He's an ASE Cert Master Mechanic and has owned and operated his business for over 30 years. He's serviced all 3 of my vehicles, including my family and friend's cars too. His work is thorough and precise, and his prices are fair and usually better than other businesses. You definitely get more than you pay for, which is uncommon for any business. Most places just make the minimum repairs and then up-sell and pressure you to spend unnecessary amounts of money to fix additional things you don't really need. Whether I needed a major repair or an oil change, Robert has always done a complete inspection of my car to look for any additional issues while he had access to it. Let me tell you, if he mentions you need something done, then do it! If it's something that eventually needs attention, he'll be HONEST and tell you that you can wait until next time. We had our U-Haul reservation booked well over a month and the woman working there decided to tell us when we were picking up our truck and equipment that none of the hand trucks are there. She could've called at any point in the last couple of days to give us a heads up to see if we could get a new reservation anywhere else. Her attitude about it was unprofessional and rude. no wonder this company has a 1.4 star review rating. i left my car there 2 months agai and would ask for updates regularly. i was told it was being worked on. fast forward twoa months and I'm told that the owner has adnacncedworki sons and was never able to look at my car ( which is fine and I feel for him). but why was I given fake progress updates? was then told I would be helped to sell the car, was given leads numbers and such, before being told nobody was ever helping me sell my car. they are sketchy people. stay away from them. i am currently looking into an attorney to ensure they cover my towing expenses. read more

As a person in business I understand you can't please everybody even if you do your job perfectly. Upon reading the reviews I was extremely leery about dropping off my Jeep for an emergency repair. Some person clearly had an issue with the owner and decided to voice it online. My experience was beyond all expectations. The owner and his daughter were extremely responsive, contacted me multiple times per day to keep me aware of progress. The prices were extremely fair. He even snuck my car in between appointments because of the emergency situation. Very friendly, engaging, and competent staff. I highly recommend their service, and will be going back should I need an auto repair project. It's very difficult to find somebody honest that will take care of cars. I brought my daughters jeep in because it was making noises. The owner and his daughter are so kind they took time with the jeep and they even checked it overnight. Even though they found nothing wrong with it they made sure we were taken care of and made sure that she had a safe car to drive. I felt very well valued as a customer. Very dishonest owner. I called last week for a quote for labor to install my hitch since I have already bought the parts and he told me it cost 50 if the instructions saying installation takes less than half an hour and will cost 100 if it takes more. I went two days later and after he did the work, he tried to charge me $286 with my own parts. Also during the time they were installing the hitch, they broke my screws on my car and replaced with a used and old one. Very unprofessional! I am the victim of a deliberate "bait and switch". I was promised on 2/21 (in written estimate signed by the owner) the replacement of 2 front struts for my Lexus, NAPA Proformance (Monroe) struts, and an AISEN Timing Belt assy signed off by the owner, Henry Wilken. He guaranteed me the parts were in stock and available. Dropped the car off the next day, and his shop installed (without notification) Master Pro struts instead which are of extremely inferior quality. After noticing how rough the car was riding, I called and talked to Henry and he said it might take time for adjustment, and that we should take a test drive even though he wouldn't be familiar as to how the car rode the day before. I referred to the bill/receipt and it identifies the struts as Bilstein, but a visual of the parts installed match MasterPro p/n 34LX1102 & 1105. On 5/26/22, I called the shop and spoke with Henry and questioned the substitution of parts without notification, and he became VERY nasty and belligerent calling me stupid and I didn't know what I was talking about, and worse things. He said it was "his right" to replace parts with "comparable parts" which these are not. I didn't raise my voice to him, merely questioned the bill. I cannot take my car back to him now for ANY further work as I no longer trust him with my car after his berating me on the phone. He also overcharged me for the Timing Belt assy, labeled on the bill as AISEN A5001-445552 for $308. AISEN doesn't have that part #, but, I called the local O'Reily store and they found it matched their part # 20393K in stock for $169.99. I sent Henry 4 emails between 5/15 and 6/5 to 3 different email addresses (one verified by calling their office) all were ignored. Then, sent a certified letter on 8/22/22, which the card came back "unsigned". Sent another on 9/6 and card came back signed by "agent". I have given him plenty of time to do the honorable thing to address this situation, but it seems he would rather "avoid" it altogether. read more

I went to Robert to support a veteran/mom and pop local business. I have family & friends that are veterans. I found Robert to be dishonest and incompetent. He put myself/family and local Boy Scout kids in danger when he wrongfully used wires to fix an AC issue. I left my vehicle with him for 2 days. I paid him $425 in cash & the issue was not fixed. He requested an additional $1,000 up front to fix it properly. After receiving my vehicle I told him that he needed to fix it right & he refused & insisted that it was fixed. When I met the manager the following day to pick up my paper work she gave me various excuses why he couldn't fix it right and told me he can fix it if I paid $1,000 extra. I left & went to another mechanic & upon inspection they found wires he used to bypass fixing it correctly. The mechanics told me that he put my family in danger with the wires. They also told me that with the experience that he claims he has it should have been an easy fix. I then called the manufacturing comp. of the wires he used and they told me the same thing. The wires he used are not made for automotive use. They pose a danger and can catch on fire. The mechanic at the 2nd shop correctly fixed the issue in 20minutes & it cost me $128 for labor & part not $1,000 that Robert requested. I recently noticed that a similar incident happen to Lisa Hart in our community as posted below. I regret not taking him to court. I will be reporting him to the State. I only hope that anyone considering to get their car fixed at Oviedo Auto Repair do some online research before hiring him. I added pictures of proof but somehow they don't show. He claims every negative review is fake. What he did to Lisa is not fake. How he responses to criticism and failure to do the job right does not help him in anyway. Any sensible person can see it! This rating would be given a zero if permitted by yelp. I used Oviedo Auto Repair in order to rent a Uhual for a day. When I went to pick-up the rental I was assisted by a female worker. You instantly could tell that she was not the most friendliest of people. She was quite rude to myself and another customer and did nothing but complain about several Uhual customers that had been there earlier that morning and how it wasn't her priority to attend them. I ended up renting a truck and a furniture dolly. I returned the truck and took photos of the returned equipment as well as after photos with time and date stamps on the photo, as I understand the importance of documentation especially when you are dealing with unprofessional individuals such as individuals who own this auto repair shop. The following Monday I received two missed calls from store and a voicemail from the shop stating that I needed to return the equipment and that I would be charged for same if I did not return. I returned the call at 9:45 pm once I got out of work and left a voicemail requesting a return call. No return call was received. I called the next morning and the first thing that comes out is how dare I contact him at 2:00 am and that it better be important. No call was ever made at that time. I attempted to explain my rebuttal has I had been charged for several items that had not been rented. He told me to wait on the phone and that it would be a while since he needed to take care of his auto repair customers first and then handle Uhual customers who are given a second class treatment. He had me wait on the phone for a period of time and then told me that he was going to call me back, because he just had four customers walk-in. I asked him when there was a good time to call him in order to address this issue and then the gentlemen stated, "There is never a good time for you to call me." He then said that he would call me back on his time. I later received a call from him and thaw first thing that comes out of his mouth is "Contract Number?" in a rude tone of voice. I provided him with the requested information and proceeded to tell him my issue with the false charges from the rental. He then advised that he could not help me. I advised him that I had photos and that my original receipt that did not mention anything in regards to the rental equipment provided in the statement of charges once I had completed the rental trip. This is definitely not a professional place to go to. There are several other automobile repair shops and uhual rental places that will treat you with respect and be courteous as one should be when they run their own business. I don't understand how this unprofessional business owner can continue to incorporate Uhual into his business as he can't even run his own business. Place looks like a dump and you can tell that he doesn't get much business from auto repair. I'm sure his competency level is less of that than the your average incompetent individual. Just do away with Uhual if your so miserable. They won't miss you, I'm sure of it. They have plenty of third-party businesses that operate with professional standards. Absolutely the worst customer service ever, I rented a large U-Haul on Friday and returned it on Saturday, I left my house keys in the U-Haul and called them Saturday evening. I called Saturday evening expecting to leave a message, the owner answered the phone and was very rude, and was very unreceptive to helping me that evening. Worst service I've ever experienced. Rented a U-Haul trailer in another part of Florida, with the designated return location of Oviedo Auto Repair. I pull into the parking lot, and a surly man wearing a Dixie flag bandana, forces me to test all of the lights on the trailer. When I mentioned that I had never had a U-Haul dealership test the lights on a trailer when I was TURNING IT IN, he suddenly said "I don't have any room--take it somewhere else'--and walked away from me. Not only did he admit that he did not fix it 100% (see text) he charged me full price, and when I took the car to a reputable mechanic he had apparently added wiring to bypass electrical systems in attempt to "trick" the a/c system to work, putting the whole computer at risk! I was very disappointed in this business, felt with them being here so long they would be able to fix my problem professionally. They listened to my issue with my dash board and said they could try a few things to fix it. I left my car for the whole day and when I picked it up was informed they used gorilla glue and felt sure it would hold. The very next day it popped back up so I called and the owner said he would get back to me and I didn't hear from him. I just feel that he should of offered to refund part of my money because I am out the bucks and the issue still isn't resolved.
