This was my first axe throwing experience so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I had a GREAT time. The staff was very helpful and the registration process was very easy. The self serve taps are a great idea - and they have a good selection of beer and a few mixed drinks, too. Be aware of the price per ounce of the drink you're pouring so you don't have a surprise bill at the end! The axe scoring system is easy to use and it's a fun way to have some friendly competition. It's a small place, so I would highly recommend making reservations online and showing up early.

Come here for the axes but the racing simulators and VR were super cool! Ron was our throwing instructor and was really cool and gave good instructions. The racing was very life like and not like Mario Kart, I will be back for some F1 racing! The VR seemed really cool but we didn't have time to give it a try. The adult beverages were all on tap and you get a RF card that can be preloaded or just run a tab. They have a good selection of beer or you can get Makers and Coke or Sangria. They also have food that's more pizza and chicken tenders. I had a great time and the staff was very friendly!

Super fun experience axe throwing for the first time! Jameer was helpful in teaching and funny. He kept coming over and watching our form and chatting with us! He definitely loves his job and made it an even better experience. Definitely would recommend this for anyone looking for a fun time.

Ovrdrive is so much fun!! I've been here twice - once for the rage room, and once for the axe throwing. Each time, I have had a great experience. The rage room has sledge hammers and bats for you to destroy beer bottles, clay pigeons, and electronics you can get from them! Definitely a huge adrenaline rush and SO much fun. They also let us use a speaker to play music while we smashed things! The axe throwing was also a ton of fun. After a tutorial on how to properly throw the axes, we played 2 different games that definitely brought out our competitive sides!

Bottom line up front: This place is great for parties, dates, or just passing some time. It was SO much fun! My wife and I stopped by for some Axe Throwing and VR Games. The axe throwing was wonderful. The staff helped us learn the basics and then let us go to it. BTW, my wife totally kicked my butt. There many different axe throwing games to pick from, so it was great. The VR js awesome. It is totally immersive and just so much fun. We played some zombie killing game as a team, and had the best time. Again the staff was very helpful and walked us through everything. It was so much fun my wife wants us to get VR for the house (Nice!!!!) All in all, this place is great, and it is on our "must do" list for our next visit to Louisville.

This was a fun spot to be and I recommend everyone experiencing this. Best part for me and mi wife was the axe throwing. But having kids, I think the rage room was close best. Worst if I may add is how expensive one "L.I.T" Was.

So we kind of happened upon this place. When we stopped at the gas station next door and I saw that they had axe throwing. Knowing that we needed to kill time before check in for our hotel. We came here. At first we were only interested in just the axe throwing. But manager Brandon stated they had a combo deal and we could do a little bit of everything. So we decided it sounded good and got that. Best idea ever. Started with the axe throwing. It being our first time we got set up with a team member to help us. I can't remember his name unfortunately, but he was great and super through. Asked us how we prefer to throw and continued to help us with our form the entire time. He was so great, honestly I feel like I became a pro in a matter of 30mins lol. Super informative . We did that for about an hr or more. And move on to the VR. VR is Virtual Reality and was set up with another team member. Again I can't remember his name. Also really friendly and super informative. Talked us through it all. Made sure everything fit to our liking. It was super cool. But very tiring lol. I got a good sweat on. Looking for an exercise this is lowkey a great replacement. Food smelled amazing. Although we didn't get any. Beer pouring looked amazing too. Again didn't get beer. But we did get sodas and water in bottles lol. Environment was cool, spacious, and clean. From California so idk when we will be back in Louisville, KY but if we do visit again definitely coming back because of the amazing fun and service we had. THANKS GUYS!

Pretty cool new place that will be a great tourist pull in the city. This place sits really close the Omni and not too far off from the Yum Center. I will say that for those who are stopping in town and need an activity to fill up some time, this will be a great spot to make that happen. I am thankful to Yelp for putting this event on! It was great to get to explore and test try all of the options this place has to offer. I found it very interesting that they even have a Rage Room. The prices seemed a little much, but having never experienced it I would probably shell out the base $25 to give this a try. The prices are scaled up from there depending on the amount of time and the size of the objects you wish to break. The VR activities are awesome. I personally cannot experience VR as it makes me very motion sick. I did play the race car simulator on the screens and got a touch of motion sickness, it was a lot of fun. Axe throwing is hard, but still a lot of fun to try and the overall experience was a nice stop in the night to have a little fun with friends. Definitely worth a stop to give it a try!!

Visited Ovrdrive 2/10/20 Parking is very limited being so central of downtown. The lot houses maybe a dozen spaces. Good thing is street parking is free after 6PM M-S. Free meters on Sunday. Inside Ovrdrive is the most state of the art arcade I've experienced. Axe Throwing here had to be the easiest place to land an axe in the target zone compared to the other throwing places we have visited, you could even throw at Zombies! The VR gaming was setup per person and could be played in 10 minutes sessions and 30 minutes based on the game you chose. The longer the game play, the longer you'll have to wait for your turn. I'm assuming one person per VR stall for safety. Lastly, THE RACING! The best part about the evening was the VR simulator for driving. Every spin, bumps, burn out of your car, the seat reacted to. The pedals and paddle shifters on the console felt like you truly were driving the touring series Corvette we hammered down on. I would come back purely for the racing and the racing alone. They also had a high tech alcohol fountain setup and booze you paid for by the ounce with a special card like you'd use at Gattiland. In addition they did have some pizza and pretzels to accompany for food.

My wife booked a 2:00PM session for us on a Saturday as a surprise for my Birthday. At the back entrance there was a host stand there but nobody around. We stand around for a couple minutes, never see anybody and peek our heads around the corner and some lady sitting in a chair in an office points to the side which ended up being the front lobby. Not a great first impression, but whatever. When we walked to the front another lady asked if we had a booking, told her we had a 2:00PM booking, (it was only around 1:20PM at this time), she told us if we would wait around it would be closer to 2:00PM when we would get started. No problem. We were looking around inside and a different lady come and basically told us to wait outside of the establishment in the mall corridor and they would come and get us closer to 2:00PM. It felt a bit rude, like a "get out you shouldn't be in here right now" with no explanation, but again, whatever. Brushed it off and walked around the mall for a bit. We came back around 1:45 as the website says to arrive 15 minutes early. We sat outside the establishment door as directed and waited. 2:00PM come and my wife had been antsy the whole time thinking they might have forgotten about us. I told her that I'm sure they hadn't, to chill out and I'm sure they would come get us soon. They were the ones that directed us to sit here. Around 2:05 she went in to check on the booking and this was our first interaction with "Sandy". My wife asked if she needed to check in or anything and told him our reservation was at 2:00. Sandy told her that she could go over the to the kiosk and check in and fill out the waivers. She told him that we had already checked in with a different lady, filled out the waivers before we arrived, and told the lady that when we arrived and were instructed to sit outside. Sandy then snarkily tells her that our entire party has to be there. My wife told him our entire party was there and we were sitting outside as instructed and nobody ever came and got us like they said they would. He just stared at her and then said well if your party is here we can get you started. Absolutely did not care that an error was made, offered no apology or reasoning and just started going through his spiel. Once she called me in and we got started he was incredibly cold and just going through the motions. Did not seem to care at all about our experience and acted like he didn't want to be there at all. A recording or kiosk would have been just as helpful if not more so. Rushed through everything, left us somewhat unsure and confused pretty much every step of the way. I immediately noticed how blurry the headset was (felt like the ipd was off) and that my meta quest 3 looked quite a bit better. Wife later said hers was blurry as well. There were tons of fans in the rooms but it was still pretty warm in there. The game itself left a lot to be desired. The melee weapons were laggy so when you would swing it took a moment for the weapon to actually catch up, even when swinging slow. The microphones were pretty much useless. She and I could not hear each other the entire time. Once I accepted the experience for what it was (sub par) and not what I expected it to be, I had fun but it is absolutely not worth $120 for 2 people to play for 30 minutes. At minimum, they should take a little more time to make sure the headsets are setup well for the person, the microphones are working, and help them get better acquainted before jumping into the game. A blurry headset and sensors that move around on your body ruin the experience. An abysmal customer service rep who doesn't give a crap about the customers experience is the nail in the coffin. Sandy has no business being in a role that requires interaction with customers. Huge potential, unfortunately falls incredibly flat.

My sister got married here last Friday and it was a beautiful wedding... but all the behind the scenes was a disaster. They had scheduled tours for when the bride and groom were having their "first touch" and reading prayers... so there were people talking over them and getting in the way of the PAID photographer and videographer. And they didn't listen when told to lower their voices. Extremely rude and the fact that they didn't tell anyone they were scheduling random people to come in and look while a wedding was taking place was just really unprofessional.
