I took the vehicle to Mahoney's for a second opinion and the leak was not nearly as significant as the dealer told me. Since then, I take all my family's vehicles to Mahoney's. They are reliable, do quality work for a fair price, and I've never felt they were trying to upsell unnecessary work. It's great to have a repair shop you can trust! read more

I came in and asked if they could check my car to see what was wrong with it, and word for word what they told me was "you have the money, go to another dealership, we don't want to touch your car." My car was basically out of commission, I couldn't bring it anywhere else, and they refused to look at my car, I luckily called another place and even the person over the phone was confused as to why they were refusing to look at my car, idk it's just kinda annoying when you're looking for help and they refused to look at it because they didn't want Toyota to blame them for anything, i was looking for help Immediately, and they just sat in the office and told me to go somewhere else, if I were you, id just go somewhere else at that point. read more

I unfortunately did not have the squeaky clean experience here that others seemed to have which is unfortunate. I set up an appointment for a diagnostic because my car has been making this sound that I can't figure out. (Heads up that they charge a diagnostic fee that is not credited towards your total cost.) I described it to the guy over the phone, took my car in, great. He called me back to tell me what they found which had absolutely nothing to do with the sound I was hearing. I asked what they found out about the sound and he acted like I was crazy, he told me there was no way I could hear other sounds over the sound that HE HEARD and this went on for a while before I finally gave up knowing full well that I would still need to get that fixed somewhere else. So long story short, they did nothing about the initial reason I brought my car in for. He tells me total cost to fix the one issue that he said they found which is steep but on par with what I was finding online. I come in and see the itemized receipt and it includes an $80 oil change that I 100% did not ask for and also was not told they were doing. Never is that ok to do. I still needed to fix the sound that I initially took it here for so I had to take my car in somewhere else and they found that my car battery needed replaced (along with a couple other minor things) which was never mentioned and should have been mentioned if you're paying boutique prices for a diagnostic. All in all, I felt patronized and ripped off. Obviously the other reviews are pretty good so I truly hope that others have a better experience than I did, I just will not be back. However, the waiting room was clean, so there's that. read more

Six years ago, my tire blew out, heading into work, and I was close to here. Stopped in, and they put the spare on for me. Today, I had the same thing happen today heading home around 340p, so I pulled in. They offered to do it... for $16. I was in a jam, I could not do it myself so I accepted and paid. Had to sit for around 20 minutes while the tech got around to it. They put my popped tire into the trunk and put all my work stuff, which are in bins neatly in place. Will need to resolve with getting the busted tire replaced soon, but Mahoney's got me home after a stressful moment today. read more

I had the misfortune of entrusting my vehicle to Mahoneys Auto Repair, and it was a nightmare from start to finish. The staff lied was rude, and unprofessional and even threaten me when I asked about a specific charge. The service was sketchy and the quote was more than double other places near by. Avoid this place like the plague unless you enjoy throwing your money away and dealing with headaches. These guys should be in jail. read more

I brought my car in for a few issues and even though I chose to ultimately have my father do the work on it, they didn't charge me a dime for the diagnosis. Plus, when I picked the car up, they took a good 10 minutes to explain to me what's going on with the engine and possible fixes that my father can try on his own. This is a honest business with reliable auto repair service. I first went to them around 2011 when I was getting $300-600 estimates from others for work I needed to make it back home to WI.I didn't have that kind of money. Someone from my daughte'rs church told us about Mahoney's.. They quoted/charged me $138! I never forgot that. Now that I live in Fla and my current car has aged, I am not in a rush to trade it because I know I have a reliable, honest, repair service. I have been using Mahoney's Auto for 4 or 5 years now. Bill is fantastic and honest and cares about quality work without bleeding your account dry. I have always been weary being a girl who knows only how to put gas in the car, oil in when it's low and water in the radiator; that I would get scammed by a mechanic's office knowing i knew NOTHING about a car or what filter or attachment i would need. They have always given me a fair price for parts and for labor. I would not take my vehicle anywhere else. If you are looking for a mechanic who is honest and does quality work, look no further. Sometimes they are very busy so you may have to wait an extra day or two to get it back, but it's worth it to me to know they are doing it right and not charging you for things you don't need! 10 stars +++++ read more

I was absolutely blown away by the service and integrity shown by this place on my first visit. My insurance had suggested Mahoney's when a failed starter left me needing a nearby mechanic. Mahoney's had great, clear communication as far as diagnosis and cost projections, and got to the car in a timely fashion. This business has serviced my family's vehicles for YEARS. Was in town for a few days, but on my way out of town my serpentine belt went out. They were packed with business, but my belt was changed, yesterday, in a timely manner. Every employee was friendly and professional. The most honest mechanic I have ever been to. I went in on the recommendation of my dealer to change an axle because of a torn CV boot and since the dealer was charging well above $500, I decided to come to this place because of the wonderful reviews online of great customer service, reasonable prices, and honesty. I was quoted a VERY reasonable price so decided to get the problem solved here. It turns out the dealer was just trying to get me to commit to an unnecessary service because Mahoney's found absolutely nothing wrong with my car and Travis called me right away to tell me there was nothing wrong and that he would be driving the car just to make sure. I went in to pick up my car and wasn't charged a thing and was so impressed by the nature of kindness and honestly of the workers and the establishment as a whole. With a dentist and a mechanic it's all about trust for me because I really have no idea what they are doing. I simply go off reviews and word of mouth. That's how they get their reputation and if you are ignorant like me when it comes to those types of things, it's really all we have to go on. Another connection we had with Mahoney's was that we grew up with the son. The wife and I were never super close with the family or anything but we knew the son all through elementary, middle, and high school. We had been taking our car to the fast lube type places but we needed to do a little work this time and wanted to kill two birds with one stone...oil change & some real preventative maintenance. They do it all at Mahoney's Auto Repair. Not only do we trust them, and have a connection to the family, but they actually do good work when it comes to vehicle maintenance. Ask around for yourself. My 2500 Chevy truck almost didn't make it to Mahoney's. I was assured they would diagnose and repair my vehicle. In just a few hours the work was complete. Mahoney's claimed the problem was just a faulty MAF sensor which they replaced. Only $224.00 and two miles later I made it home, although something did not seem right. The next day my truck drove worse than ever. I finally took it to Maher Chevy where they correctly diagnosed the issue for $89. Turns out the turbo-up pipe was cracked, and it needed replacing. Now I'm no mechanic, but it's obvious to me Mahoney's had no idea what was wrong. Would an honest mechanic create a diagnosis and complete unnecessary maintenance just make a buck? No way! I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Amazing experience start to finish. Initially called and spoke to Jeremy a few days before Thanksgiving regarding a brake issue. He stated they were fairly booked up until after the holiday weekend but then expressed concern once I told him the back brakes were grinding on my wife's Nissan Murano. He said that they always put safety first and asked me to come in the next morning. Ended up replacing the back pads and rotors for a very fair price and didn't try to upsell me on the front pads because there was still some life left in them. Travis and his wife are gone from Mahoney's and the place went straight downhill. I called and asked if I could bring my car in it needed a new battery or starter. No problem, bring it we can fix it this afternoon or early morning. No call back that afternoon. I called twice the next day, no return call, no estimate. Third day, I called annoyed and was told the car started fine. I said I'll come and get it. I needed a jump to leave their parking lot. I was told I never told them what was wrong with the car when I told them 4 times. They wanted to blame their crappy service on me. Never again. read more
