As he took our order, he knew my daughter wanted a pepperoni pizza AND a large bread stick type appetizer but she couldn't choose... he asked if her could secretly add some pepperoni to the appetizer. Super nice and thoughtful. The pizza (Fat Boy) was outstanding! Perfect amount of sauce, toppings, and cheese! The place doesn't seem like much but I don't think I'd change anything bc it just works. Good food with attitude. Tommy is a real live character, Frendly, super funny and outgoing. He's quite proud of his pizzia and his BBQ... which is Memphis style even though Tommy decended from Cherokee Indians from North Carolina. I think it's significant that he learned how to cook BBQ from the people who invented the food group. (In SC it's a good group.) The pizza was great! We both thought it was as good as it gets. I bought two BBQ sandwiches for lunch tomorrow. I took a bite and think it's good enough to sell in SC where we are snobby about the stuff. Try it! read more

Tommy is so rude. Extremely unaccomodating What can improve - the dump of a building, inside & out. Signs saying No attitude...No loud children (which set wrong with me, he does not want to get that attitude with my grand kids) & possibly Tommy has enough of that for everyone. Their pizza was ok the first time we went there, but the quality has fallen off since then. The place is dingy inside and the outside is unattractive to boot. It appears unkept and uncared for. The service is shoddy and the man behind the counter is almost hateful to customers. He acted like me paying with a credit card was some kind of inconvenience to him. He literally threw the card back at me, turned and walked away without saying anything. The food is outrageously expensive too. Overall I don't plan on going back to this place. If the food was good I could overlook some of the rest but it isn't worth the trouble and the expense. read more

Was in town for a week for work. Not many places to choose from in the area and so glad we found Tommy's! Great little pizza joint that also does very decent BBQ. The place is small and cozy with a small bar(no alcohol) at entrance. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner who was very helpful. My buddy and I decided on the Fat Boy pizza and a rack of ribs. All I can say is that Mountain View is lucky to have such an institution! If ever in the area again I'll definitely be back for more, absolutely love finding these hidden gems! We were visiting from Texas. Party of six showed up at 4:15 on a Saturday afternoon. One table inside occupied. We had our service dog with us, and she was wearing her very clearly marked service vest. One in our group said, "Party of six, please." The sloppily dressed bearded man behind the counter said, "Where's the dog gonna eat? I'm allergic, and I've been sniffling all day." WHAT???? To a man with a SERVICE DOG?? If we hadn't been with friends who wanted to eat there, we would have left that second. If we had been in Texas and that happened, we would've spoken up and reminded this arrogant man of the law requiring restaurants to permit service dogs inside. It is the law in Arkansas as well, and this guy - the son of Tommy who founded the place - happily broke that law. We got the carnivore pizza. It was okay... nothing to write home about. We were hungry, so it fit the bill. Drinks are self-serve inside. Not very large cups, so multiple trips back inside for refills. Lids didn't stay on the cups. It is obvious these people don't care about real customer service and take the lazy way out. They get away with because they're the only game in town. Wouldn't even consider returning here, not because of the food, but because of the arrogant man who didn't give a flip about the needs of a patron with a service dog. Shame on him. read more

Tommy's was awesome! My son and I came in for a pie. It's just a little off the main drag in Mountain View. It's worth the trip over. Shawn was great. He had a fun sense of humor, was super hospitable and nice to talk to. The place was chill like you'd want a pizza place to be. Jack Johnson on the radio and football on the TV. The pies were not your regular New York thin. They are packed with toppings under the cheese and a medium thickness. We had a 14 inch "House Special." This cute and cozy spot was recommended to me by the locals as the best place to have some BBQ. Though food was on point, I was blown away by the atmosphere more. Staff is very welcoming, though if you're not from the town, they'll "evaluate" you first :D. I've been approached with "hey see what you think of this hot sauce, that I made", "Here, compare my hot sauce to this sweet sauce, see which one you like better", "these are rare peppers grown locally, I pickled them myself" or even "here are some chocolate covered coffee beans for you to enjoy on your way back". You may catch random stickers/signs/writings on the walls, that if not make your experience better, will at least make you smile.
