At first, I thought, how could anyone in Atlanta really know how to make a pizza? I mean, REALLY? But I like to support independent, small, and mom and pop restaurants, and I had a little time to do this. So I did it. The place has a very nice ambience, I went around the early dinner hour, probably about 4 PM. The staff greeted me, and were very polite and welcoming. That is a very unusual thing in the Atlanta area. I ordered a salad and three slices of pepperoni pizza and sat in a booth. For my drink, I had water, which dispensed out of the Coke machine. The water tasted fine, so I'm sure all the other beverages at least start with decent water. The very polite server brought the food a little bit later, and the salad was generous and fresh. The ranch dressing was probably made in the store, and was good. The pizza was served on the aluminum pans from the oven, was hot and fresh and very good. Positives: The young man who took our order was pleasant and provided good customer service. Negatives: 1. Waiting 25 minutes for two slices of pizza is unreasonable, especially when "by-the-slice" options are advertised. 2. After that wait, the pizza wasn't even hot. 3. The Greek salad was very disappointing, ingredients tasted old, the pepperoncini was old, colorless and tasteless and mushrooms were off-putting. Overall, it lacked freshness and quality. 4. The pepperoni pizza was hard, overly oily, and lacked sufficient sauce. 5. The Mack pizza was not worth it heavy, undercooked meat toppings and topped with a large clump of mozzarella that wasn't properly melted or appealing. Ordered 3 slices of Hercules. It's all counter orders so really no service per se other than the order itself. I'm not a fan of taking an already cooked cheese and adding ingredients and more cheese. Just doesn't cut it for me as it doesn't provide a cohesive slide of pizza. That's what I got here. Not a fan but I know others very much enjoy it. I did eat outside which was nice but the tables aren't real stable. Not sure a return visit is in the cards. read more

I ordered from this place on 2 occasion. Each time I ores pizza and both time it was burnt. On one of these times I also ordered lasagne spinach. Ok! Let me tell you what happened. As I was here a few weeks ago, I told Vee she had to have the Oz experience. As such, she chose today to go and of course I was down for some pizza. The ambiance was chill as always. It was 6:30 on a Thursday so it had a real family vibe going on. Since I was heading to volunteer after, Shauni asked me to bring her a slice as well. As she is Lactose Intolerant, she wanted a Slice of "The Mac" with NO CHEESE! I went to the register. Ordered my Pepperoni Slice and my Ground Beef Slice, then I add on Shaunie's order and the young lady tells me that the Slices are Pre-Made so there's no way to remove the cheese... I'm sorry, come again! The utter shock must have been apparent on my face as the young lady paused just like I did. After being baffled by the inability to order a slice WITHOUT Cheese, I just paid for my order and awaited the arrival of my pizza. Though I do eat cheese, I hate knowing that I can't bring my friends who can't eat cheese to Oz. The fact that this is a thing in 2024 truly has me baffled. In any case, my slices arrived. He has an 8x8 area inside the restaurant with these yummy delectable treats you can't find anywhere for purchase but, by him. This was our second time trying Oz pizza. My husband and I went to Oz right before the show, we went to see Cinderella. He and i both ordered calzones. I ordered an Italian beef calzone and he ordered the pepperoni calzone. Both of the calzones were delicious, but the Italian beef calzone tasted amazing!. The wait was about 15 minutes. The one pizza I miss from living in Atlanta is Oz. Was back for a meeting and drove to Fairburn with a work friend and order a couple of salads and a double cheese double pepperoni. The Greek salad - I forget that I don't want black olives and mushrooms on, but even without the edit - a solid option. The pizza - they get it right. Best crust for an every day pizza joint according to me, was told they high quality cheese by the guy I went with who used to own a pizza joint in NOLA. Service - order at the register and they bring it to you at the table - you get your own soft drinks. Ambiance - can't beat the place in the winter - humid and smells like pizza. High ceilings and just a bunch of tables. It's a solid 4 only because I can't give it a 4.5. read more

When we need some good pizza, Oz is the place we call. With their variety of pizzas, there's something for the whole family. Staff is very kind most times and the service is always impeccable. Shop is very clean and has a nice feel to it. Street parking is available and plenty of things to do in the area. Only thing I have to complain about is the cutting of the pizza and the wait time and that's barely an issue. read more

Talk about hidden gem ! Fairly new to Fairburn and I was exploring the area. Came across oz pizza and I so happy I did ! Right in the downtown area fairly spacious area and some Parking directly in the back of the restaurant. It was middle of lunch time so it was busy. Service was fast and cashier was very polite ! I ordered a large cheese with sauce on the side. It is 8 slices. Took about 20 min. Wow this is really tasty! It was the perfect ratio of cheese and sauce. The crust was def hand made fresh. I haven't been here since 2015 when I lived in Atlanta and ordered my entire 7 classes pizza when I was teaching 10th-12th grade high school students. :-) They still have lunch specials which is a plus. I ordered 2 slices of pepperoni and sausage pizza. I didn't know the sausage was kind of spicy so I picked them off. I requested light sauce and a regular amount of cheese on it. My husband ordered an Italian sausage sub with onions and peppers. Outcome: My pizza was hot and cheesy which is how I like it. I requested well done pizza as well, so they did what I requested. The flavor crust of the pizza was different from how I remember, so my lunch was decent today, just not great. My husband didn't really like his sub. He wanted grilled onions and peppers and they must've forgotten. We had lemonade while dining and it was good and cold. If we had to do it all over again, I would order 1 slice of pepperoni, light sauce and the same drink. I only ate one slice so it was a waste for me to select 2. My husband said he will get a calzone with pepperoni. He can't eat the marinara sauce so he didn't eat pizza. We will visit in the near future. read more

To my surprise, my slice of pizza was forgotten & didn't make its way to my table only until after expressing my concern to the young lady/ cashier for the second time.
