Who gives any surgeon five stars???…read more I had four bony, impacted wisdom teeth and was suffering for months in pain. I went on yelp to find Dr. Lew and was a bit nervous because there were only 5 reviews, but they were all 5 star. Hmm. It certainly peaked my interest and frankly, at that point I'd had it with the pain. I had to throw in my fear towel and make the appointment. The thought of surgery in my 30's freaked me out because thankfully I haven't needed any. I made an appointment for the consult and the receptionist handled me with care and made me feel at ease. The following week I met with Dr. Lew, he has such a cool and informative demeanor which can also easy your fear. In the consult Dr. Lew went over x-rays, explained everything to me in thorough detail, gave me a print out of what to expect, told me complication possibilities and the like. We booked the surgery for 2 weeks out in Jan. A week before he called in the prescriptions to my closest drug store so I wouldn't have to bother with it after surgery. Surgery day: Scared to death of being put under, he had me laughing and then I was out. I woke up in a wheel chair and next my best friend drove me back to her house and I passed out. That first day was super duper hazy, but I kept being awakened to have my gauze removed, ice pack changed, take my Motrin and antibiotics. I ended up not even needing the real pain killer! YESSSS! I was so happy it was over and I was in less pain than I was when I started. I've had all of my post surgery check ups and I've made it!!! I am so grateful I was put in Dr. Lew's hands because with all of the complications that could've happened with me being at moderate risk. I would recommend this Dr. Lew and staff to all. I don't have insurance and that wasn't special enough to receive a serious discount! hahaha. So what I'm saying is basically, it's worth every penny, arm and leg!

For the first few years, they made me feel at ease every visit and I was religiously going in every 6 months for teeth cleaning and check up. When they moved to the Koreatown office is when it started to feel like they were starting to push me to fix numerous things and that number would increase every visit. I eventually never dealt with Dr. Arezoo or Dr. Azy unless it was very brief. Some teeth cleaning were done poorly and some other assistants were not pleasant to deal with. Prices kept increasing bc of Covid and supply issues yet every time I go in the office there are new gadgets. I went in to replace my crown and they took x-rays 4xs bc they wanted to make sure the crown would fit. There was a time when dentists didn't need all these toys and they managed just fine. The kicker was their new financial policy they wanted me to sign. $150-$300 per hour cancellation fee! In the 14 years I have never been late to an appointment and last time I had to cancel that morning bc I woke up with a fever and had to go to urgent care and they tried to charge me $200. They said I should have known I was going to be sick. That is unreasonable and disgusting to charge people that much. I asked what our compensation would be if they had to cancel on patients last minute and they made excuses. I'm so sick of everyone being greedy. I suggest you go elsewhere.
