I've had a terrible experience with PC Richards from start to finish. I gave the salesperson the exact model number of my fridge, and he still sold me the wrong size. We kept it because we needed a fridge, but it's been a headache ever since. The ice maker broke after a month, a tech replaced a part, and then it broke again. The next technician showed up two weeks later with no tools, said "your water pressure is low," and left. Then I bought a washer and dryer, and the installers surprised me with extra charges for a gas valve and an additional vent. After they left, the drain hose leaked. When they came back, they saw it leak once, but because it didn't leak on the second test, were he wanted to video they said there was "nothing they could do." I ended up paying a plumber to fix it. Overall, it's been nonstop issues, poor service, and zero accountability. I wouldn't recommend them based on this experience. read more

Been shopping all week for a recliner, a nice big one you know, but couldn't find one I liked. Then today I went to the drug store to get some milk, and when I come out, the PC Richards next door has a sign "Recliners on sale!" so I go in. After 4 minutes, I found a chair, everything I was looking for--who knew they even sold chairs! So I tell the hawkish salesman who is with 6 other salesmen--texting, "can I get some help here please!!" I tell him "I'll take it!" "OK boss, lets go do some paperwork" he said, with an overenthusiastic giggle in his voice. I think he saw dollar signs in his eyes, the way that Bugs Bunny did when he found money in the cartoons I watched as a kid. He immediatly asks for my name and phone number, and I asked him about the warranty--which stunned him. He just stared at me and seemed lost. After 5 minutes of searching through draws at the register, he hands me a brochure in Spanish, which I can't read. Then he finds a third-party up-sale insurance plan, but I told him - that's not a warranty. He calls another fellow over, and now I have two completely panicking salesmen looking for warranty information--then a third comes over! I gave them the benefit of the doubt, I really was gonna by that $799.00 overpriced chair, right there and then. But after another couple of minutes, they started to make excuses and just "tell me" the warranty verbally like, "if chair break we come over and fix it right away." I asked him if the motor was covered for replacement parts, not just mechanical repair, and they seemed to get frustrated because of my very reasonable questions. At that point I told them, "maybe next time, you just lost a sale because you weren't prepared. Maybe next time stop texting and anicipate what your customers may ask you, get ready--be ready." I am not sure how PC Richards management allows this behavior, nor how the company stays in business. read more

I purchased a LG refrigerator in September, 2021. My fridge stopped working on November 3rd, 2023. I called for it to be repaired. Upon arrival I was told that it was the compressor and parts needed to be ordered and it will take approximately a week. I then had to purchase a cooler and ice. When the parts came in it was repaired on November 22nd, 2023. The fridge worked for the total of 24 hours. I called and again it took a week for someone to come and do an assessment. When the 3rd repair person came I was informed that it probably needs Freon. However, he does not carry gas. In the interim I have purchased a loaner fridge and numerous bags of ice. I have a diabetic who resides with me and requires medications to be refrigerated. I have also thrown away so much of spoiled food. Presently I am waiting for another repair person to come on 12/6/23 to put Freon in the fridge. I was told that this is a special service and I will be contacted in order to schedule an appointment However, I have never been able to. The appointments are made on days that I have to work. It is over a month that I have been without a refrigerator. This has been a trying and disappointing experience to say the least. Hopefully it will be fixed. read more

Every time I go here I find something else that I need or want. Most recent I got two new bose speakers to stream music in my home wirelessly. Store has some decent inventory I suppose and the layout is nice and open but there was one employee who was really lazy. Think his name was Zack or something. Supervisor called him over from chilling by TVs and doing nothing to help me with headphones. He basically rushed me through the purchase, barely said anything and appeared annoyed the entire time. I was actually looking to buy a bluetooth speaker as well but I was so turned off I just kept moving. Time to head to Best Buy. As you know, its summer and its hot! I was getting away with not having an AC because I stayed in the living room. But I have a lot of family coming this weekend and I have to share a bed... My parents bought a GE washing machine from PC Richards in March 2018 and I was visiting them and noticed all this rust in the tub of the machine. Since they purchased a warranty plan we expected that this would be an easy repair. We took pictures and went back to store, the staff at the store seemed surprised that a 5 month old, "Stainless Steele" washing machine tub had so much rust. They scheduled an appointment for a GE Representative to come out and look at the problem. My parents received a call from a GE Rep canceling the appointment because apparently the warranty does not cover rust and directed them to page #9 of some warranty manual, which they did not receive, where it supposedly states that rust in the tub of the washing machine is not covered. What that tells me is that GE & PC Richards knows that they are selling inferior products and are blatantly deceiving buyers. read more

Bob is very knowledgeable on everything and he pays very close attention to detail in order to ensure that you are getting exactly what you want and at the best price possible. I always love going to P.C. Richard and Son. I just bought a TV recently from them and it turned out great. The service was fast and I loved it when all of the store employees and managers helped me out on choosing the best selection for a TV. Never be afraid to bite the bullet whenever you go to this store because they have all types of products to choose from. Occasionally on every holiday, they go on sales and do special ones accordingly. Their prices are great too when choosing the right product. About 7 months ago I bought a mattress too, a full size, similar to a queen. When I went in one day to buy the mattress and I got to try all the mattresses to see which one I liked which was great. Nice location with good size parking lot right off Ralph Ave. Great indoor lighting too unlike the Flatbush location. Harry is everything a person should look for in a salesman. Not only is he knowledgeable about televisions and home appliances but he recommends things that he buys for his own home. So far he's recommended vacuums( 3 which all still work after 2 years and given as gifts), televisions, a refrigerator, a Samsung tablet, an iron (my favorite German made iron), and an excellent set of computer speakers. I have been coming to this particular PC Richard & son since I moved to this neighborhood 6 years ago. I keep coming back for the customer service. My sales rep is always Brian. Over the past 6 yrs he has helped me find the right appliances for me. Including refrigerator, washer, dryer, 7 tv's, air conditioners & most recently a new stove. No matter how many questions I ask about different brands he always has the answer and helps me make the best choice. The staff has remained the same for the several years that I have been going there, which also shows how the Owners and Managers take care of their personnel, this is really nice to see. In the past month I bought a stove, a refrigerator, and a large wall mounted AC unit and my experience could not have been better. Sales person Kelvin attended to my needs within minutes of entering the store and in each instance bought the proper appliance that fit in my house but also at the right price. No sales pressure, in fact, Kelvin just advised me of my options in regards to my house size and doorway and kitchen dimensions and he let me choose what I wanted. I went in this store to buy a refrigerator, after standing around for about 15 minutes finally I got help, needless to say the wrong person. He was a man about 5'5 or 5"6., bald head and two front gold tooth, he was RUDE. He obviously got upset because I opted for a refrigerator that was $999 instead of the one he was pushing for which it was a higher price. I asked him to ask the manager a question for me regarding the price, he said no because he works there and he knows the answer. I was so disgusted that I left the store without purchasing anything and I really needed a refrigerator because the one I had gave out. I went to the PC Richards on Flatbush Ave, 40min before closing and I bought a refrigerator, spend $1738 to be exact, from the manager to the sales person they were awesome. A Great Outcome to a Disappointing Dilemma On Friday, June 13, 2014, I received a call from the store confirming my delivery for Saturday, June 14th. I confirmed delivery again on Saturday morning and was informed to expect my delivery between the hours of 7:45am - 10:30am. Here's the Dilemma: Saturday, I received a phone call from the store at approximately 9:30am, stating that I would NOT be receiving my refrigerator as promised due to an unexplained mix up at the warehouse that resulted in my refrigerator NOT being put on the truck for delivery. This was a very disappointing ordeal being that I was now without a refrigerator, and the one that I was assured of getting, was not going to arrive. I spoke with Harryaire, my sales associate, who was very pleasant and escalated the matter to Martin, Store manager. I explained the ordeal to Martin and my concerns were addressed and resolved immediately. Martin not only showed empathy towards my dilemma but went above and beyond, and upgraded my refrigerator to another model being that my original selection was not available. He then proceeded to get the new refrigerator delivered to me on the very same day, so I wouldn't have to endure any further inconvenience. I am very satisfied with the receipt of my new refrigerator. I would like to thank Martin for his diligence and professionalism in getting my issue resolved quickly and effectively in a timely manner.
