first look at a double queen room on the third floor

Joseph at check-in was fun great personality answer all of our questions and very professional very good guy. The room was clean. The only issue was the bathroom had no ventilation and the door was a fire door swapped smell mustine icky so you have to prop your own door open.

Machine covered in sweat, no wipes available, no towels, and no signs reminding people to clean up after themselves.

I travel often for work and usually stay at Marriott's but decided to give a new place a try. The pictures online and TripAdvisor reviews were good, so I felt confident in my selection. After the first night, I noticed there was dried blood on my bedding. I let the front desk know and they said they would get that handled. Upon returning, I noticed the sheets were clean but found several hairs in not only my new cleaned bed but the second bed which I hadn't even used yet. I feel like whoever makes the beds don't really check to make sure stuff is actually good. I understand housekeeping isn't an easy job, but cleanliness is very important when staying at a hotel. The gym also lacked upkeep and it's very compact so it feels like a sauna while you're working out. No fans, my friend and I decided to crack open one of the windows. The wipes also were unavailable and the treadmills both were covered in sweat. I asked the front desk and they had no supplies to provide and said they would have to notify housekeeping. Why don't they just have wipes or supplies on hand to handle something simple as this?? I feel like this place has potential due to its convenient location and a unique design. However you can tell the cleanliness is lacking and the showers also need to be updated. The tub in mine was pealing, there's no ventilation, and the shower curtain was a thin cloth material without a liner. I thought about switching hotels but since I'm here for work it's not as simple and decided to just stick it out. The staff are nice but just feel like the hotel needs to focus on cleaning.

Stayed here for a work trip, was randomly upgraded to the presidential suite - so started off very positive. The room was very clean and spacious- lots of closet space. The bed was super comfy and the amenities were quality. The hotel was having a happy hour the night I stayed and the lady working the front desk for my check in was so nice and helpful, everytime I came in or left I was greeted which is more than most of these travel hotels. Overall quality stay - affordable price - good staff. Would stay here again if in town for work.

Spacious King Suite with fine touches @ Oxford Suites.

Enjoyable stay @ Oxford Suites in Chico, CA. We had the pleasure of staying here over the weekend and were pleased with a comfy bed and high end decor in our King suite on the 4th floor. It had everything we needed, including a great shower and appealing lemongrass sage toiletries. I'm so glad we reserved a quiet room on the highest floor because there were many families staying here who also enjoyed great amenities this place has to offer, such as the hot breakfast and pool. So yeah, this hotel has the capability of serving many patrons and boasts 184 suites. The only draw back to a larger hotel are the other people you have to deal with, but we by no means have any specific complaints, per se, just a little longer wait time for the elevator and breakfast on the first day. The breakfast was okay, as some other reviews have stated. It did offer pancakes, potatoes, ham, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and oatmeal, along with numerous bread options. The hot breakfast items were pretty cold by the time we grabbed a table, and it was at max capacity and rather loud, so we opted to go out to breakfast the second day. The location of this hotel could not have been better, surrounded by numerous restaurants and shopping centers. I wouldn't necessarily stay here again, but we had a pleasant stay overall.

Quiet and good breakfast service. Bedding is a little too soft. Convenient location to other restaurants.

We have been wanting to stay here and enjoy their amenities plus it's close to everything! My boyfriend and I enjoyed the Farmer's Breakfast which was a fluffy omelet with spinach and onions and crispy bacon inside. It came with artisan toast and breakfast potatoes. It was delicious! The fresh spinach inside was yummy and the rosemary on the potatoes was awesome! I put fresh rosemary and sage on just about everything I cook! Its was an elevated dish with all the right Seasonings! My boyfriend had a coffee and I had a buttery glass of chardonnay. We sat in the enclosed outdoor space because I had my puppy with me. So relaxing ( next to the pool). Enjoyed breakfast by the firepit. They also have a full bar and happy hour. Let's not forget they have rooftop dining with a bar and happy hour ( i think rooftop opens at 2pm). Such a wonderful service with a very kind waitress ( Ssndra??) who brought Wlbur a water dish to keep that has their name on the bottom of the dish! Much needed hotel and restaurant in a fastly growing town!

Our server was prompt, polite, and friendly, which we appreciated. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with lots of natural light and a pleasant atmosphere. I'd describe it as "Chico nice" -- casual and trendy, but not fine dining or especially refined service. The food was okay to good, but nothing memorable. We ordered the avocado toast, chicken sandwich, a beer, and a sweet drink, and the total came to about $72. Everything was perfectly fine, just not the kind of food or experience that would make me want to return, especially for a birthday celebration. Overall, it's a decent spot for a casual lunch, but it didn't feel particularly special for the price.

Was saddened that not one member welcomed us to your lodge either evening, with the exception of the bartender asking for our membership card. Both nights we saw governing members of your lodge, yet not one of them came over to welcome us, introduce themselves, ask where we're from, what brings us to the Chico Lodge?? etc.. Wednesday was your burger night, we thought about staying, but since No one had even spoke to us, we felt unwelcome, we decided to go elsewhere for our dinner!! Your Governing personal needs to pay more attention to strangers in your lodge, If I'd been someone looking to join the Elks, I'd have walked out, not interested in returning!!! Every lodge is struggling to get new members, pay attention to how you treat strangers in your Lodge!!! Also, if I'd been from the ABC, a couple things I saw, I could have shut your lodge down for 90 days!!!!!! Wake up and pay attention to who's in Your Lodge!!!! It makes a big difference!!!! To set an example, went into a Elks Lodge in Oregon, within a few minutes the Exalted Ruler had introduced himself, welcomed us to there Lodge, introduced us to other local members, the bartender housed our 2nd drink, with a welcome to the lodge, was invited to join a group for there dinner!! Such a huge difference than the way we were treated in Chico.... Wake Up Chico!!!!

It was a long, tedious ritualistic endeavor. It was expensive too. $400 for both of us. Then covid hit. We only used the lodge 2-3 times total for meals, we don't drink. I asked them if they would extend our membership and they said no, we had to repay! Since then, 2 different couples have told us they are members and the cost is $200 for a couple. The husband becomes the member and the wife is included. I asked them about it. No refund offered. This dishonesty makes me question the whole club. The rituals taken from the freemasons, known to be not good, was creepy too.
