Okay, I will start off saying I like this company as a whole. I think their services are great, their promos are good, and overall in the past their customer service was good. My two star rating is for this location particularly. Now, I know right now stores are crazy with pick-ups and deliveries. But, I ordered online for curbside... and waited all day and did not get an email for pick-up. I figured, it's busy let me call and find out if it'll be done tomorrow. So I called, they told me "wow I'm sorry but this item is out of stock" so I asked, if they could order it... they said "no, it's completely out of stock even at the warehouse" so I called the website customer service to cancel my order, kind of annoyed no one let me know it was out of stock... the man over the phone told me that their store started the day with four of that product in stock! Ha must have been an impressive sales day.... so then I said well is it possible to have it delivered to me and the man did it for me and it was at my house the next day. This tells me it was not out of stock "completely" perhaps in the store although that's highly debatable... so the two stars is for the incredibly terrible customer service at this location. read more

Stay away from this store. Bought a Samsung fridge on Oct. 3, and by Jan.4 it was broken. I called for service and repairman came Jan. 9. He said it couldn't be fixed and store manager had to decide what to do next. When I called store manager, he suggested I come to buy another one. After some harsh words, he told me I would get a new fridge the Monday . I gave phone to my husband and manager told him they could not deliver Monday; it would come Tuesday. When I called Monday evening to confirm delivery, there was no record of replacement delivery, I spoke with same manager as before and he said he was trying to get it for me, but it had to be approved by higher up. I asked why he stated I would get a replacement when he had no authority to authorize one, and he just kept saying he was on the phone all day trying to get one, then he said, "Since you refused repair it's difficult to get a new fridge". I never refused repair, the repairman said it was it could not be fixed. And that the manager had to make the next decision. I did not make any comment at all. I got nothing but the runaround until I begged to speak with someone else. Another manager got on the phone and I went through the story again. He told me he would call a district manager to straighten out the situation. I hung up the phone feeling like a jerk. To be told, firstly to wait until someone makes a decision as what to do about a broken brand new fridge is a slap in the face. Why should a consumer wait? For what? Then to be told it would be delivered and find out that was a flat out lie, slap, slap, then told that I refused service... SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! I had to fight to get the three-month old broken fridge fixed or replaced. So waiting to hear from PC Richards. I will never shop there again. It seems the first manager I spoke with was annoyed that I expected something to be done about the broken fridge, he had a "It's not my problem" attitude. On top of that he flat out lied! There are so many other stores to get appliances from. Save yourself the headache and shop at any one of them rather than PC Richards. One star is too many for this store. Epilogue : After speaking with another store manager, a new fridge was delivered Thursday. I had to wait a week, because PC Richard couldn't figure out how to handle this situation and throw out the food I stored in ice-chests while I waited. When I asked about a refund for the food that went to waste because of the week long wait, PC Richards blew off my request, told me to contact Samsung. Now, when I go to get something out of the fridge I'm annoyed just looking at it. PC Richards takes out ads touting their reliability, honesty, and purpose, however when the time came to stand by their word , they did none of these things. I cannot blame anyone for an appliance breaking, I understand these things happen, but the way PC Richards handled the situation was wrong on so many levels. If only someone listened to my complaint and handled it as soon as possible, and offered something for the trouble caused I would have believed PC Richards' claims of customer service and dependability. This would have been a very different review. Do not shop at PC Richards. Try some other store. read more

Needed to build out the man cave with home theater equipment, walked in here not expecting a huge selection or premium gear, was PLEASANTLY surprised. It's one t hing to do your research online, but totally another to actually see the equipment and talk to folks who are real audiophiles and know their stuff. Didn't have any reason to complete my purchase online as they are BETTER priced. There is a lot of competition out there, not many can actually sound educated on their products and actually care about their customers getting the right product rather then making a quick buck. These folks get it. I will be coming back here for my kitchen appliances, they have earned my business. read more

I bought a fridge for my new home here because after much checking they had the best price also i had a horrible experience with the delivery company Home Depot uses and i knew i would never buy appliances from them again. After going to the store looking around and talking to a salesman and manager i made my decision. Not only is the fridge beautiful but the customer service is excellent. The manager Rob was very helpful and polite the delivery men were also polite and knew what they were doing and showed up when they said they would. Overall an excellent experience would defi recommend and will be buying future appliances from this store. read more

I tried to return a Snow Joe Thrower-Electric and they would NOT take it back. According to them it's their policy that a snow blower cannot be returned. Also, they suggested that I was doing that because the winter was over which I find that comment very insulting. The snow blower was not what I expected and I was not happy with the performance. In the process of researching brands I had visited any and every store that sells appliances, but it wasn't until I visited PC Richards that I found the trifecta of: great prices, service and expertise. After I spoke to PC RICHARD costumer service and I talked to them, they agreed with me and did the right thing and are now replacing my stove ( thank you ) I also really appreciate Mr. Rensford, a different store manager, from the same stores, for being so polite and respectful and also super helpful. thank you. There are two managers here one is fine, the other a Hispanic gentleman with glass, hope to god you never see him. I have never met such a rude and disrespectful person in my life. I have bought my whole kitchen and TV set ( around 10000) here because everyone here was so friendly and this guy ruined the whole store for me. I came in because I bough my stove in April and it's hasn't been working and I being waiting for the pieces since November ( I been calling about it since October ) and today ( February 9) when they where suppose to come and fix it they told me to come here and talk to the store because the piece was broken. I came and ask to speak to a manager and this "gentleman" after I explain my situation was to busy to even look up from his computer/phone to answer any simple question and all he would say was call the costumer service and it's not my problem with the worst attitude possible. I never bought an AC unit before and had a lot of questions. He was very helpful with answering all the questions. I've been a loyal and long-standing customer with PC Richards for over 13 years. I recently purchase a plush Sealy mattress from the store in Union and what a huge mistake. I spent over $800 on the mattress so I expected good quality and comfort compared to my old mattress -- instead I've not had a good night's sleep since they installed it in May. I've developed severe upper back, shoulder and neck pain from trying to sleep on this mattress. I've not been able to get a good night's rest in months!! I waited a few months before reporting the problem because it's my understanding it takes a few months to break in a new mattress. I've contacted the store and head office on numerous occasions and only ended up getting the runaround to spend more money on specialty bed frame with no positive outcome. They dispatched 2 technicians to assess the problem and at the end of the day, PC Richards said there's nothing they can do to resolve the problem. This has been the worst experience I've ever had purchasing a mattress and I was especially disappointed in the manner in which PC Richards handled this complaint. I guess being a loyal customer who has spent thousands of dollars purchasing appliances and referring friends and family to them was not important enough for them to try and make things right. I now have to discard this mattress to avoid permanent or irreversible back problems and go elsewhere to buy a replacement. I'll never spend another dime with this establishment. read more

Their delivery service is the worst! They call and tell you one time but it never happens. Then they have the worst follow up and no one will except responsibility. They will tell you they made an error; they will provide an alternative delivery date; the BS goes on and on. Bottom line is that they are not a good company to work with. And, as far as pricing, you cannot accept the first price they give you. There is always a better deal but you have to ask for it. I purchased a HP copy machine which is a fax and a scanner. I had some issues with it because when the ink right it never told me that it was running out of ink. So it was exchanged. but when I brought it back home it still didn't work because it needed the original ink cartridge that came with the box in order for it to work. I brought it back and spoke to a manager by the name Juan on route 22 Union NJ. He was extremely helpful and very friendly.My husband and I have purchased a lot of items from PC Richards and most of the times have been very pleased with there items. anyway to make a long story short I finally got my copier to work and everything is great. most definitely out of anything I have to tell you that because of Juan a week after that I bought a stovetop there because he was very courteous and very helpful to us and he was very pleasant which made me want to purchase another item that we need it. read more
