job and gave me three months of guarantee on the labor and equipment. A few days after, I noticed that one of my control remotes was not working properly. I called the company and the owner blamed the battery and the weather. So, I changed the battery but the issue persisted. I called this company today and the owner gave me the same excuses. I just told him that I need a new remote control. He said he would send a technician out but IF the remote control is working I would have to pay for "the visit". I said it was fine because the remote control is not working properly. When the technician arrived he just saw the remote control and told me it had water in it and that I was not careful with it. I said: WHAT? HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY KNOW THAT? He opened the remote control and immediately went to his vehicle. After 5 minutes came back just to tell me that the remote control is fine. He pressed it several times but did not work. Later, it started to work and I told him that I want a new remote control because it is not working well. He said he fixed it. However, when I asked him if the remote control keeps giving me issues I will call the company again, he said: he would never be back after today. Then, he said he could give me a new one but I had to pay $150 to get it replaced. I said no, I have a guarantee of 3 months and it is covered by the guarantee. He said the guarantee only covered the motor, which was a lie because the receipt says otherwise. Then I told him I paid for those remote controls also. He tried to convince me I did not pay for them arguing that the motor and keypad already come with 2 remote controls: I told him, I am just realizing you STOLE my money because you charged me separately for those remote control. I called the owner. And after 5 minutes of waiting for him, I explained to him the situation and that I wanted a new remote control. He said he will call the technician. He, then, called the technician and started to speak in Arabic (I believe they are from Palestine) so I could not understand what they say at all. Then, the owner told me that the technician already explained to him the remote control is fine and I will have to pay $75 for his visit. I just told him, I will let everybody know that he is running a scam business and are stealing money from people who trust in them with good faith. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I got a call and the tech said he would be there between 12:00 and 2:00 pm. At 1:30 another guy called and said he would arrive between 2:00 and 4:00pm. I told him that someone else already had called and he said that was ok. I went out to the garage and started messing with the door thinking I could fix it myself self and that was a waste of time. While I was in the garage another guy called and said he could come and fix the door and would stop between 3:00 and 5:00 pm. I said wait a minute, 2 other guys already called me and said they were coming to fix my door, he said that's Ok. I asked him what he was go to charge me. He said only $29.00 service fee plus labor and parts. I asked him what he was going to do. He said he was going to take off the torsion springs and grease the pulleys and inspect the cables and replace if necessary. Also readjust the door tracks. Around a 2 hour job. He told me all this without even looking at my door. I said Don't come here to my house I want to cancel all appointments. Call your company and tell them not to send anyone to my address! I then called the number of Victory Garage Doors, a company in West Deptford NJ several miles away. James answered the phone: (now it's 3:35pm Sunday afternoon) he said I am grocery shopping right now are you near West Deptford? I said yes. He said I can be there between 5:00 and 5:30 pm. I said I'll see you then. At 5:15 pm on a Sunday James arrived. I sat on a chair in the garage and James immediately went to work on the door. He released tension on the torsion springs and reset the cables on the spools. Put tension back on the springs. He worked methodically and with precision. He adjusted the tracks and added a little more tension to the door load. He said that would make the door glide smoother and not be so jerky going up and down and he was right. My door runs smoother and quieter than it ever did. When I looked at my watch, he had did all this and it was 5:46 pm. He even adjusted the sensors and sprayed the springs with lubricant.
