I brought my 2016 rad mini ebike in for a tune up after 2 years of having Abused it and left it outside in the elements. Shane, the bike repairman, not only tuned it up but fixed a few things I didn't even realize had been impeding my bike's performance and i received a bike back that was running and riding better than when it was brand new. Billy, the owner, is extremely personable and helpful. Great communication. I've had several of my families bikes serviced in different local ulster county bike shops and I've never been satisfied with the work. I liked this bike before ... now I love it. I bought my bike online and it showed up missing parts and unusable. I did not realize this until I attempted to ride for the first time. Went directly from the trailhead to Overlook Mountain Bikes. The store was buzzing with customers but I was quickly welcomed and taken care of. The guys at Overlook were promptly able to diagnose and fix my issues. I fully expected to have to leave the bike and come back a week or two later, but I was able to take my new bike for its inaugural ride only a few hours later than scheduled. Billy and his crew are wonderful. Had a bike catastrophe while in the Thruway going to a rail trail in Hudson Vally, yes the Hudson Valley Rail Trail. Bike came off the rack. Picked it up and thank you no one got hurt. Billy looked at the bike and was able to fix it. True up the wheels and new seat. Billy took great care of my wife and I. Salvaged our vacation. Quite simply, if you are considering renting a bike in Woodstock, you have to go to Overlook Mountain Bikes. I can't recommend them highly enough. The staff is without compare. Billy was like an old friend after only a few minutes, and hooked us up with a pair of fantastic bikes along with all the necessary accessories. Not only that, he gave us great recommendations for food, a map with some great biking routes, and an overall wonderful experience. Being our first stop in Woodstock, the staff here set the mood for what turned out to be a wonderful weekend. I live locally and have been riding the trails, parks and roads in the area for many a-year. I finally found my way up to Overlook Mountain bikes after mixed results with the other local shops (SHOP LOCAL). Anyway, I recently had one of my bikes serviced there and Bryan did a wonderful job of making mindful and cost effective recommendations for tuning and replacing only what was needed to keep my old ride rolling. OMB exceeded my expectations! Later, when looking for a new ride I traveled far and wide once again, after visiting several other local shops looking for my next ride I found myself back at OMB and again Bryan hooked me up with the perfect ride. My new KONA was just right in every way, affordable, fast, stylish and multi-dimentional in-terms of the many riding surfaces that I contend with on my daily rides. From riding the roads at the Ashokan, the railtrails in the valley to the carriage trails on the Gunk ridge and the roads in between my Kona rocks it all. I'm not too interested in mountain biking, but I was in here over the summer and they had some really interesting bikes in stock. The second I walked in someone was asking me if I needed help, and the guys who work here are really cool. I just feel like this store's in a lousy location, and needs to be somewhere where more people who aren't yuppies interested in Woodstock's boring pseudo-hippie culture will notice it. Was recommended to go to this shop looking for a road bike by a friend The staff was super helpful and answered all of my questions patiently. They worked within my price range and did their best to get me the best bike for my buck. Ended up with a Scott S25 speedster. Finally have a bike that fits me.
