Wow, so unreal! Been a customer of 10 years. This company immeditely would stop service if I…read moremissed a payment. Always made it feel like things like this don't happen, whatever, not why I am here. These guys took my propane tank without me being aware. I called to let them know my gas was out and didn't even find out til the next day that they had removed the tank. They told me that I told them to remove the tank, which obviously I did not. Come to find out, their technician went to another random house and talked to someone else who said that they don't get propane refills. Well this technician said, hey, this customer no longer wants propane. So the manager then came and picked up my propane tank in the middle of the winter. For 4 days I called trying to get it back, just to be told, "We can't get there today". This went on for 4 days until on the fifth day, after telling them someone could get hurt because its 35F outside in the winter in CT, until they said, "we feel threatened" by this convo and said, we refuse to bring back the tank. Yes, that is correct. They took my propane tank in the winter, for 4 days said they would get it back on, then said they refuse to bring it back. They never appologized once for the mix up. He kept saying over and over, well in the system we have it marked down that you don't want your tank anymore. NO IDIOT, you spoke to another random house, that never happened, there was no disconnect call/email/nothing!!!! Calling The Attorney General, BBB, and the regulatory agency for Utilities in CT. I don't care how what I have to do, I will do my best to get these guys held accounted for. Read their reviews, they treat people like absolute garbage. They are going to get someone killed. Their 5 stars are obviously paid for

If it was possible to give less than one star, I would be first in line. Based on my experience, I…read moredefinitely do not recommend them. - They are rude when you call them both Jeniffer and Kim - Once, my girlfriend came unexpectedly to visit me, and she parked her car in my driveway, and I, with all the excitement, forgot about the scheduled delivery. The driver did not do a delivery that day - there was NO call, no knocking on the door. When I called to ask when the delivery would be made, I was informed by Kim that the driveway was blocked. No comments.... - Another time had a scheduled delivery for a specific day. Came early from my night shift and patiently waited for the delivery. However, the delivery was not done because their driver didn't show up, and they had no one to make the delivery. Again, no one called me with an update or an apology. When I called, I was told that they don't know when they will be able to schedule the next delivery.. There were multiple other occasions when I believe a Pioneer Gas employee showed incompetence, but I am glad that I am no longer with them.

The Seymour Oil Company - Beautiful new trucks to deliver your home heating oil and propane. The best part about these trucks, we carry low bio diesel fuel!

However, during the job, the technician had to leave to get parts, and I was still charged for the time he was gone. They ran new lines and were here for almost three hours. The total bill came to about $700. I paid for it, expecting the issue to be fixed. Less than 24 hours later, Friday night, I had no hot water again. I called Saturday morning and explained that the same issue was happening. Instead of standing behind the work they had just completed the day before, I was told it would cost $299 per hour for them to come back out and even look at it. When I spoke with the customer service representative, she argued with me and insisted that I would still have to pay the hourly charge. I explained that they had just been out the day before and charged me $700 to fix the issue, so I was not paying another service fee for the same problem. She said she would check if someone could come out, but I did not receive a call back until later that night. At that point, I had no choice but to start calling other companies to try to get help. In total, I ended up being without hot water for four days, even after paying this company $700 for a repair that clearly did not fix the problem. A company that charges customers hundreds of dollars should stand behind its work, especially when the problem returns less than 24 hours later. Based on my experience, the lack of accountability and the way this situation was handled were extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I would strongly recommend others look elsewhere before using this company.

I recently moved to a new area and I made the mistake of using another large national company (that…read morethe prior owner used to use) for delivery of propane. That other company was awful. They overbilled, refused to address those billing issues and although the driver was nice, they were impossible to work with. My neighbor suggested Seymour Oil and I needed to fill our oil tank for the winter anyway. They are a locally owned and operated business. They have been friendly and completely reliable. The same family also runs a great plumbing supply shop in Seymour. They helped me find a part for an out of date water heater, saving me from spending to replace the water heater and sparing me from extended days without hot water - I was back online that afternoon. The driver is extremely friendly and I look forward to seeing him when he comes by. If he comes to fill my neighbor's tank he always asks me if I need a fill as well. Thanks to Seymour Oil my family has been kept warm all winter with no hassles. I sleep better at night knowing that we are supporting a local business and not a giant public corporation where we were just an account number and an opportunity to make extra money.
