I was told my dental insurance would cover 80-90% of everything, but it didn't turn out that way when I was provided my treatment plan. Definitely would not say it's a flaw in the dental office so I'd highly recommend coming here for a smooth wisdom teeth procedure. I was also scheduled a follow up appointment a week after and the services given were super consistent!!

Right from the beginning I was greeted with a smile and TREATED LIKE I WAS VERY IMPORTANT. This mattered a lot to me after going to a couple of different dentists who were treating my mouth like a sales room floor. Dr. Lew calmly and thoroughly explained everything that he was doing during my inital scan and exam. After setting the date for my wisdom teeth extraction, he discussed how the entire procedure was going to go, including anesthesia, and eliminated any nerves I had about this surgery. After having my procedure, Dr. Lew and his staff even reached out and called to see if I was feeling OK! 8 days after having my bottom two wisdom teeth removed and I am healing like a pro! Despite my repeated efforts to communicate my work schedule and availability, she continues to schedule appointments during times I've clearly stated I'm unavailable. Rather than working collaboratively to find a solution, her responses have been dismissive and, frankly, rude. I've tried to remain patient and respectful, but the ongoing communication issues have made it incredibly difficult to continue care at this office. It's unfortunate that such a skilled provider is represented by staff who do not reflect the same level of professionalism or courtesy. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office particularly due to the poor front desk interactions. In 3 years, she was able to remove all 4 root canals, do multiple fillings, and has gone out of her way to provide outstanding care. She is very experienced and her work really speaks for itself. I currently live in West Covina and I still drive 30 minutes to Silverlake just to see her. The Dr's office always feels very warm and cozy, not the typical "scary" dentist setting. Where do I begin, I'm the type of person that HATES the dentist and has extreme anxiety about being…read moreat one due to traumatic childhood experiences and I can confidently say this dental office has made me feel 1000% at ease. You can read my review of the other place I went to, to compare my night and day difference of an experience. My experience began when I arrived here for a second opinion from another dentist that I went to the day before that I had a completely awful experience at. I was able to book an appointment, got sent instructions for parking and how to find the office and a nice confirmation. The process was so smooth compared to my last place. I also very much so appreciate the questionnaire they made me take where I could share my dental history and general feelings of the dentist. I think because of this the doctors definitely took note of my anxiety being in the office. Upon arrival I was checked in immediately and before I could even finish signing my papers I was already called into the room. Unheard of. I was here because I woke up to an extremely inflamed face that was causing toothache, nerve pinching, etc and I assumed it was from a tooth abscess (self diagnosed through google lol). Dr. Azy was the one who saw me, she was warm and patient while also acknowledging my concerns. If you looked at my face you could see right away something was wrong with how swollen I was. The dental assistant took my x-rays and then she began my examination immediately after. Unlike the other location I went to, she was very careful about how she probed my face and always checked in to see if I was ok or feeling pressure. She even acknowledged that she didn't want to do too much to cause me more pain and explained what she thought it might be and even explained to me how the medications I got prescribed by the previous doctor would help (I got zero explanations from the other place and was almost taking them blindly) I got sent out with follow up instructions and scheduled another check in visit. Even after my visit Dr. Azy called and texted me personally to check up on me. It was so thoughtful and kind and really made me feel like someone actually cared about what was happening to me. Eventually my swelling went down and things completely healed, I came back for my checkup and was able to schedule additional services with them that I was due for: a cleaning and some cavities. I was told I need a deep clean from the other office and here they told me I didn't, I was also quoted for 2 additional cavities at the other place and had less here. I didn't have dental insurance but learned that they have their own in house dental insurance and I chose to go that route just from the experience I had. To follow up I eventually went to my third appointment and was seen by Dr. Nasiry. I really wanted to be seen by Dr.Azy just bc of the comfort I had with her but Dr.Nasiry and team took amazing care of me. From the welcome, injections, procedure, etc everything was done with such grace and kindness. Halfway through the process she could tell I was getting a bit anxious and she paused to give me a break without me even asking. The dental assistant that assisted was also amazing. He really took the time to make sure I had everything I needed and thoroughly explained everything before which really helped with my anxiety. If you are looking for a dental office that truly cares and feels like a well oiled machine I would highly recommend this clinic. It is absolutely one of the best dental offices I've experienced and that's coming from someone who would avoid a dentist like a black plague if she could.
