I ordered via the app for curbside pickup. When I arrived there, I parked in the designated curbside parking spot right outside the front doors and said that "I'm here." I waited for over 10 minutes before I finally called the store to let them know I was there. While they were looking in to my order, someone came out with a cart full. My entire store order was available. Yay! Not only were all my items available, but the store associate loaded all my sodas (I purchased quite a bit of 12 pack sodas) into my trunk. Well organized and well stocked store, the photo dept is very good and thorough and the gift card section is not huge but they do offer a variety for those last minute gifts. Employees are friendly but overworked as there is usually a line of customers at the checkout lines and perhaps one to three employees working in the entire store. The employees are very hard-workers and always provide great service. Parking is readily available and the location is great as the store is at the corner of a very busy intersection with easy access in all directions. read more

I usually don't have a problem here at Walgreens. I used to get my medicine at CVS and now I switched to Walgreens. It's better but today I went to get my medicine and I they were closed for lunch and if they close from lunch from 1:30 PM to 2:00pm I got there at 1;40pm and there was another couple waiting there around 1:53pm I got up to get in line and there was this gentleman of the gentleman was also waiting now got me pissed off is that there was two other people waiting there and there was another gentleman that was waiting. Their pharmacist lady said went and gave them their pills. Then she told the gentleman you gotta wait 50 more minutes cause we're not open. I think that is so wrong why would you do that? Why would you give somebody else their medicine and you weren't even open that just pissed me off and then they didn't even open until 2:20 so they were late. read more

Although the store is stocked with most items, you should beware of the personnel who are quite young and not as capable, efficient and honest as in other Walgreen's stores. I walked out with part of my purchase (greeting cards), but forgot to check for one makeup item, which I paid for. However, when I went back to retrieve it, believing it had rolled off the counter unnoticed, the cashier asked if I'd checked my bag. She hadn't put my cards in a bag, just handed them to me, so the bulky cosmetic item was never felt, since it was never there. Just beware and recheck before you leave---especially if you're an older adult. I hope they think about their own parents being "taken". Unkind people really take advantage. This is life. read more

This pharmacy location is horribly run. They take 2 plus days to fill prescriptions. Do not come here if you need your medications filled ASAP. On top of that they are slow. You literally have to keep calling them to make sure they are filling your scripts. I will be changing to CVS. Good Rittens. read more

I placed  online order #204226877694 with Walgreens store# 4798 at 401 Azusa Ave, Covina, CA on Sunday 6/13. It was for (2) bottles of Old Spice Classic Cologne Buy 1 get 1 50% off for Fathers Day gifts. I was texted when my order was ready for pick up.  Drove to the curbside parking an employee with neon green nails delivered (1) bottle in a 10 cent bag to my car.  She stated that although online it said they had 2 in stock,  they only found 1. I asked if I was discounted for the 1, and she said she would go back into the store and enter a discount for the inconvenience.  She returned to the car stating that on the receipt a discount had already been applied? But why? I left not looking into the bag, but when I got home found that the box had been cut open??? This is for a gift!! The employee looked into the bag after someone filled this order and no one made this known to me until I got home and found this for myself!!!! I called the store and a employee,  Marisa said we are still checking in all our stock,  I will check in our stockroom to see if there is another box of cologne. She came back on the phone and said she found the second box that the order filler was too lazy to look for to fill my order completely,  render me the special sale price or provide me with suitable product for gift giving and decent customer service!! I returned to Walgreens Covina, Marisa provided me with a full refund for the 1  damaged box of cologne. I also showed her that on my way, I stopped at the Covina Rite Aid and purchased 2 each of the Old Spice Classic Cologne & After Shave without incident!!!  Walgreens is pathetic and the store manager should fire the order filler who was so lazy in losing a good customer and a sale to laziness!!! read more

The Photo/FedEx pick up department is really bad. I had my package delivered there and customer service is terrible. She made me wait while she's putting away things prior to assisting someone standing in front of her. She also asked me for my ID, tracking number, and a bill (Either credit card or utility bill)! I told her who brings a utility bill to pick up a package? I showed her the email confirmation for the purchase with name and address and she still wouldn't release the package! I had to open my wellsfargo app and open up my profile with my address before she would release the item. I'm all about making sure the right person gets the right package, but a picture ID, tracking number, and actual statement for the purchased item should have sufficed. read more

Be sure to check your photos before you leave . We ordered some family pictures and only found 1 picture that was ours and the rest belonged to some else. The name on the envelope was mine but the order name inside was someone else. This cost us an extra drive and more wasted time. read more

The pharmacy is really hit and miss. They started out ok but have gotten bad. We get the same medications every month yet they are frequently out of one or two medications and say we have to wait several days to get them. They will not even fill them at another Walgreens, or so they say. Rite Aid however will fill your prescription at any store where they have the medication. I went to this Walgreens to purchased 2 items to snack on since I was on my lunch break, there was only 1 cashier open and it look like it was the store manager, there was 1 customer buying several items and had coupons( smart) she kept asking questions in regards to her points and well I was waiting to pay and noticed the line was long yet the manager wouldn't call for back up or to have another cashier open. I asked if he can have some one open the next cashier register and he just responded with a gesture with his hands. As this is happening I can see 2 female employees just chatting and not caring that the line is long and this man is overwhelmed, I ended walking away after waiting for so long. Made an appointment for a flu and covid booster shot as this is where I got my booster last year. When the time came, he asked for my insurance card and denied me my flu shot. Said that my insurance doesn't use Walgreens, they use CVS. Okay? Aren't flu shots free? If I said I didn't have insurance, they would've taken me. Make it make sense. I am a disabled veteran from the United States Army trying to get my medicine from this place. I spoke with this so called pharmacist name Chris in regards to my medicine, and he tells me if I'm going to be switching back-and-forth from CVS pharmacy to Walgreens, he's not going to fill my prescription. I told Chris, I've been going to Walgreens for at least 26 years, this is how they have my information on their computer. Basically, he was being a snob, and I told him what am I to do if one pharmacy is out of my medicine, just go without my medicine? He actually sounded like the average Jerk. Giving it two stars. The outside is so filthy. The walkway is covered with filth , and really needs a good power washing. The dry grass and shrubs is unbecoming with no sense in pride for the community . If it wasn't for the cars in the parking lot and customers , I'd think the building and property was abandoned. No curb appeal. Can our community please have a nice Walgreens like LA Verne or San Dimas? Can we? Would be nice to also do something about the homeless encamped in the backside of the Walgreens building. There's trash, and the filth is attracting a different element to the area. I like this location. When there is a sale or a good coupon in the ad, I can trust that they usually have the item here. Some of the other locations I can always trust that they would be sold out. I think they recently changed owners because the service seems a bit better and the faces have changed. I am a member of the Pharmacy club and really enjoy extra bonus discounts on Walgreens brand items. The pharmacy is pretty efficient. I can usually get in and out of here without too much hassle. read more

The Pharmacist sold us a defective nebulizer and when we tried to exchange it the told us to call the company, No refunds or exchange. He never told us that when we paid for it. He also couldn't forward the prescription.,And when I said when I said how am I to give her medicine he said take to the ER. I left walgeeens not too long ago and the cashier who assisted me went above and beyond. I should've gotten his name, but long story short... every dollar counts right now and he made sure I got the exact ticketed discount I was looking for and seemed to have gone ahead and possibly added an employee discount for the blood pressure monitor I needed to get my mother. He patiently checked prices, asked for manager help with my issue and very nicely helped me charge my purchase. I make a big deal out of this because often times we come across associates who become rude when customers use discount or sales codes used to draw in purchases. Cashiers are great; store is clean and well stocked. Pharmacy not as informed as the neighboring CVS. I rarely go to any store pharmacy as my drugs are prepared and our provided from Kaiser. However I have diabetes and started experiencing itchy skin on my legs and arms. I went to Walgreens seeking to buy a product sold by Cerave. I looked at all the sections with lotions and diabetic products. When I didnt find any I thought to ask a pharmacist. He was young and Asian. He smirked and kinda laughed because he had never heard of such a thing. I insisted I read about this in the internet snd he rejected that idea. I went home and ordered it from Amazon and will continue to order my over the counter aids that way. read more

We went to get our 35mm film developed and this guy (mexican, looks like he peaked in high school and has a high, annoying voice) literally broke our disposable cameras to get the film after we showed him how to open it without cracking it open or exposing the film. He told us no one else develops film after I told him CVS does as well and he also lied about not being able to place new film in the cameras. After he opened one, he took it back and said oh you can re-use this one. After destroying 2 of our cameras, he gave all 3 back and said he ran out of envelopes to put the film in and said at least he took out all 3. This guy was a piece of work and represents ghetto West Covina trash, not surprising as he didn't seem educated in the slightest. Just spoke out with no substance in his words, he should learn to save his breath and our time. Fire this loser. read more

It carries all the same things other Walgreens carries. The place is large, and well maintained with fast service. The pharmacists have always been really friendly and helpful. Their drive-thru pharmacy service is insanely fast. The whole process will definitely be less than 5 minutes. I find that the drive-thru is faster than going in the store. The photo service was also quick. Did not have to go around the store looking for an employee to man the station. read more

Naomi, one of the pharmacy technicians, is wonderfully awesome. I can't even tell you how incredibly helpful, warm, and professional she is. I had issues with my insurance not taking some of the medications I was prescribed, and so she worked hard to make sure that everything was figured out so that I wouldn't have to pay an arm and a leg. She even remembered my name, which is very rare these days. If you go to this pharmacy, hopefully she's there to help you, because otherwise you'll be in for a real disappointment. The day I went when Naomi wasn't working, the two workers were very curt and barely acknowledged my existence. There was an issue with their computers so I couldn't be rung up, so I waited in front of them without them even letting me know there was something wrong. After waiting for nearly 10 minutes, I finally said that I would just walk around the store. It was a very annoying incident and it should be a lesson learned by the Walgreens employees because I just transferred over a prescription to another pharmacy. read more

WORST PHARMACY EVER !!! They will not follow their own procedure and ask for an ID for COVID testing but others will. What if someone was homeless and had no I'd? I came to take a follow up test at this Walgreens location and no one asked for a ID to covid test (I've tested here before) and no one has ever asked now someone in pharmacy today has denied our testing because we didn't have an ID and even though I had the email that was sent to me for the testing. Do not come to this Walgreens they are the worst. read more

Walgreens is so much better than CVS. I don't know if I prefer it because of the great customer service, the small drug store feel, the super fast prescription fill or because it is always kept so neat and clean. Whether I'm filling a prescription or just do some shopping, I enjoy coming here time after time. I'm so proud of walgreens for hiring the patience staff. I always notice that not only Sarah but from the pharmacy thechs to the pharmacist it self. They have always treated me so kind. I come to Walgreens every week for different items and I'm usually happy with the service but I had to pick up medicine in the drive-through and the line was only one car in front of me and five cars behind me and i waited for more than 30 minutes. I thought the line was for a fast pick up. If the car in front of me had problems they should've made them come inside but it's ridiculous to have five or six cars in line waiting here to pick up medicine. oooohhhhh i had to have the 99cent slurpee-----cherry and rasberry (40/60%) after a bike ride. i know it wasn't the healthiest choice-but it did list artificial and NATURAL flavors. As my fellow rider and i were walkin' back out the door we had a homeboy trying to pick our bike lock. the homeboy saw me lookin' at him---he stopped and quickly walked away to a bus stop nearby...but he kept lookin' back with his transportation challenged (t.c.)accomplice. it was dark by now, so i decided to have fellow staff pick us up. as we drove away... we looked back at the t.c. idiots. read more
