Got a smog test (which didn't pass) am not sure why because smogged it a year ago just fine but the technician couldn't even tell me why because he was unsure nor did he even care to try. They had a coupon online that made me choose this place. It's near DMV which is also very convenient. You can stay in the car while they do the testing. It's about 20 minutes of testing. The staff if super friendly and informative. They didn't try to do anything but give me the service I asked for. Nice to find places where it's honestly a good service. Smog was done as expected. They sent in the paperwork to dmv and I was done. Value was comparable to other places. But I do recommend this place as it's easy breezy. Good deal. read more

Wow! When I say fast and efficient service, it was done before I thought we started. The person who helped me was so kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend coming here. You can stay in your car for the service which is so convenient, and again it was so fast. They provide you with the certificate, and it also gets sent directly to DMV. That is probably standard, but I'm not sure. The line to the place is the far left lane, so just make sure you pay attention to that. The other lanes are for oil changes. I don't usually leave 5 star reviews as I feel that requires extraordinary service as well as the product. Today I will leave one. The technician greeted me courteously, guided me in to where I needed to have my car and gave me clear instructions, before during and after the smog test. The test took all of maybe 5 minutes. He informed me the test result had been provided to the DMV and gave me my copy of the test result and certificate, and away I went. Was able to use a coupon that they had in their website. Went today to get a Smog check. I didn't catch the bearded man's name but he was very polite and professional. I know I could have gotten a smog somewhere for cheaper like $40 but this place offers a $15 off coupon which brings the total smog price to $51.50 out the door. For me I'll pay $10 more for the convenience and comfort of staying in my car and the speediness. The guy was so fast, he was hustling, even though no one was behind me . Total time took maybe 10 minutes while I sat in my car on my heated seat. I would highly recommend to anyone. I had inquired after my smog inspection as to where to find their posted quotes per BAR protocol and was told i already signed the paper (wrong answer!) ...so here we go. I hope this goes as a lesson for how to do business right. California smog inspections typically run 30$-60$. I chose this location in Ventura on Telephone because i found a 15$ off coupon. Apparently because of this they will jack up your rates and write the invoice so illegibly that you have to communicate with them about what they wrote to find their actual quoted value on the ticket (I will post a photo of this down below). In California this is a contractual grey area. I ended up having to pay them 51.50$ despite having a 15$ off coupon, with them having no interest in answering their reasoning for these prices. They also misplaced my registration renewal form so I have to wait in line at the DMV instead of using the fast-kiosk. Consequentially I have already spoken to the Bureau of Automotive Repair and will be sending them the receipts after I write this. I was told a Field Agent will be contacting me in several days which I will inform them that a full audit and investigation is necessary. it did not have to go this way but seeing as to whom i'm dealing with it may be the only way to get through to this business. This is my first time visiting an express smog and testing site. My registration is due in two days. This was a one stop shop. I was able to have my smog test performed by a very efficient and kind gentleman named David. He was helpful and caring and I passed the smog test .I also did an oil change and cabin filter change. However, when I went to get my 1993 f-150 smogged they admitted this was false advertisement and they only test 1996 or newwer vehicles. Super efficient -- their smog test process lets you stay in the car depending on your vehicle age/type. You just drive up to the area under the smog test banner, and the smog test technician will guide you through the process. I have to say my technician, David, made the process efficient and painless, and I will definitely come back here for future smog checks if I still live in the area. For me, this process required handing over the DMV notice with the smog test notation, which was later returned to me, and then reading out the odometer value. With my car in park and the engine still on, my front driver's side door was opened so the technician could scan the VIN and hook a cable up to my vehicle OBDII for the test. Then my front driver's side door was closed, and the technician continued his inspection and the rest of the test. Once the test was complete, I was handed an invoice, paid cash (check for coupons before you get here), and was presented a printed copy of the test result while also told that the certificate would be transmitted electronically to the DMV. Since I had no vehicles in line ahead of me, the whole process took less than 7 minutes. read more
