Wandered in during a weekday night and it was certainly already busy but we were able to get a table easily. I ordered the miso soup, the spicy salmon and shrimp tempura roll. Fish was all delicious and the soup hit the spot since it had been getting colder. Would love to come back and try their omakase. One of the better sushi spots in park slope.

CS is fantastic, ambiance so, so, food excellent. I would definitely go back on my next visit to Brooklyn. Limited seating, definitely make reservations.

We came here on a Thursday night for a birthday dinner. We made a reservation beforehand for 7:15PM but could've walked in. I don't recommend it though because shortly after we were seated, it did get very crowded. 4/5 ordered the full omakase ($120) which came with 3 appetizers, 1 sashimi plate, 9 pieces of sushi and 1 hand roll and dessert. Since there were a few dishes I didn't like in the full omakase, I opted for the sushi dinner. Overall, it was a very relaxed setting and I would recommend coming here. The fish was fresh and the service was fast.

Made a reservation for a Saturday night and had a great dinner here! My boyfriend and I each ordered the sushi dinner (sashimi + roll + miso soup) and it was really good. Standouts were some incredible tuna and salmon. Overall I thought it was a great value and I will return for their omakase at the bar. 4.5 stars.

I've heard that Sushi Lin was the best sushi in prospect heights and ... the rumor is true, y'all. Wanted a low-key bday celebration this year for my birthday tonight and Sushi Lin didn't disappoint. The ambience gives off local neighborhood restaurant but the food is where the magic lies. We started with two regular sushi rolls: spicy salmon and spicy scallop roll. Both were impeccably fresh and mimicked the sort of freshness I experienced when traveling through Japan. The fish is melt in your mouth delicious. For dinner, I got a sushi combo dinner that came with sashimi, 5 piece sushi and a roll, all chosen by the sushi chefs. This was divine as well. The menu is simple. But every piece of fish I had was seriously bursting with flavor. So if you're a fan of high-quality sushi and sashimi, you'll love it here.

It's a nice sushi spot and I may probably come back once. I liked the atmosphere inside. It's cool that you can sit at the counter and watch people cooking for you, but you need to make a reservation beforehand. It's good that they have a different sized Omakase, so you can still enjoy it even if you are short on budget or not that hungry, it's just good to have options. Unfortunately, all my Omakase were made with lots of wasabi. Wasabi is usually added to Omakase, but in this case it was so much that I couldn't actually taste the fish. All in all, the fish was fresh, the atmosphere was nice, the service was ok.

My full omakase experience at Sushi Lin was nothing short of amazing! For $120, the tasting included three appetizers, one sashimi plate, nine pieces of sushi, one handroll, and a dessert. The place appears to be a neighborhood favorite because it was fairly busy on a Tuesday night. Glad we made a reservation at the sushi bar. I enjoyed every item from the tasting and that doesn't happen often. The quality of the fish was fresh, with toppings that complemented each piece quite well. Some honorable mentions include the Kumamoto oyster, hamachi with shishito peppers, wagyu with uni and caviar, truffle salmon, botan ebi, and A5 wagyu. The tofu pudding with brown sugar was a great way to end the meal. Staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience thanks to the chef! I really enjoyed our pieces of sushi and the delicious appetizers. Unfortunately I have to dock off a few points because of personal experience. The beginning was a little rocky. I'm sure this wasn't too big of a deal but we came for our reservation at the sushi bar and we were the first ones at the restaurant. It was completely empty except for us, but they insisted that we sit in the very back where nobody could see us and it was very dark. After asking if we'd be able to be seated at the bar for our omakase, they seemed apprehensive but let us sit there with a time limit. In the end, I did enjoy the food a lot! I just didn't feel the most welcomed at the beginning.

Feasted on their Full Omakase. Memorable for its thoughtful progression. I've had a lot of omakase & I was delighted to find a number of bites truly unique and innovative. The Chef & staff were fantastic. Great Sake menu. I got a picture of everything except a salad, one salmon sushi with tomato & the final hand roll of tuna with (I think) pickles. I tried to label the pictures as best I could, but it really was the various finishing sauces that set the meal apart. Everything was obviously very fresh, and the chef nailed texture temperature & flavors. I thought it was absolutely worth the price. It is the best Omakase I've had in Brooklyn. My favorite in NYC is Tanoshi on the UES, this came very close.

I get the hype. Sushi is super fresh and delicious here, and decently priced (not cheap nor expensive). If I lived closer this would probably be my designated sushi spot. I've only tried the sushi dinner ($37) but would definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Absolutely loveeed Sushi Lin!! Got reservation for a party of 2 on a Friday for 6:30pm. We were seated right away. It is a very small restaurant and you would not expect much by the looks of it. We went to celebrate our birthday. We both got the full omakase for $100. This comes with: 4 appetizer samplers: - 3 types of oysters - Yuzu red snapper sashimi - Kanpachi jalapeno - Squid, tuna, hamachi 8pc Sushi + 1 Handroll - uni toro toast - kanpachi - uni - tuna truffle - seared otoro, uni, caviar - botan - king salmon with charred tomato - tuna & scallion handroll - hokkaido scallop My two favorites were the seared otoro topped with uni & caviar, and the tuna truffle! We each got an additional piece of both!! Everything was fresh and high quality. Dessert - whiskey cake with green tea ice cream. Usually it's sesame pudding but they graciously accommodated my sesame allergy and substituted it with whiskey cake instead No doubt would come back again for a special occasion. Although there wasn't much interaction with the chefs, I didn't mind it all too much because I really enjoyed the flavors of the sushi. However, if you're looking for an interactive vibe, go to "Sushi on Me" in Jackson heights queens, ny.

Even though this place has blown up on Yelp, I still consider it a bit of a sleeper hit! Sushi Lin is a small unpretentious sushi bar that manages to marry serious A grade flavor. The quality for the price you pay is honestly the biggest bang for your buck out here. Go for the Omakase- you won't regret it! You can't go wrong with the menu either and definitely make a reservation due to this place being so popular now!

I came here with my boyfriend for his birthday dinner (he's always wanted to do omakase) and it was great! He was able to do the full omakase and I ordered 2 rolls and the pork gyoza. It was awesome! He loved the omakase experience, my dishes were delicious and the service was amazing. 10/10 recommend!!

Horribly overpriced and overrated by others. $75 for two dishes for takeout? And everything was tiny. No thank you.

I usually call & they have a last minute spot open for my party of 2 at the sushi counter

Are they doing takeout orders now?

I think they are open. Passed by this weekend and saw chefs inside working and a sign outside that says open at 5pm

Is it still BYOB?

Sorry no

How long does full omakase take?

It’s need 1 hours to 2.5 hours. Depends how many people and how busy we are. Thank you

Do u still have live uni today?

Yes we do

My husband had the kaishin don, I had the Ozakaya donburi set and our girls shared the shoyu tonkatsu ramen. The fish was so incredibly fresh here and the rice was seasoned perfectly. My donburi set also came with dashi broth that the waitress later brought over to pour on top of the leftover rice in my bowl to be enjoyed at the end of the meal. The broth and rice combination was really comforting and satisfying. This dish was something I wanted to try in Japan but did not get a chance to experience when there, so I was excited to try it at Ozakaya. I was really pleasantly surprised by the ramen here as well. Although the pork could have been better/more tender, the broth was rich and seasoned so well and not too salty like other places. Last but not least, the service here was excellent and efficient. Lots of people came in and out for takeout orders so that seems to be more of the target audience. Service was quick and polite, we were there until 9:30 and they definitely seemed ready for us to be out of there before the 10PM closing time. As for the specialty rolls, there were some pretty creative options - don't shy away from seemingly odd combinations because the flavors really do work well together. I appreciated the rice:fish ratio on all the rolls, the rice was a thin layer letting the flavor of the other ingredients really come through. The plain spicy tuna roll on the other hand was filled with spicy tuna mixed with something crunchy - maybe puffed rice? It seemed to be an unnecessary filler, I would have preferred just fish. I enjoyed the Lovers Dream and Golden Sunset roll the most. While I was debating it while ordering, in hindsight I would definitely get two rolls per person, maybe more if you're really hungry.

I saw the strong Yelp reviews and decided to take the leap with a pickup order. We ordered two specialty rolls and a spicy tuna roll. The Mystic Dragon roll was the standout for me-absolutely delicious. It had a variety of textures that gave it a great mouthfeel. I think this was my favorite of the three. All the flavors complemented each other beautifully. The strawberry sauce was unexpected but surprisingly worked! I love unique flavor combinations, and this one did not disappoint. The Torched King roll was also excellent. Salmon is my go-to for sushi, and the light torching gave it a subtle smoky flavor that I loved. The yuzu chili sauce added a nice kick--really flavorful and well-balanced. The Spicy Tuna roll was a classic and, of course, delicious. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.
