You guys take all the excitemnt out of shopping! When I head to the highway to buy an appliance, I expect to be lied to by a pushy, high pressure salesman who talks down to me in a condecondescending tone. Imagine my surprise when I was greeted at the door of your Paramus store by Kevin. A friendly, polite, knowledgeable salesman who was able to help me with exactly what I needed. I was shopping for a new tv set, and Kevin patiently explained to me all of the tech specs between the models in my price range. After making my selection, Kevin offered various products to compliment my purchase... soundbar, mounting bracket, warrant, etc. Although I'm not ready to make those additions right now, I will certainly be coming back to P.C. Richard Paramus to visit Kevin again in the near future for those items. Salespeople of his calicaliber is the reason I've been a P.C. Richard & Son customer for 22 years. read more

I'd been holding off on replacing my existing stacked washer/dryer because there were so many…read morevariables to deal with. My condo association required a ventless dryer, I had limited space, and I didn't want to go through the hassle of bringing in an electrician to change out the existing 240V power receptacle for a standard 120V. I'd also gone through a nightmare with a salesperson at another appliance dealer who lacked attention to detail and frankly had a rotten attitude. When I found a w/d set that would satisfy all of my requirements, I couldn't find the dryer anywhere. Needless to say, I was getting discouraged. Having had positive experiences with P.C. Richard on smaller items in the past, I checked their website to find that they carried both units AND they were on sale. When I got to the store, Kevin M. helped me out, even showing me a couple of discounted (scratch & dent/refurbished) units in addition to the showroom models. After the sale, Kevin kept me updated on the status of my order and even asked me to take a photo of the 240V receptacle to assure we'd settled on the right units. (This was huge for me, as the salesperson at the first place I went to never bothered to ask, and in fact, sold me a 120V unit.) When the stacking piece was delayed, he offered a creative solution so that I'd get the washer and dryer in a timely fashion. On delivery day, the installers actually came *early* and did a great job removing my old w/d and setting up the new ones. I was impressed with their efficiency, attention to detail and that they took all of the packaging material with them when they left. All in all, a great experience! Bravo to Kevin and the team.

A comparable replacement MacBook is about $4500 today so a repair is a good option. I brought it to Paul and he fixed it in less than 15 minutes, and charged me $45. I definitely recommend him, for both his expertise, and the entire customer experience. What was also noteworthy to me was that while in his shop, another customer came in and interrupted my session with Paul, while he was making the repair and finishing up. The gentleman appeared to be challenged. Paul was kind and gracious throughout the experience. I would recommend Paul to anyone who has computer or iPhone issues that need addressing. Good values. I don't think it's entirely true; however, I suppose some readers might agree that B&N has gone out of style over the years. For instance, in the Edison location B&N still features a huge area entirely devoted to DVDs and CDs - forms of media which increasingly become irrelevant to consumers with each passing year. The advent of technological development has overtaken the usefulness of paper books. Even the professors from my graduate school program studies (circa 2020-2022) elected to use digital textbooks for 85% of the curriculum coursework. Perhaps brick and mortar B&N stores ought to inject a new retail experience into their business model that involves the offline-to-online and online-to-offline offerings (i.e. digital kiosks in stores)

I visited right after opening, a little after 10 am (many businesses do not open until 11am, like my beloved Seed+Mill). My first impression was that it reminded me of a food hall similar to what I experienced in various cities in Japan. The variety of foods available is impressive and you really can find it all here, from an Italian grocer to Japanese to the various food stands offering everything from BBQ to the best halvah I've ever had. And there's a Pearl River Mart and other places to find gifts and souvenirs. My favorite of this ilk is Muji Market, which has all the Japanese amazing things! Also of note: very clean bathrooms. It reminds me of the bathrooms at Grand Central, a lot of stalls, sinks in the center, only much, much more pleasant. I'll be back as soon as I can. It's silly that I didn't come here when I actually lived in New York.

Wanted to highlight a few more stores here for this review: - Moon Man Foods: a Brooklyn-based company, they have a small stand about a third of the way thru the market (walking east to west), selling southeast Asian kaya jam, which is coconut-based and contain eggs, coconut milk, sugar, starch, and salt. They come in pandan, ube, and Java palm sugar (aka gula melaka) flavors. - Pearl River Mart and Pearl River Mart Foods: back in the day they used to be located in SoHo on Broadway, though rising rents made them relocate, and I'm glad they're still around! They carry all sorts of Asian-inspired decor, serving ware, stationery, and their "Foods" location downstairs is combination of Asian grocery, bubble tea (Milk & Tea), and Korean and Chinese snack/takeout stands (Kimbap Lab and Mao's Bao's). - Muji Market: this is a smaller location that carries a narrower assortment than your average Muji (house wares, basic apparel, accessories, kitchenware, snacks), though they have a full cafe serving coffee and matcha, simple Japanese lunch items like bowls, sandwiches and bento. Cafe prices seem a little higher probably due to the location. - gallery art: there is a small whitewashed hallway gallery of maybe a couple dozen small pieces by local artists, featuring NYC-centric photos, sketches, paintings, multi-media. Found this fun and entertaining!
