We stayed in a newly renovated room. We checked in on a Tuesday and checked out on Friday. It was very clean and the hotel was quite. Front staff was very friendly. Can not comment on maid service, we cleaned up after ourselves. There is a gym that I did not use and there was also a laundry facility that we used which was very convenient. Free wifi!! I felt safe staying here. I would definitely recommend this place I had a first floor suite, the sleeping area and the living area was separated we had a full-size refrigerator which was very nice to have. Front desk had good customer service at night and morning. Clean hotel. They have a lobby where you can print and use computers, a small bar/lounge area. At check in you'll receive three tickets 2 for two free drinks at the bar (can be beer or no alcoholic beverages), 1 for free breakfast. I thought the free breakfast was going to be muffins/doughnuts-a simple one, BUT..I was wrong! Full breakfast. Breakfast burritos/eggs/bacon/sausage/different cereals/different yogurts/waffles/bagels and much more. All rooms have a private balcony too viewing the pool and jacuzzi area. Here for our grandson's Little League Allstars games. Hotel is centrally located. Very popular with construction workers & others with large trucks. The parking lot & street were packed. Visibility trying to get out was compromised. First impression was, is that mold growing on the balconies? No, it's just the ugliest green color I've ever seen. The choice of paint colors is horrible. Front office staff was very friendly. They had air going full blast which was appreciated since it was hot & humid. Hotel is very clean. They do a nice hot breakfast with fresh fruit. They'll even cook eggs to order on the flat top! Coffee is hot but weak. Little cups. They do a "light" dinner-big surprise, see attached pictures. We ate elsewhere. Staff friendly. Pool area was clean & nice. Beds are squishy & so you roll to the center. I had the pool suite. Chair at desk felt like cushion was shot. No paper towels in kitchen. You have to request kitchen items. Just supply disposable stuff & supply the kitchens please. Nice hand lotion supplied. Pump bathroom items installed in shower. Bathroom is so small that you can't open door if you're sitting on toilet. There are no air conditioning vents in bed or bathroom area. You have to freeze out the living area to make the other areas bearable. Screen door was torn & unlockable, outside table broken. Safety became a concern when 1 boy was approached by a vagrant outside front lobby. Later, same guy attacked a parent & hit him. Police were called. Overall, fit our needs for location, cleanliness, decent breakfast & nice staff. read more

My partner and I are Pacific Crest Trail hikers, we needed a day off trail and hitch hiked in to Lancaster. We were calling around trying to find a good hotel to stay at. When I called the Oxford the gentlemen (Harvey) on the phone sold me on the place immediately. He searched to find any discounts we were eligible for, finding one that brought us down about 10$. We were car-less (were hikers) and he offered to let us come early and enjoy the AC and pool area until are room was ready. We went to get food instead and around 2 called to check in about our room, it wasn't ready yet but he went ahead and upgraded our room for free. It was so nice! That evening we had a few FREE drinks at the bar and the bartender (Mayra) was such a peach! She was so fun to chat with. In the morning we had an awesome complimentary breakfast. I noticed my card was charged incorrectly and they immediately fixed it, no hassles. We were also able to check out late! Then when we were waiting for our ride back to the PCT they let us hangout inside. This was a really excellent experience and I highly recommend staying here. read more

Don't let the outdated exterior and halls fool you! Really nice rooms, great amenities, and really friendly staff. Service is excellent! Rooms are much more modern than you would think at first glance! The shower actually had some of the best pressure of a hotel I have been to in a long time. Anytime you walk by staff they stop to say hi! The place seems to be mostly local business people using it as an extended stay hotel which is why I was there visiting one such individual. I stayed here for work, 3days/wk for 5months (ending in June 2017). I absolutely LOVED the staff! 90% of them knew me by name and greeted me w/a smile every time I saw then. Breakfast was awesome & dinner is also served every night except Sundays (I believe). The rooms were comfy & I never had any issues that were not easily resolved. Real breakfast! Options and all. I spoke to Joanna (hope I got her name right) She was very kind and everybody at front desk were kind as well. After driving 7 hours and being stuck in a snow storm looking for shelter (tired) a nice conversation and smiles really changes things. I really wish this place continues in business. My family and I had a wonderful time- we stayed three nights, the rooms were clean, had microwaves and fridges, comfy beds, and plenty of hot water. But the breakfast! They put on a spread- and thought of all the little details, like lemon juice packets for tea, an oatmeal bar, hot waffles, and they had a staff member cooking food to order who went out of her way to make sure we were happy. We wanted for nothing. The kids enjoyed the pool, we enjoyed the jacuzzi, and we will definitely be back (we are from Sacramento, but we have awesome friends who live in Lancaster!) read more

If you think the staff of a hotel doesn't make a difference, you haven't stayed at the Lancaster Oxford Inn. The facility and the rooms are adequate -- nice, clean, but nothing special. The staff was AMAZING. Absolutely every person we encountered actively sought to make our stay more pleasant. From the nice lady who cooked our free breakfast, to the friendly guy who cooked our free dinner, to the gentleman who saw that we were packing to leave and brought up the bell cart before we could even request it, to the janitor who kindly greeted us, to the manager who spoke with us as people rather than "customers" -- it is clear that all of these folks take pride in their hotel and want you to enjoy it and return. If we are ever again in Lancaster, we shall, indeed. read more

Brittney and her staff were extremely accommodating for a film shoot. We booked like 30 rooms and she was really production budget friendly. The actors and crew loved the rooms, especially the complimentary evening drink nights. They loved that! I enjoyed their downstairs bar as well. I personally didn't stay inside the hotel room but i didn't hear any complaints. If i'm ever in Lancaster, this would be the hotel i would stay at. read more

A friend recently suggested that I stay here while in the AV on business. After staying here several years ago, I was hesitant to return. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the rooms had been updated with new beds, flat screen TVs, and granite counters. The beds were comfortable, although the pillows were all on the firm side. I like hotels that give you some firm pillows & some soft ones too. Yes, the hallways are still dated, but the rooms are much nicer. A nice bonus feature is the 2 drinks / night at the downstairs bar. The breakfast is also surprisingly good, with made-to-order breakfast burritos being the best part. I would definitely choose a room away from the freeway, as the noise can get a bit high. Well, the walls are pretty thin too, so I would consider bringing earplugs too. I actually jumped out of bed at 6 AM searching for the room phone, only to realize that my neighbors were getting their wake-up call. Not appreciated. Overall, the Oxford Inn is totally doable. Getting an $89 AAA rate also cannot be beat. read more

Came here for for a staycation. This place is very clean and the staff is super friendly. Great perks 2 free drinks (draft beer/well/soft drinks) per person and a complimentary breakfast buffet. POSITIVES: Room was nice and clean, shampoo, conditioner, & body was was provided, free breakfast. NEGATIVES: HOTEL FRONT DESK AGENTS AND "MANAGEMENT" were rude, unprofessional and lacked empathy!! Even before I arrived at the hotel I had a bad experience with this hotels staff over the phone. They had my reservation incorrect in their system.(their fault) They had my last name and first name transposed. I had to call 3x's before they could figure that out. I was there for a softball tournament (checked in on a Thursday and had reserved all the way until Sunday) and there was a two night minimum. Our girls were eliminated on Saturday (late morning, early afternoon). Some of our families, including mine, wanted to check out a day early. Two of our families were told that yes they could check out a day early and would not be charged. One of our families decided to leave and I know for a fact that they were not charged BECAUSE THEY WERE GIVEN A RECEIPT UPON CHECK OUT!!!! I asked 3x's and was told no every time, the buck was passed several time and was even told..."well that's the risk that you take"....WHAT RISK??!! I was there for my child's state championship softball tournament!!! I was told several times.... "well if you would have" etc etc. EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF!! Out of the 3 or 4 staff I interacted with, nobody apologized to me or stated that they understood my frustration. That would have spoke volumes!!! It was about 2pm when we had asked to check out and not be charged for Saturday into Sunday. The hotel was sold out and I know that they could have easily cleaned our room and sold it again at a higher rate!! The hotel would have made out!!!! Also the pool was small and dirty, parking was the pits, the Wi-Fi WAS SOOOO SLOW AND TOOK A VERY LONG TIME TO CONNECT. I will not be staying at this hotel next year when our girls compete at the state championship and I will be sure to spread the word to the parents in my league and other leagues in San Diego County. read more

Not so crazy about the sink and mirror being a part of the main room...the one who has to get up early wakes up the one who gets to sleep! Having a balcony with chairs overlooking the pool was nice...although, I had to call them (twice) to get our missing chairs back. Free breakfast is typical American continental. The rate is very reasonable, and the service is excellent! I stayed in a double queen non smoking room. The downfall of it is when you entered it had a musty scent, it's dark, and just the fact that you have to present a voucher for a complimentary breakfast & dinner, which I took take advantage of for breakfast & ended staying an extra night and didn't want to be bothered with having to go to the front desk for a ticket for breakfast that morning. You get a bar ticket to use at the lobby bar each night off your stay and a breakfast ticket to use for their wonderful hot breakfast every morning. First, you get what you pay for, and Oxford Suites was on the less expensive side of decent hotels in Lancaster. Once we were there, we could see why. The outside of the hotel looks somewhat dirty and tired. Dirt and cigarette butts were strewn here and there. The parking lot is in very serious need of repair and repaving. Inside, the atmosphere is dark. The rooms (at least the one we stayed in) are very small, and there wasn't even room to put a suitcase without getting in the way of something else in the room. The furniture is dated, and there is only one elevator, which is somewhere in the middle of the building (we always had to try to remember where it was). The elevator takes it time; all stairs are on the outside of the building. In our room, one of the lamps was missing hardware (which we asked about at the front desk, and they did send someone from the maintenance staff up to fix it). Another lamp was not even plugged in - we finally found one vacant plug for it behind the refrigerator. There are no outlets at the desk. The bed had two small bed pillows - that's it. A coating from the top of the refrigerator was peeling away. There was a hot grab 'n go breakfast, which was okay; however, we would not choose this hotel again. read more

my husband and i recently stayed at oxford inn to celebrate our 12 year wedding anniversary. the staff was very friendly, room was clean, located close to marie callendars and carrows so no need to drive anywhere for dinner unless you want to .... as for the breakfast the waffles and coffee were great but don't eat the breakfast burritos. soggy tortillas with cheese like paste, flavorless eggs, and sausage. totally disgusting!!! read more

I had to stay here again due to the fact that I'm having tile install in my home. The first night we had some type of pasta. I did not like it. I guess I'm so used making my pasta with basil, pepper, and other yummy ingredients. Breakfast was the best, but they seem to have same breakfast items every morning. The breakfast burrito is big and very delicious. I requested a crib and had one sent right away to my room. I did not get my pool view room like I requested but it's not the end of the world. Got an OK view. The ladies and one guy in the front are very friendly. Delila (I think that's how you spell her name) was great. The young lady I saw in the main lobby this morning remembered me from the last time. She is very friendly. The rooms are very spacious. I had this time a kitchen and living room. The room has two TVs and also a dinning area. It felt like home. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. I live near other hotels but this will always be my number one choice. I give it 4 stars again due to the pasta and we experienced rude people screaming in the hallway at 2 in the morning. read more

When you walk into the check in area, everything looks nice but the rooms are garbage. We only stayed one night and requested a non-smoking room and when we got into the room it had a heavy smell of cigarettes. When I went to use the phone to call the front desk and let them know, the phone didn't work and had no dial tone. We got the king sized room and it was tiny. They had tiny pillows on the king sized bed instead of king sized pillows and the AC was ridiculously loud to the point that if you were falling asleep and that thing kicked on you'll definitely be woken up. There was no menu setting on the TV remote so you were stuck surfing channels until you found something you could stand to watch. As far as the shower goes, it was either boiling hot or freezing cold and had absolutely no water pressure behind it. After checking out and walking outside there was some pissed off J-cat bum who was trying to fight everyone in sight that they didn't seem very concerned about. Over all, stay at the holiday inn across the street we had friends over there and the rooms are much nicer, cleaner, and only a few $$$ more per night. read more

This is an old fashion Hotel, meaning they care about your stay. Rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable and bathroom is well stocked. Everyone that works there is friendly and helpful. Let start by saying that if it wasn't for the In-house customer service, this place would have received one star. The are ok, but if you are looking for a goodnight sleep, forget about it. The walls and floors are so thin you can hear everything going on. If you are lucky enough to get the 4th floor go for it. The amenities as far as free drinks and breakfast are good, but the spring hill suites down the road has the same deals and better accommodations. After you are done with the Oxford their customer service goes out the door with you. They would not take as good of care of you after you check out. They were suppose to mail some items promised to us upon checkout and after calling twice and a month past, we haven't received anything. read more

Room was adequate, not particularly big but clean and comfortable, the only real negative to the room itself was extremely small refrigerator, which I found out after putting a bottle of water in there is basically just a freezer. However this hotel is a pretty good deal for the money, you get free breakfast buffet, free dinner, cafeteria style, and two free drinks, and yes they can be alcoholic if you like. A lot of contractors stay here, probably cuz of the free beer, which is fine but I'm not sure if it's the most family friendly atmosphere. Personally I will stay here again. read more

Bad area, people smoking outside their balconies near the pool where many kids are swimming. Very outdated. No decor in my room. Makes a big difference! Creaking whenever you would walk. The outside stairs feel like they are going to fall apart. Looks and feels like an upgraded motel 6. I gave it 2 stars because the bed was pretty comfortable and shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. There is little water pressure. The pool was on the cleaner side.
