The smog check guy (mid to late 50s) was extremely rude. He acted like my presence was an inconvenience and gave off nothing but bad energy. Let me start by saying, wonderful employees inside the gas station. No problems with the inside staff. My issue is with the smog service attached to the building. The technician, older hispanic man in his 50's basically stole $47 from me. He claimed a wire under my car was tampered with and that's why he failed me. I've had the car pass before, and the previous owner has for many years. I paid for the service as one should. I go to my mechanic 5 minutes down the road and told him what happened, he said, 'that makes no sense'. He fixes whatever the technician was talking about. I go back to the smog station only for him to tell me immediately that he won't pass me. He claims my car needs 3 catalytic converters. I notice his computer, he looked up a vehicle similar to mine in how it looks. I have an Infiniti, he was looking up a Nissan model which has 3. My car factory built has 2. He said it doesn't matter. So I cut my losses and left. Just a fair warning to anyone who thinks he won't try to fail you and refuse to do a free retest based on incorrect information. read more

Let's start off, this isnt a safe place, druggie and homeless panhandling.. the space to pull in just a regular truck is too small.. The store is creepy and not clean... The staff, OMFG the most indignant people you will ever encounter.. Pump wouldn't pump fuel but REALLLLLM SLOW, I released the handle a dozen times, it wouldn't speed up.. another guy pulled up after I started pumping and the cashier( rude AF) started to pump fuel in the other truck, looked over at me and told me to release the handle so it would pump faster....I said I have a half dozen times already.. THEN CAME HIS ATTITUDE, .. I never said anything to him, so they already know the equipment is faulty... he GRABS the handle out of my hand, PRECEEDED to jam it Deeper into the fill hole, like that's going to help.. he walked OFFf inside and shut my pump off! Never said ANYTHING to me.... WOW just WOW , I needed more diesel, so I just went up the street and for 4 cents more PER gallon, I was in and out in 3 minutes, unlike the wated 15 at this store.... Seriously some of the RUDEST people at that store that you will ever encounter, there is a problem with THEIR PUMPS. Needed a smog test today, so I went by two well-rated smog check businesses, but one was closed today, and the tech was out to lunch at the other. Then, driving down Oxnard Blvd, I saw that the ARCO station at 7th and Oxnard Blvd had a smog check service. There was one customer ahead of me...it was a driver, her elderly father, and two young daughters. Jose, the technician, set up several chairs for them to wait while he checked their emissions, and in a few minutes, their SUV passed, and it was my turn. My smog check was fast and $50. So, I'd recommend this place...it's a busy gas station, but don't let that put you off. Jose gets it done. read more

Perfectly fine gas station on Oxnard Blvd, not far from the Amtrak. Easy in and out, but you do have to pay inside, so that's a little less convenient than pay at the pump. Staff was polite and professional and my transaction was smooth and simple. They offer diesel and their prices on gas were fair. Mini mart has standard selection of drinks and snacks. I'd stop here again if I'm in the neighborhood and need fuel! read more
