For those considering using this place for meetings/conferences. This is just a review regarding using Oxford Suites' conference rooms, I have not stayed in a room here. Very friendly staff, quick on their feet. Extremely fast internet (ethernet, haven't tried wi-fi.) Lots of space and very tidy. An abundance of tea, coffee, and ice water available and a bathroom right inside the conference area. TV too. The AC unit is a bit loud but that's my only complaint as it is super soundproof. Oh, and the PARKING! So much parking available and it's free! read more

The staff here is great. Hardy was so kind in making my reservation and insuring we got in the room we wanted due to issues at our apartment. Clean,comfortable rooms. Nice,clean pool. My recent stay at Lancaster Oxford Suites couldn't be better. Starting with the staff at check in. They were very pleasant every time we walked through. The tickets for the evening snack and beverages (adults never too) are awesome after a long day at the fields. We reserved a block with the Softball Team and our sales representative Brianna was very helpful and professional. I will definitely book again for future tournaments. This hotel is ok. The staff is friendly and it is clean. Evening social is nice as well. Walls are pretty thin though and if you have kids on floor above, it is hard to sleep. Overall though, nice hotel. read more

We've been in Lancaster a couple of times in the past for soccer tournament, but this is the first time we've stayed at Oxford. I can say that I am so happy with the service received by the front end staff. Brent was so nice!! The room was quite big ~we had a king bed overlooking the pool . . . very nice and roomy, as well as clean! One issue that we did experience was the wifi. We didn't take the time to seek out help, but it seemed that once we had a signal, it immediately went away. So, overall a terrific stay . . . just wished the wifi worked. This was a surprising hotel. Not only do they include a hot cooked to order breakfast with your hotel rate but also a dinner & two drinks from the bar! The front desk staff was helpful & friendly along with both the bar and kitchen staff. Another plus is that the hotel is pet friendly. Our room was a king poolside, which was roomy and clean. My only complaint would be the fact that the older building needs more sound barriers installed (somehow). The hotel was packed with young children attending a soccer tournament and you could hear them walking back and forth in the room above. read more

I am re tracking my previous review as I am was contacted by the GM of the Oxford. He was able to put me and my family in rooms and was very understanding of my situation. Hotel was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was awesome for us on the go. Great location within a few minutes from the Big 8 softball complex. We stayed her for one night and got much more than we expected for such a good rate. We were impressed that the hotel had everything we needed for a short overnight stay. Frige in the room, good smelling toiletries, work out room, balcony with table and chair and tasty continental breakfast which was free. Slept very good in the comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. No complaints here. Will definitely stay here again when we are in town to visit family. read more

The rooms are good size, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is pretty good. I'd love to give this place a higher rating but I have downgraded it because the Wifi is abysmal. We stayed there two nights and both nights (and mornings) the Wifi dropped every five minutes or so. Very frustrating, and pretty useless. Stayed here Easter weekend. Surprisingly cheap for being a weekend and a holiday. I highly recommend this place for anyone coming to Lancaster. Not only do you get free breakfast but you also receive free drink vouchers for dinner along with some complimentary food. The wifi here was the best from any hotel we've stayed at. We had 2 phones, one iPad, and one laptop connected and they all worked great. They also provide a DVD player in case you have any movies. The location seemed pretty safe and they have a bunch of stores nearby for food or any necessities. Employees were also really nice and helpful when checking in and out. read more

I read the reviews on Yelp and I am so glad I stayed at Oxford Inn! I was going on a short business trip to Edwards AFB/NASA near Lancaster. This hotel seemed to be one of the closest to the base and best rated. The front desk help was so kind and helpful. I reserved a pool view room and i loved it. The elevators are a bit slow so I recommend staying on a lower level floor. But they have stairs on every corner which i used frequently. I liked how you need your hotel card to get in the building from the stairs. It made me feel safer at night. My room was comfy and very very clean. It also had a flat screen and small refrigerator. The bathroom was clean. Bed was super comfy and I slept like a baby through the night. I didnt use the pool but looked very clean. They also give you 2 drink tickets for the bar and also free breakfast in the morning. Also the WiFi on the second level (which is complimentary) worked so fast. I would definitely stay here again as it was very affordable and welcomining. read more

We spent two nights there recently, Feb 5th-6th. The room was rather small, and the wifi was terrible! I called the front desk and they were going to reset it, but it never did work properly. They did offer an evening free drink voucher, and light dinner, however we had arrangements for a couple of meals. We did enjoy a great fresh cooked egg breakfast the morning we were leaving, which was very good. They offered bagels, toast, juice, make your own waffles, hash browns, and ham. read more

I travel quite often for work and this is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed at its clean and the area isn't bad. They offer free dinner n breakfast and give you two free drinks at the bar. I will definitely stay here again and or at another one of their location. read more

My friend and I drove down for a short weekend 6/20 -6/21 2014, because her niece was getting married. Driving 10 hours each way makes for an extremely long weekend, factor in the climate change and we were exhausted. We were located in room 312 and the room was great. The beds were amazing and the people especially Ebony at the front desk Sunday morning were awesome... HOWEVER, the night clerk Everett was rude and of absolutely no help in resolving the issues resulting around a large group of motorcycle riders who went in and out till almost 4 am. I had to ask him for a complaint form, the man wouldn't even look me in the eye. Idk if these people on the bikes were friends of his or not but even so the night time security guard was no help to anyone. The oxford inn and suites is a cuts trendy place to stay with great rooms but if your gonna stay here I seriously suggest you inquire as to whether any large groups will be there at the same time and if Everett is working because if either of those are the case your better off staying in your car. read more

In the process of relocating to the Edwards AFB area and needing a place to stay until we could find temp lodging, we made a 3 night reservation based entirely upon Google reviews. Boy, were we shocked upon checkin. The hotel is very outdated, the carpet was dingy and dirty (both in the hotel and in our room), the hotel interior smelled of pet urine, the shower/tub was filthy, and the hot water would come and go. The staff were all friendly, for the most part. The breakfast was fair (according to my husband...I wouldn't eat it), the evening reception was ok, although we passed on eating the light dinner that was provided. The 2 drink coupons for the glasses of wine were nice though. One evening, while enjoying our wine at the bar, water started pouring out of a recessed lighting fixture on the ceiling above the beer tap. Then, the following morning while showering, water began dripping from the sheetrock on the ceiling above the tub. Apparently, they have some sort of plumbing issues going on that need immediate attention. The hotel itself is located in a convenient location right off the freeway; however, there was some sketchy activity going on in the parking lot all 3 nights while we were there. We were very nervous about the security of our vehicle the entire time. Perhaps 10+ years ago, this was a very nice place to stay. I wouldn't recommend it now and I know we'll never stay there again. read more

Believe what people are saying regarding the staff and their unpleasant attitude relating to their breakfast and food in general! These people truly take their food seriously and watch over it as if they want it themselves. And the food is not even top notch! I'm going to make this really brief. Checked in with a rep. by the name of Hardy who had a very dry greeting as if he didn't even want to be there...not enthusiastic at all. And for $132 A NIGHT for a room located in this particular area, one would think that staff would be a little bit more welcoming to guest who are paying such and definitely should be friendly to those who are retuning guest (yet instead, Hardy even tried to charge us more!) Moving on, if they do speak to you in the hall way, it doesn't feel genuine. And you always feel like you're being watched in this small hotel. Overtime you come out of your room you better believe a staff member will pop out of no where. With that said, this property provides a breakfast ticket for each party in the room. Our room had a total of 4 guests, thus, we were given breakfast tickets accordingly. However, after I had my breakfast, I then shortly after came back downstairs to retrieve a breakfast plate for a disabled guest who I was sharing the room with and whom couldn't come down to get his plate. Anyhow, upon producing the a ticket for the other guest. The African American cook took the ticket and started preparing the plate until his female co-worker came out of no where (hispanic lady) and began whispering to him and questioning why he was making a second plate for me. He then abruptly turned around and asked me, "Is this plate for yourself or....?" Basically, hinting that I had already eaten and could not get a second plate. I then had to explain that the plate was not for me and that we had 4 guest assigned to our room and that he could confirmed such with the front desk! This behavior was so embarrassing, so tacky, so unprofessional and so unnecessary. And when we were asked how was our stay at the end by the sales manager Brianna. I explained what happened, only for for her to start laughing in the middle of me explaining and she didn't even offer a single remedy! This property is not worth your hard earn money! read more

My aunt flew out from Colorado this past weekend for my baby shower and she stayed here. She was beyond satisfied with her stay and didn't want to leave. Her room was nice, she loved the breakfast and dinner they offered. But not only that the customer service was outstanding I hope the management reads these reviews and takes the time to thank Brent (night shift) and Diane. Brent really took good care of her. He was personable and friendly (even though he's a raider fan;) She had nothing but great things to say about them. I live in Lancaster but it makes me want to stay a night at the Oxford inn :) thank you for making her trip great and I know she will being staying with you every visit to California . read more

If you are looking for a decently priced hotel in an area with many nearby restaurants, etc...or for a long term stay, like we are, the Oxford is awesome! There is a great little pool & spa tub in a courtyard area (so, it stays shaded much of the day) that never seem crowded, even when the hotel is full. They also include a daily hot breakfast with freshly made eggs to order, a waffle bar (small, but adequate), and decent coffee, also Mon-Sat they include what they call appetizers, but it's actually enough to be dinner, with a nice salad every time, and 2 free drinks (wine, beer or soda). Their Merlot is actually good! Laundry is onsite ($1 wash/$1 dry), and they are pet friendly. The best thing I can say about it, though, is the staff are all wonderful! The hotel and grounds are very well-maintained and always clean. The interior looks to have been recently updated. They include a daily hot breakfast with freshly made eggs to order, a waffle bar (small, but adequate), and decent coffee, also Mon-Sat they include what they call appetizers, but it's actually enough to be dinner, with a nice salad every time, and 2 free drinks (wine, beer or soda). Their Merlot is actually good! Laundry is onsite ($1 wash/$1 dry), and they are very pet friendly. Although there is only a small patch of grass in the rear parking lot for your pets to go, there is a great off leash dog park about 8 miles away (Beside Paraclete High School off of 30th Ave W & Ave M). The best thing I can say about it, though, is the staff are all wonderful! The hotel and grounds are very clean and look to have been recently updated. It seemed s little pricey at first for a small chain, but when we considered how much is included, it actually cuts our costs by about $100/day, by not having to take the family out to eat every meal. I highly recommend it over any of the larger chains, just by the staff alone. But, you won't be disappointed in this little gem, regardless. read more

First let me start off by saying the best customer service experience ever. I have been staying here for 3 weeks, and I love it. I work in construction skilled labor, and I have to moderately travel for work. The employees of the Oxford are the nicest group of people I've ever had the pleasure to be around. I've stayed at many hotels/motels for around the same price, and the Oxford cost some more but is highly worth it. They cook up a delicious breakfast and dinner almost everyday. Yum plus 2 beers on the house. The rooms are clean, and pleasant. Most motels around are depressing janky disgusting hovels as I have had the unpleasant experience of staying at, until a room opened up at the Oxford. On top of everything they offered to fill up my ice chest with ice twice a week. I will be a lifelong customer. read more

DISHONEST. DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked my reservation on Kayak. Got to the hotel and I had a pleasant stay. Before leaving, I asked the receptionist for a receipt, and she said that since I booked my stay on Kayak, she couldn't give me a receipt. A couple weeks later I see that not only had Kayak charged me $95 for the stay on my credit card (which was expected), I was also charged $73 by this DISHONEST hotel! Why would the receptionist tell me she had no receipt if my credit card was on file? Do you not think people check their credit card statements? Kayak is now investigating this matter for me and has been on the phone with the hotel for a refund to my card for over 30 minutes, and we are still on hold... Talk about trying to cut the middle man out...and extort from customers. This is pathetic. I go to Lancaster once a month for business, but I will be looking for better options in July. read more

So, coming into this hotel, based off the pictures, I expected better. It wasn't the worst stay I've had, but it could have been much better. What it comes down to is if you care about customer service and room size or not. The room was VERY small for a hotel, and the staff had to be contacted multiple times for a single request. We had our twins with us and needed a crib. The staff was asked to bring a crib to our room not once, not twice, but three separate times over a three hour period. What gets better is the lack of water pressure, the fact that you constantly have to be on your toes in the shower (no pun intended), because the water changes temperature quickly and drastically. I was frozen and then immediately boiled within 30 seconds, for example. However, the reason for two stars instead of one... the bed was generally comfortable and the free breakfast was actually quite good for free. Stay at your own risk.... read more

hotel was a little overpriced, I think. But it included a fantastic breakfast. Beds are comfy. The hallway carpet is busy, like in Vegas and the smoking floor odor seeps up through the elevators. But the room was clean, staff friendly. Biggest complaint was that when the maid service cleaned up the room, my white shirt must have been rolled up with the white sheets. I called the front desk but of course no one had seen it. so despite losing a nice shirt, it was an okay stay. read more

My husband and I stayed here while picking up our dog from training at Off Leash K9 in SoCal on our way back to San Francisco area. It was difficult to find a place that allows dogs without such a steep price. We chose this hotel and it was actually a pleasant surprise. They have complimentary dinner and up to two drinks at the bar the night your arrive and every night you stay. Unfortunately we didn't do either of these as we arrived as it was ending but several guests (maybe 20?) were enjoying a drink in the lounge when I arrived. Anyway like the other yelpers said the room is small but it didn't bother us as it was clean and the furniture is new. We slept well and got up early and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. This is a top of the line breakfast for a hotel, made to order omelets, eggs, and breakfast burritos along with the standard yogurt, cereal, bagels--and it was delicious. The staff was very friendly. Needless to say if we make this drive again we will be sure to reserve a room! read more

From a seasoned traveler---for business and with kids, this hotel is a gem. Great price. Includes a fantastic hot breakfast and light dinner with free beer, wine and soft drinks. We did not use the pool, but it looked inviting. The rooms are clean and nicely accommodated. The hotel has recently been remodeled. The staff is efficient and friendly. I can not express at how impressed I am with the customer service I received today!!! I was thinking n Lancaster for my mother-in-law's surgery. I called on my drive out and asked for an early check in so I could drop my stuff and head to the hospital. They accommodated me without hesitation! Well the surgery ended up not happening at the last minute and postponed to hopefully the next week. I went back to the Inn and grabbed my stuff to head home (because I couldn't spend 2 weekends away from my kids). I went to the front desk ready to explain why I was checking in and out after only a couple of hours and to hear "sorry you still need to pay". Well to my surprise they refunded me stay!! I can not attest to what it's like there over night but as I dropped my stuff in the room it seemed very clean. They also offered me a free dinner (it's a set menu that night was fettuccine Alfredo with chicken) 2 drink tickets at their bar and free breakfast in the morning! Who else does this?!?! I also checked out the gym while I was there. It is a small but very nice gym. About 5 machines and a sauna. I can't wait to stay there next weekend!!! read more

Let me just begin by saying, WOW! I definitely didn't expect this from a hotel in Lancaster. It was 100% hospitality from the second I walked in the door. Even with the amount of people they are accommodating, I still felt like the only guest there. Janet at the front desk was wonderful. In the middle of a 30 degree night Janet greeted me like it was a sunny beautiful 70 degree afternoon. Sensing that I might be tired she told me everything I needed to know without holding me up for too long and got me up to my room as soon as she could. She also told me the perfect time to show up for breakfast in the morning so that I didn't get stuck in a line and made late for work. After a great nights sleep I had some delicious eggs cooked to perfection and biscuits with gravy. Got in that night around 6:30 and got to enjoy it all over again. Complimentary dinner was awesome by the way. From Brent to Justin to Katy, and anyone I'm forgetting, everything and everyone was great. Definitely looking forward to going back and suggesting it to anyone traveling through. read more
