I'm posting this for a friend who had P&T Auto Repair attempt to maintain her Audi A6 for the last several years. As near as I can tell, these clowns are completely incompetent. I have many years of experience in the auto repair industry and Audi's specifically. Nearly every job P&T did on this car was done wrong in one way or another. Here's a PARTIAL list with the dates if applicable from receipts: 1. Wheels; Half of the lug bolts were too tight, over 130 ft/lbs. The other half were too loose. This was the first clue that things are not right at P&T. 2. Timing belt replacement, 4/2014; They did not use the alignment tools required to set the cam timing correctly. The passenger side bank was more than 5 degrees off and the driver side was at least 3 degrees off. Charged for seals that were NOT replaced; they were obviously original equipment and leaking when disassembled two weeks ago. 3. Valve cover gaskets, 10/2012, 4/2015, 4/2015; They charged her for three different valve cover gasket jobs (at least $250 each time) over the last five years. The problem was not the VC gaskets but the camshaft seals and cam timing tensioner gaskets under the VC. They should've been changed during the timing belt replacement but were not. I replaced the seals and gaskets when I fixed the cam timing and Viola! No leak! 4. Shock absorbers, 8/2010; broke the headlight leveling sensor on the rear suspension. If they didn't do this it should've been noted. They re-aimed the headlights to circumvent the broken sensor. None of this was communicated to my friend. 5. Driver side front axle, 8/2010, 11/2017; Neglected to properly torque the driver side axle bolt and this resulted in the wheel bearing failing. Proper torque on this bolt is a well known requirement for Audi and VW front drive axles. Besides that, the axle they replaced in 2010 only lasted 30k miles. Obviously less than optimal parts. 6. Secondary coolant pump, 9/2009; Completely fouled up the routing of wiring and vacuum hoses under the SAI pump resulting in broken wiring and hoses several years later. 7. Driver door window regulator, 7/2015; Did not adjust the window frame at all leaving a gap between the frame and the door opening. Reinstalled the inner door panel comically incorrect. 8. Coolant bypass hose, 4/2015; Charged for a coolant bypass hose replacement. When I had the front end off the car to fix the various problems, I did not find any new hoses in there. I believe they gave her wall on this one. "Wall" is when the shop parks the car over by a wall and says the car is fixed. 9. Catalytic converters, 11/2017, Verbal; This one is the worst: They told my friend the reason for the car running poorly was bad catalytic converters. Nothing could have been further from the truth. The basic problem was the throttle boot being cracked resulting in a huge vacuum/boost leak. As soon as this was replaced, the car ran much better. As soon as the rest of the P&T induced foul-ups were fixed the car runs as it should. I've used the receipts from P&T as a road map of things to fix. Literally. BTW, cat replacement on these cars is VERY expensive. I'm sure P&T saw this as a way to part their customer with at least $2000 of their money. Besides all of the listed issues, the basic mechanic work was terrible. Incorrect, missing, loose or too tight fasteners. Incorrect or missing hose clamps. They didn't clean the debris from the rain tray resulting in the interior flooding with water. They replaced the transmission rear seal but ignored the differential seal that has leaked to the point of the bearings failing for lack of lubrication. The last item, catalytic converters, is what caused her to sell me the car and buy another car. Had she taken the car to a competent shop she would still be driving it. While I am enjoying the car now, I wish that I had known her before the start of P&T's involvement. I would strongly suggest finding a different place to work on your car. The work P&T did on this car is by far the worst example of "Professional" auto repair I have ever seen. They had a customer who trusted them for over eight years and used that trust to line their pockets. If I was still in the business, I would counsel my friend to sue them. Unfortunately, I am not and thus my observations cannot be used in a court of law. read more

We moved into our Office on Park ave in 2012. We have a fleet of Security Vehicles and we went to Phil, the owner and it has been the best business relationship we can ask for. As a company we can not have any vehicles down for any long period of time if it can be helped. My car was towed here when it stopped starting one morning possibly due to timing chain jumping. So I leave my car at this shop for a diagnostic and yes they tell me that my timing chain possibly is no good and that it might have caused my valves to leak due to the bending of a valve. These guys did the compression test on my car and stated that all my cylinders had 60 psi. No big deal quoted for 1200. Low and behold my car actually has an extended warranty so I decide to tow it the dealership. So we paid them the 50 dollars for their labor. Upon arrival to the dealership the valve cover on my engine was left unscrewed all spark plugs and ignition coils were left unplugged and missing. So at the dealership we open the trunk to my car and there they were. Really unprofessional would not recommend. TLDR THIS SHOP DID A COMPRESSION TEST ON MY CAR AND DIDNT PLUG THE IGNITION COILS OR SPARK PLUGS BACK IN AND LEFT THEM FREELY IN MY TRUCK. read more

I must have run into the rude guy rather than the nice guy Phil. P&T shares a parking lot with a barber shop. Our dance studio told us they had a deal with the barber shop that we could park in the lot after 7 PM. We've been doing that for years. Evidently no more. The rude guy came out using inappropriate language and told us he had called the tow truck. When I attempted to explain we had an agreement with the barber shop he called me a liar. I guess I have no need to ever patronize this business as I have no need to volunteer for abuse. I go now to write a real nice review for a business that deserves it. read more

Just had some major drive line work done on my Subaru WRX. This shop is honest and does a good job with quality parts. I priced out the clutch, flywheel seals and axles thinking I might do this myself but didn't have time. The parts quotes that P & T gave were below what I would have paid and they specified name brand oem quality parts. I know how to work on cars and P &T did this job right, replacing all of the seals and bearings that I would have replaced. I highly recommend this shop! read more
