They changed my medication delivery date without consent making me late on my medication. They also told me what day it would be scheduled for, but no timeframe whatsoever. Owl Specialty Pharmacy has gone above and beyond to deliver my prescription when I needed it and I can hardly express how grateful I am to them. I take a subcutaneous medication every two weeks and when I ran out without ensuring the next delivery was on its way, I was stressed. I was going out of town in the next few days so called the pharmacy to see if they could deliver asap. Though they initially said it couldn't happen, after explaining my situation they scheduled a delivery for me before I left town anyway. I was already so impressed and thankful for them listening to and working with me. Fast forward to delivery day and like a dodo I missed it. It is a refrigerated medication so they were unable to leave it. I called and the delivery driver had left the area so it seemed there was nothing that could be done. I was going out of town for a full week and was stressed as I was already late for my last dose. In a last ditch effort I called again-- just after closing-- and to my surprise the director Willie called back and said he would make the delivery happen!!! He was so friendly and accommodating, and didn't express any ire or frustration, even though I knew he would have to send a driver out of their way. On top of that he texted the driver's ETA and updated me in real time. It felt like a miracle. I couldn't believe the kindness and generosity involved. It felt they understood and cared, and it was so reassuring to be able to get my medication in time. I will be letting my doctor and clinic know what a great experience I had with this pharmacy and recommend to whoever I can to support this business! Thank you! read more

This pharmacy has the worst service ever, my doctor prescribed an ointment for my eyes and it took a month and a half for them to contact me. At this point I no longer needed the medicine. Enter Theresa Santos...she single-handedly got in touch with the manufacturer and completed several steps of coordination for this specialty medication. My son who is 5 years old started getting medications from here shortly after a doctors visit they said they would increase the dose to call the pharmacy and get the new ones. So I called, they said there was an issue and they would call me back. Soon after I received a call from a man with an accent speaking about my son Aiden's medication. Telling me to not follow the instructions on the box and to just give him a dose 1 times every 2 weeks instead of every 4 weeks. I asked him okay so is it just for this dose cause I had one shot left that hadn't been used yet and he said no just keep doing it every 2 weeks. So I kept following it and they kept telling me why am I out, I explained someone from here said every 2 weeks now. And then they didn't question it and sent it out. Eventually they started to say that I'm crazy and I never was told to give him 2 weeks. I didn't want to give me son a shot every 2 weeks in the dam first place. And they said that what I did was super dangerous and I made this all up in my head. And of course they never documented any of this in their computer and are trying to brush it under the rug. IT SHOULD BE 50 STARS! What an amazing, life-altering find! How about a co-pay of ZERO after 25+ years of paying at least $1700 per prescription of a 5 Tier Injectible four to six times a year? Even writing to "big pharma" got me nowhere. This year, while reviewing open enrollment Medicare options with my independent insurance agent, she suggested no matter what prescription plan I get, I should contact Owl Speciality Pharmacy and speak with Willie. I did. He took my prescription, filled by another pharmacy, and said he'd call me soon. Seven days later, I received the iced package containing 2 injectables that will be used over the next two months. Cost to me - ZERO. I am so THANKFUL for the help my father and I received from Theresa S. at Owl Specialty Pharmacy! My father is on a long-term medication that costs over $1K a month to get if paid out of pocket. For a while, we were very fortunate to have been receiving help from a Foundation that Owl Specialty searched and applied for us. Then, the funds ran out. I was shocked and out of options. For a few months, Owl Specialty Pharmacy worked with me to help us find ways to pay for the large sum of co-pay. TODAY, Theresa told me the Foundation received funds for a very brief few days. She had put my dad's case on her on-hold file and submitted the application as soon as it opened. We were approved and my father is able to get his meds again! OMG! I am so so so thankful! I was surprised reading the good comments of Owl Pharmacy in Covina, CA. This pharmacy is the worst ever. First delivery is fine, arriving Nov.6, 2023 with a filled up date of October 31st. Then, I received a text from them asking me when to deliver my refill that will be out Nov. 30th , I text backed that they can deliver my refills any M-F between 8 AM- 8PM knowing they don't open on Sat and Sun. . They told they can deliver Thurs , Nov. 30 bet. 12-5 PM and been confirmed. But no delivery. Called and talked to Jennifer and she told me the delivery will be done Friday 1-6PM and still no delivery and no text or call from them and since they are closed after 5:00PM all I can do is wait until Monday . Since they are not open until 9 AM I called Dr. Chen's office and asked them why my medication refill wasn't delivered as confirmed. Fabiola at Dr. Chen's told me that they probably can deliver it Nov. 6 and told me they can't even promise that they can deliver. Fabiola told me if I know of any other specialty pharmacy to use besides the unreliable Owl. I told her not at the moment. Then I called Owl again and talked to Eric told me he has to check their delivery schedule. Talked to Jennifer again and she told me my prescription was delivered to someone in Compton. And told me that it will be delivered todayDec.5, 12-5PM and as of this writing it is now 5:54 PM. No Text and No phone call from Owl and of course I can't call them as usual as it is past 5:00 PM. I am so amazed to read all those fake good reviews they received online. This Specialty pharmacy ought to be checked by regulators . They were very reliable till April of this year. Something happened then to drug reimbursement or government regs and they are now under new management. They said they lost money with my orders. Without asking, they sent my Rx prescription to Acredo. Acredo has an average 1.2 Yelp rating and I have as yet to even get my transferable med on the books, know what the co-pay is or hear when it will be shipped after 5 days. I have run out of med and they don't speed up anything even though they have a new Dr's prescription. This may be the government's dabbling but Owl Pharmacy was not helpful. A phone call would have been helpful so I could have directed my prescription to CVS Specialty or had more advice on where to send my prescription but there was little regard and now I am stuck on the phone for hours getting shuffled about, hung up on and lied to on Acredo. I revised from 2 stars to 4 stars for past performance but honestly, Owl Pharmacy really could have called me last month so I had a month to get established with a new specialty pharmacy. I've been using this pharmacy for almost a year now. The main issue I have is if you don't call early enough in the day, you may as well wait until the next day because no one answers the phone. When I addressed this with the pharmacist assistant who answered the phone, she responded that they get busy and can't get to all the calls. When you do schedule a delivery, it takes 3-5 days before you receive your prescription. Timing for my medication is crucial so if I miss scheduling a delivery for a couple of days, it takes me past the time I should have taken my medication. I take Dupixent which requires me to schedule my delivery every month. I wish they could set up an repeat delivery so that I don't have to call it in every month. Other than these issues, and the fact that I request "no signature", that doesn't alway happen. read more

Find another delivery service! They subcontract out for their drivers. Ladies are sweet over the phone and they call to schedule for your delivery, they pick ta window of 5-6 hours on a specific date. Fine with me. Can they make that window? No they cannot. 1st time I was kind and switched hours around to pick up meds left on porch in hot sun when specifically told driver to put in box. Called they said I'll be put as priority and make sure it gets delivered on their picked window of time . 2nd time same dang thing except I'm at work this time and I call again and chew them out. If your going to hire outsiders make sure your system and communication is on point. They want to reschedule me for this to happen again ? No I finally was confirmed that the delivery would be between that window that they set that day. My meds were delivered. Please find a solution to this madness. It's not a good look. read more

I have been a patient with Owl Specialty since January 2015. I have two specialty medications that I have to take and I have to say that I have never felt so comfortable and secure with a pharmacist as I do with Willie. He has helped me tremendously with answering my questions, offering suggestions, and always making sure that I have what I need. The staff is always professional, kind, knowledgeable, and through. Nancy is the best. She has always made sure that I have what I need for my treatments and they deliver it to my house. Dealing with the medical issues that I have to deal with it is a big relief to have Owl handle these medications as it is one less thing I have to take of. They schedule the refills and the deliveries around my schedule and they are always kind, courteous, compassionate. I would have all of my prescriptions here if they were not so far from my house.
