The best Italian subs around! You'll never get one with this much meat in it anywhere else!

The amount of meat in the Italian subs are crazy! And it comes on a braided roll! The folks that work in there (not sure if they're the owners) are super nice.

P&K makes the best Italian grinder in the Greater Boston area. At a deli counter in the back of an unassuming Somerville bodega, you will find a hidden treasure. Meat is sliced to order. Braided rolls are exactly right. A really perfect pickle topping. Fresh all around, and incredibly delicious. Every grinder on the menu is great, but I crave the Italian almost weekly. This is a special place. I have absolutely no complaints, no criticisms, just love and appreciation for this classic small business and its incredibly kind owner. A hustle like no other -- thanks for existing, P&K!

This place is such a hidden gem. It has limited hours if you work office hours, but by all means, try to come by! It's a small shop, nothing fancy... sells some groceries and snacks, and in the back is where the magic happens. The sandwiches here are awesome. For less than $10, you can get a massive, delicious sandwich. My go-to here is the Italian, it's simply fresh and fantastic. Grab a Mexican Coke, a bag of Deep River chips, and your sandwich of choice (you really can't go wrong), and you're good to go. The owner is friendly and a pro-sandwich maker.

I wanted to try something I've never had before, so I ordered their Cape Cod Reuben, made with freshly fried haddock. I was so surprised, it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. A vanishing legend, 1919-2026. But this was my first time being here…read more Corned Beef Reuben: The beef slices were very thin, so there's not much texture or juice; it was like supermarket ham slices. The bread was ordinary; it wasn't toasted with butter, so the aroma was significantly reduced, but the sauce prevented it from being dry. The pickles weren't too sour, and the coleslaw was refreshing and sweet, which I liked. Pastrami Reuben: Completely different from the pastrami I had in Philadelphia. This is more like a reduced-salt version of bacon slices--firmer and oilier, but still quite fragrant. S&S Wings: Signature chicken wings. The sauce was very generous, creating a strong sweet and sour flavor. The fermented flavor of the blue cheese sauce was also very strong. It might be a bit too heavy for my taste. But the meat was tender, and the batter was still a bit crispy, which was interesting. Egg Benedict: A classic breakfast; a soft-boiled egg can't be bad. However, the potato chunks were totally unseasoned, and the hollandaise sauce was ridiculously sour. Potato Pancakes: A unique recipe. I expected something like hash browns or thin shredded potato pancakes, but they were surprisingly thick. They were fried to a fragrant perfection, soft and chewy inside but with a hard crust. The sour cream wasn't sour enough, and the apple sauce was sweet; I couldn't really accept dipping them in it... Blueberry Pancakes: Blueberries were directly added to the pancakes, a first for me. However, the pancakes had a rather rough texture, and I didn't understand why the sweet ones were paired with sausage (or bacon). The sausage was firm, with a strong ginger flavor--very addictive! It's worth mentioning that many toppings/sauces, such as potato chips, honey, and butter, were just pre-made, sometimes without even being unpacked, which felt rather perfunctory. In short: Huge portions, decent taste, worth trying for nostalgia. However, perhaps due to the recent surge in customers, the staff was overwhelmed, resulting in a less than ideal service experience, especially the long wait for seating and ordering (even with a reservation). Those who mind should think twice before going.

We ordered the pesto pepperoni vodka sauce pie and the sausage, peppers & ricotta. Both were incredibly flavorful and came out piping hot. But the pesto pepperoni vodka sauce pizza was the standout for me. The crispy little pepperoni cups, the creamy vodka sauce, and that oily, flavorful pesto drizzled throughout were SO good. I loved how all the flavors and textures came together -- easily one of my favorite pizzas I've had lately. I'd honestly come back just for that pizza alone! The Meatball Parmigiana was delicious with a good amount of garlic. I'm very picky about my meatballs!!! I do prefer my own, but I digress. We've had the Quattro Formaggi Lasagna (4 cheese) because my daughter is a vegetarian. It did not disappoint! My daughter loved it, and I did as well. My ONLY issue is the portion size. The photos make it look like you'll be getting a 9x12 pan, but in fact, the trays are 8.75 inches long by 6.25 inches wide by 1.75 inches deep. They fully disclose that on their website, so my bad for not checking it. Either way, their food is delicious!!

Nice market, great architectural touches, elegant, upscale, the prices reflect that! A pretty nursery upon entrance, on their grounds, huuuge. The selection of food isn't amazing, but you can get what you need. Their bakery is pretty good and prices are Ok-ish, but a quick Tip: shop early, otherwise, the items go fast! We liked their muffins, tried blueberry, cranberry orange, apple and cinnamon. Big, fluffy, full of fruit and flavor! Danishes are on the small sizes, nice croissants. Loved their ham and cheese and turkey and cheese pastries as well. Their cranberry pecans small rolls are nice for coffee. Juice selection is minimal and prices are high! Service varies- most of the folks we dealt with were nice, one cashier just OK. They even had a party the Sunday we were there but we were out and about in town. Cute grocery store, super clean, came in handy while staying in the area during our Boston trip!

Italian Sub: $20 for a foot long, the meat was so plentiful it's almost overflowing, enough for two meals. The prisciutto was tender and juicy; the salami was firm and savory with a strong smokiness. Both are thinly sliced, so despite the thick stack, it was relatively easy for a bite. The provolone cheese was also generously portioned, with a robust yet not spicy flavor and a subtle nutty aroma, perfectly complementing the two meats. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were particularly outstanding: mellow, tangy, and with a fruity aroma of grapes, key to the complex flavor profile. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, especially the onions were refreshing and a little zingy, perfect for removing the greasiness. Unfortunately, I was worried about not being able to roll it back up properly and making it inconvenient to carry (which it actually happened), so I took it away and ate it at the office.
